"For several years, the theatre company Poor Richard's Players has not had a home of their own. Now they do and it's called The Playhouse.Located on Decatur Boulevard near Arizona Charlies, the Playhouse is a space in progress as pointed out last night by one of the company's founders. The space can be configured in any number of ways, and I look forward to seeing future shows of PRP and see how the directors choose to use the space. For the inaugural show, they are doing Lizzie the Musical, a musical about Lizzie Borden. There are four very talented women who do the roles and there ism a wonderful live band which is great!I'd recommend this theatre company to anyone. They do good work. And, I'm glad they have a home of their own, the Playhouse!"
"Melody Sweets, the Green Fairy from Absinthe, organized this special showing with help from Frank Marino's Divas (so she said) to benefit the UNLV College of Fine Arts. Titled "Big Top Circus and Burlesque!", Melody's show was more burlesque and comedy than circus but highly entertaining nonetheless. Tickets for the general public were $20-25, but UNLV students gained admission to the event for only $15! The show was just around an hour and ten minutes long. The show got off to a late start. It was supposed to start at midnight but they didn't actually start admitting people in until a little after 12AM. The show eventually started at 12:30AM. They say there isn't a bad seat in the house at the Spiegeltent at Caesars Palace, but I'd disagree. The seats are basic, i. e., uncomfortable, chairs bound together by zip ties. At least they're eclectic! There's no rise to the seating, so if you're sitting behind someone taller than you, you're SOL. The stage is in the center and all the chairs are arranged in a circle around it. I will say this, during some parts of the show the stage does rise, giving the audience a better view of the performers. The show started off with a comedic rendering of the national anthem, most of which I did not see because of poor viewing. After Melody Sweets and the whole cast did their opening number, the first act was an aerial act with two women who hung above the audience twirling about on a large hoop. There was some accidental nipple action (clothing malfunction), but the performer just grinned and kept performing, nipple out and all. The second acts was when a large older woman came out covered in balloons and smoking a cigarette, popping her balloons till she was practically naked. The third main act was another female duo doing breathtaking acrobatic stunts above the audience in the air. The finale was a tight rope act that literally had me holding my breath. All the major acts were filled with smaller comedic acts, the favorite of which was when an older gentleman went on stage in whitey tighties and did a "strong man" act with a blow up sex doll. Almost every act performed was greeted with a standing ovation. Melody Sweets had a few solo numbers and provided most of the musical aspects to the show. Me and my date overall really enjoyed the show. I would leap at the chance to see the next show Melody Sweets puts on.YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2015: #159"
"We have been wanting to catch this show for awhile and finally got the chance to attend it. Cliff Wright, his backup singer and band were all great. The show is very entertaining and a wonderful journey thru the life and career of Johnny Cash. We loved the selection of songs (both well know and deep tracks as well). Overall, we had a great experience watching this great group of singers and musicians!"
"This is a brand new show at the V theatre. Being a local I hate having to pay to park but at Miracle Mile shops where this theatre is located offers free parking . Since this is brand new I had no idea what to expect from the show . I just know I love Gaga and Brit so why not ? Especially since it allowed my children . It was a Monday night show that we attended so our audience wasn't as interactive as the prior review posted but I for one was singing along . The show started off with Madonna and I quickly noticed how amazing the dancers were . These guys impressed me sooooo much they legit went non stop the whole show . They definitely connect with the audience and have major skills . They are lots of fun to watch I sadly didn't catch their names but they rock and are easy on the eyes . Next up was Britney Spears tribute artist and she looks so much like the real deal and personally I feel she sings better than the original. If you enjoy the music and love the idea of seeing a live performance with sexy guys talking about being a womanizer or toxic not to mention hit me baby one More time .Last but not least is Lady Gaga played by @VegasChristina who stole the show with her piano standing skills and cheerful vibe she is the one who interacted with us most of the show and her Gaga is Amazing .Personally I am excited to see this show again the next time one of my pals visits because all the videos I posted to Snapchat had my friends believing that I was seeing a real concert but this is nice fun song and dance experience that is child friendly and showcases real talent .Plus the waitress who is working the theatre beverages was super awesome .I hope this show ends up sticking around but either way it was tons of fun for my family since I'm a baller on a budget this fills my fix for sexy blonde pop stars .I can't give you a breakdown in the same way the other review did but I will say this is a group of amazing dancers , awesome females & enjoyable nostalgia."
"First time at this new theater was last week. I had been wanting to see Past Lives and checked their website and they were showing on a Friday afternoon. I was able to purchase my tickets online. The cost was $10 a good deal. I arrived and was able to secure a parking spot right outside the theater. They open the doors about 15 minutes before showtime. When I walked in, I was so impressed with how clean and pristine the theater is. The aisle leading to the theater has some classic old movie posters framed which is a nice touch. The snack bar is really a treat. Along with candies of all kinds, they offer both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks to purchase. I saw soda, water, wine, beer, kombucha and some white claw, and there were other drinks too. They also offer popcorn and Beverly Theater merchandise.Staff was very friendly and were able to answer any and all questions. When it was time to enter the theater, I went first so I could get a pic of the seating (minus people). The seats are not as comfortable as some of the luxury theaters but they aren't uncomfortable. They are just a little stiff. The screen itself is not as big as your normal theater but that is because this room is also used for other events such as poetry readings and concerts. Since the Village Square theater has now closed here is where you will find foreign films, older films and more culturally diverse films. Overall my experience here was great. The movie was good, the sound was clear and the theater stayed cool and comfortable. This space features a bright white outdoor patio and another outdoor space upstairs. One of the staff informed me that on the weekends, there is live jazz music performed by various groups and it's on the upstairs patio. It is free to attend.I am so glad this theater opened and can't wait to attend more movies and events here."
"I have to update my review. I have been here for theatre, opera, and dance performances. Seating is comfortable and sight lines are good wherever you choose to sit. I came here for a special Juneteenth Black Swan Hour program put on my Vegas City Opera. Before the show, I got a chance to view their annual art contest. This is special about this Arts Center--even when there isn't a large art display, there is a small gallery that almost always has art to enjoy.Ticketing is done by the City of Las Vegas using the Ovation Tix platform and having your ticket on the phone is super easy and convenient. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. We are fortunate to have spaces like this run by the city and/or county. It really makes our community richer!"
"We enjoyed the show very much! I thought it was better than the TV show because only better acts were there. Also the seats were very comfortable! If you like the TV show then you will love America's Got Talent Live!"
"I like trying new things, from dishes I haven't heard of to unusual entertainment options. A few friends put LVLT on my radar, and I took a colleague to check out the local community theater scene with The Birds. Online ticket ordering process was easy, location is not difficult to find, plenty of parking, and the staff are welcoming. Our show didn't have an intermission, which might be a bit of a blessing because the chairs began to get uncomfortable. The performance wasn't what I expected, and was only vaguely related to the original source material. I'll blame the writing rather than the acting for my disappointment, and note that the audio, lighting, etc were all good. But the story itself had some (intentional?) plot holes and didn't come together cohesively, and there was a lot of profanity that served no purpose. Just not for me, I guess. Many of the audience members around us seemed to be season ticket holders, and as we exited, even they were commenting that this was one of the strangest performances they'd seen here, so I'll keep an eye on future shows and maybe give something else a try."
"Cliff Notes Price Range: $$ Parking: Plenty Perk: Easy to get to Non-Perk: So cold...other than that, none Ambiance: Dark and spookyNoise: LowTemperature: EXTREMELY Cold!!!Recommend: 100%DissertationRegardless of your Las Vegas residency you should take a stroll to this event. We went here on a girl's night and had an absolute blast. Although we initially got in a little bit of trouble (talking too loudly, it was the alcohol, not us, I swear), but Kent put us in our place quickly and with a great sense of humor. He is very good at what he does to the point of creepiness, and I mean this as a compliment.... Seriously, is he really talking to the dead or is this an act??? I would highly recommend seeing his show, however dress warmly, my girlfriend who is always hot, was freezing! Feels like you are in the East Antarctica Plateau with nothing on.Side Note: This is in the 1923 Prohibition Bar speakeasy located in the Mandalay Bay, upstairs from House of Blues and adjacent to Minus5º Ice Experience."
"Performing at Alexis Park Resort, the King lives on.Found this show on Vet tix and decided to go see him. I've seen a lot of Elvis impersonators and this young man is by far the best I've seen. This is a high energy show where everyone was singing and participating. His voice, his moves, he is the real deal and why he has a show at Alexis Park Resort. The venue is not huge and there is not a bad seat in the house. He had the ladies screaming and the guys a smiling. If you've never seen this show, it's a cool venue, easy to get to and he puts on an amazing show.I highly recommend this show, you'll be All Shook UP!!!"
"Armando Vera is a good close-up magician located in the Saxe theater in the Miracle Miles shop at Planet Hollywood. I enjoyed watching him, even though I've seen some of the tricks before at the Magic Castle in LA but he also have tricks that i have never seen before. It is an appropriate show for kids so you can bring the whole family. He interacts with the kids so if you want them to participate, try to sit in the first or second row. This show is very small, you'll be able to sit anywhere and see the close-up magic. I bought a VIP package off the Nathan Burton website and it included Armando Vera. The VIP package is a great deal, it was only $25. I would not pay more for it. Overall, it was fun to watch if you like close-up magic"
"Went to see this show on a Saturday night. The show is actually in the chateau night club. It's hosted by a fabulous drag queen and its a coed burlesque dancing show with four guys and four girls. This show was definitely done tastefully. No real nudity is shown because all the dancers wear pasties to cover their nipples. But it is risqué and raunchy! I had a great time. The dancers had great routines and it was overall very entertaining. They dapple in different types of dance including Polynesian hula dancing, pole dancing, a little bit of contemporary ballet, jazz etc. The highlights of the show for me we're definitely from the women. There was a sensual dance involving a shower that was incredible and sexy! I love the pole dance. That girl was so strong and graceful she pulled her body up that pole like no other. The hostess was funny and entertaining as well. I would recommend seeing it!"

This theatre is a treasure for performing arts in Las Vegas. It's nestled in the parking lot shopping mall area near Arizona Charlie's. When you enter the theatre you immediately feel at home and welcomed. It's like walking into a model home that you feel like you could take your shoes off in and snuggle up on the couch, as it's really nice, clean, and sheike, but also adorned with art from past shows and an atmosphere that is full of community. The theatre company, Poor Richard's Players, that owns the theatre, always puts on quality shows that have care, talented actors, creativity, stunning and thoughtful sets, great sound, and on point tech. All their productions are professional and unassuming. And they are well known in the local theatre community as they have won Best in Fringe at the Las Vegas Fringe Festival several years in a row. Their inaugural show for the theatre, Lizzie the Musical, was very well done with a full live band, a stunning set, a fog machine, creative lighting effects, and a killer cast. Even the lobby and entrance were adorned for the show so your experience started the second you walked in the door. From what I saw, the theatre is in the style of a black box theatre, an open space area that can be manipulated to accommodate a variety of audience and stage configurations with black walls. The ceiling is a beautiful open beam ceiling with string lights that illuminate the house when needed. They have a small lobby area, ticket booth, enclosed tech booth area, and restroom. It also has green rooms, costume room, workshop room, and more. I'm excited to see future productions in this space as it's obvious a lot of thought and care goes into what they produce and everything is tastefully done.

Cliff and the band put on a great show! I've seen it twice, already, and plan to go a whole lot more. Had the whole place hootin' and hollerin', on their feet, dancing and clapping. I can not stress enough what a great show this is. Love the intimate setting, too. Seriously, even if you're only a casual fan, you'll get a kick out of this show. This is what live music should be!

I must confess, that papa doesnt preach, about my bad romance. lol. Felt like an audience karaoke party while personally singing with Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Britney tribute artists. Although, being eye fu*ked by talented dancers giving it their all really knocked this show out of the park. The audience really makes the show and with the quaintness of this theater youll feel like youre watching an off-Broadway production. Thats a compliment. This is the Vegas Strip afterall where musicals and anything resembling Broadway doesnt last. After sitting halfway through the opening numbers I was impressed. The live singing (its a David Saxe production), fast paced choreography (kudos to Jordie Brown), audio visual capabilities, and unique wardrobe that constantly changed sold everyone in the audience as we sang along to many of the remaining numbers. In short, the show will have earned a standing ovation when the curtain drops. We actually, stuck around to get photos with the main acts AND dancers.

I was very impressed with this new theatre in DTLV. Opening at the beginning of March, the theatre screens films that are not shown in regular theatres. There are also screenings of classic films.I was at the Beverly yesterday for a staged reading of the new musical "The House on Watch Hill" written by Richard Oberacker and Robert Taylor. for a film, there is much room between the first row of seats and the screen so you could sit in the front row and not have a stiff neck from staring up.The facility is v ery well done. Bright, white interior, a concession stand, restrooms, and a rooftop seating area suited for Las Vegas weather. The only negative I had was the length of the seat arms. Each has a cup holder. The arms are short enough that I found myself resting my arms on the cup holders. This is minor and picky. This iwill have a major impact on the arts scene in DTLV. Funded by the Rogers Foundation, it is the culmination of the desire Beverly Rogers had to create such a space. Wonderful idea!

Really interesting and fun place in the community. They offer fine arts classes in everything from painting to crafting to theater to dance. They are good, too. They have tons of options for younger folks, but adults, too. They are probably most famous for their young people's theater program, "Rainbow Company." The Arts Center also presents shows by professionals, too. I've seen a concert, and a historical one-woman show here. They also have juried art exhibits, and there is a little exhibition room for art there. There are also dances here! Like at Valentine's Day. And there are other delights, too.The location is not bad, right off Charleston on a little side street called, "Brush." There are shuttles here from local old folks' homes. You shouldn't be afraid to come here, but I would come with a buddy and lock my car door for one of the night events. It's a bit dark and the pavement in the parking lot can be a bit uneven, and it's not the most welcoming neighborhood, fyi. But it is a treasure of art and embracing one's culture and talent here. Well-run and well-managed, and relatively inexpensive.

The performers we saw were Light Balance with their illuminated outfits and dancing, Duo Transcend with their aerobatics, The Silhouettes with their beautiful silhouettes artistry, Celia Muños with her ventriloquism, Human Fountains with their somewhat gross but funny water routine, The Pack Drumline with drum line routine incorporating dance, Mervant Vera and rap magic act, Aubrey Burchell's singing, and the evening finished with a Light Balance performance. The performers were quarterfinalists to finalists. Seeing their ads, I saw pictures of Kodi Lee and Aidan Bryant, winners of their respective season/series. So it was disappointing that a winner was not performing at the show. I was really hoping to see Kodi Lee. The show was entertaining, but when you show images of winners in your ads, you would expect a winner to be in the show. Too bad they don't disclose the people that will be performing before you buy your ticket.

My parents and I had season passes to the LVLT when I was a young teen. We went to every single play for a couple years and I enjoyed every production that LVLT has put on. Twenty years later and I looked into bringing my son so he could experience what I got to when I was young. I was so happy to find that they were not only around still but have grown in size. This year is their 40th year open, so amazing! Congrats! I brought my son to see the musical, Ruthless!! I thought he would enjoy it because it was about a little girl who would do anything to have the lead roll in her schools play. From the first few minutes to the very last, we laughed and laughed and laughed. The cast was very talented and hilarious! The show was one of the funniest I have ever seen. The range of all the characters is a must see. The theater itself is everything I remember but the front of the house has changed. I love the art on the walls, there was some cool stuff. The tickets are priced great and seats were easy to find. I purchased mine a month in advance and had pick of the room. My son picked out a handful of shows that he wanted to see and changed his mind into wanting a season pass. This coming from a 12 year old boy, I am ecstatic! I can't wait for the next show, we will be there. I highly recommend the Las Vegas Little Theater!

"I've seen this show twice now, and can honesty say this is probably one of the best tribute shows in town! And this is coming from someone who barely knows the songs they sing! But you'll love it if you're into rock from the 70s and 80s! The musicians and vocalists are so talented, and all are from actual rock bands and musical groups too!The show is currently located at the Duomo inside the Rio, but they will be relocating Mid-April 2023 to Hard Rock Live on the strip!"
"This was a fun albeit different show from Criss's Mindfreak. It's fairly new, and it's a collaboration involving the Cirque de Soleil director. So, you can expect some Cirque elements. There was a contortionist and some acrobatics as well as that overall surreal dream vibe you get from Cirque shows. This show also features several new magicians, so you will have a little less exposure to Criss. They're good, though, including a very impressive reenactment of Houdini's escape from a straight jacket while submerged in water. The show is supposed be the story of Criss's life, but it was a bit hard too follow that story. Maybe they are still working on the story since the show is new. Definitely worth checking out, especially now while they're offering package deals for both shows or a discount if you come back another time to check out Amystika."
"First off I admire the talent and beauty that the ladies of Crazy Girls exude. They are all one of a kind. There is nothing like this in Las Vegas! If you havent seen the show, I suggest you go. Its been in Las Vegas for over 31 years. The longest running show.Ive seen the show since it first opened at the Riviera Hotel in the 1990's. I have always been overwhelmed by the exquisite expertise of the dance numbers. So carefully choreographed. It is beyond sexy and tests the limits of universal sexuality. The ladies all come out after the show and take photos and converse with the guests. Very interactive. Its located at Planet Hollywood on the strip on the Mezzanine level. Park in valet and the elevators are off to the right of the entrance. Highly Recommend from a former performer/dancer. A Must See!"
"Haven't laughed that hard in a long time! So sweet, but naughty! The volunteers are truly the stars of the show! Don't hesitate, go and have the time of your life!"
"What a great place to bring your kids. This place is so much more than a come learn a play type of place. They teach you the ins and outs of the business as well. My teenage daughter loves acting class day. Highly recommend this academy."
"I got free tickets for this show from HouseSeats.com. I was pleasantly surprised. There were bad parts, but they were so bad, it becomes good. It's in a small theatre in the Rio. There are some VIP tables right in front of the stage and then several rows of seats. It's small enough that there really isn't a bad seat in the place. There were just a handful of dancers - all blonde. Two were really good. The rest were ho-hum. Some of the costumes were good, some were terrible. The music selection was good. And some of the dance scenes were really well done. And some were just awkward. The show is divided into two parts with a comedian in between. The comedian was actually pretty funny. She was definitely one of the better parts of the show. All in all, I was quite entertained and I never once wondering "is this almost over yet?". So in my book, that makes it a success."
"Mission: Find a show on Christmas Eve for the family that meets the following requirements. Not a cirque du soleil. Not a magician. Not a burlesque. Not a comedian. Not a singer. Not too expensive. Not too late. Not sold out. Well, that limited the options. I actually did not cast my vote. Sometimes with families, it is better that way.So after much discussion and reviews of the options, the in-laws decided to see the Ultimate Variety Show. Bought the tickets online for a show the next day. It is sort of a cross between the variety shows from old Vegas and what you might see on a cruise ship. The theater is....retro and intimate. All of the seats, except a few obstructed with a supporting beam, have a good view of the stage. If you sit close, you might become part of the show. The MC, Wally Eastwood, kept the flow as well as doing some assorted tricks like juggling, jokes and playing the piano with a tennis ball. The other acts of included a very good magician, a balancing duo, a hoop specialist, and a comedian. The Crazy Gauchos lived up to their name with their crazy drum routine. The show changes regularly, so you never know what acts you might see. Tickets were just $50 with taxes and fees on Vegas.com. Show starts at 7 PM. Located in Planet Hollywood, you can still see traces of the old Aladdin Casino as you wait for the show. A good choice for a family friendly show."
"Old school nostalgic show. It's still very good, but it just pales in comparison to some of the newer shows. The theater is small and really really old the sound and the technology is from 20 years ago and you can tell it to age. After we sat down, we could smell peoples vomit that was left behind from previous shows. It was quite disgusting. The singer and dancers are obviously very talented, and the tribute to the legends of Las Vegas back in the 40s 50s and 60s was nice. But in the current year 2023 there's just so many other shows to choose from. Unfortunately, it just lacks any wow factor.Definitely would not come back again."
"We got the VIP package for the Men of X for my cousin's bachelorette party and the show was awesome. The guys were hot (thank god) and I would say that only two were blah. They actually bring girls on stage (usually the ones who ordered VIP tickets) you also get free rhinestone panties, meet and greet pictures with the guys and a lap dance/show. My cousin's guy turned out to be the hottest one (a former Janice Dickinson model). She was happy and the rest of the girls had fun and I got to shove a dollar bill down some guy's underwear (after trying to hand it to him - I know I'm a prude) so all in all a great experience."
"This was a random chance experience. Meaning, someone was asking if I was interested in seeing a mentalist and I said, "Okay, I'm in." I have seen performances like this before. So, for the content I was somewhat prepared and the nail gun "trick" was something I have seen specifically done before by someone else, maybe Penn and Teller? Either way, it doesn't matter. Gerry McCambridge not only does an outstanding job but he is literally The Mentalist. From the internet: "In 2002 Gerry wrote his first TV script titled "The Mentalist" and took it out to Los Angeles to pitch it to the major networks. Jeff Zucker, the president of NBC witnessed Gerry's live performances many times, and instantly licensed the special for his network. Gerry became the creator, executive producer and star of the hit prime-time network television special "The Mentalist" which started airing to 6.2 million viewers in the United States on May 12, 2004."The audience interaction is what a show like this is about and Gerry not only does a great job but the venue itself is small enough to make it work for nearly every seat."
"My boyfriend decided to surprise me with tickets to see Jeff Dunham during 4th of July weekend. I didn't really know what I was getting myself into at first but I was looking forward to it cause who doesn't like a night filled with laughter? Plus, it was our first time in Vegas so we were even more excited to start our weekend off with a show at Caesar's Palace. We absolutely loved it!! I don't recommend that you bring children and if you're one that gets offended easily... this might not be the kind of comedy show for you. But in my opinion, I found him entertaining and talented. If I ever get the chance to see another one of his shows, I would not hesitate in getting the tickets."
"The Nevada Conservatory Theatre at UNLV is an excellent place for those who enjoy live theatre, great performances, and a venue away from the Strip and the hubbub there. I have been a season ticket holder for 3 years getting ready for the 4th year in September. Sure there were some plays that weren't as enjoyable as others. But, most have been top notch, showcasing the talent in the fine arts programs at UNLV.The new season brings the plays Fool For Love, Count Dracula, The Fantasticks, Summers of Fear, and Noises Off. In addition, there are three Black Box productions The Hot L Baltimore, Spring's Awakening, and Trojan Women. These will be in the Judy Bayley Theatre.Go see one of these shows and perhaps get hooked. I know, I did!"
"I have been attending A Public Fit programs (plays, staged readings, and Outbursts) since I answered the Summons From the Tinker to Assemble on October 15, 2015. In that time, I have seen 28 of their productions and it has been a wonderful ride with the various casts. One thing first--A Public Fit is no longer at the address listed on this review page. The company lost its performing space there and have been at two different places since. The company now does several staged readings a year at the Clark County Library. The programs were so successful that the company moved from the library's small Jewel Box Theatre to the main theatre. For their staged shows, they have been using the Super Summer Studio Theatres. The thing that keeps me coming back is the fact that their works are not plays that have been performed in other theaters in Las Vegas. The company picks scripts that make you think and many times grab you with a white hot intensity, and they send you home often to do some further research.Under the leadership of Ann Marie Pareth and Joseph Kucan, one can always expect to come away from a production moved in some way. After each show, there is a brief intermission and then there is "The Buzz." During the Buzz, members of the cast answer questions and there's a give and take from the audience that stays for the Buzz and the cast and Joe. Questions are answered and sometimes new ones are generated! The area is richer for having this wonderful company continue in its 10th year. Support them. They deserve it!"
"If your ever in the Vegas Area. Please I highly recommend everyone to go see this show. This was definitely a show to see with some talented performers. I was told this is a family of entertainers who have performed many shows. I truly enjoyed this show and so glad we got a chance to see it. The sound was clear and easy to hear. Great costumes, wigs, energy, singing and dancing. Our table was right up in the front, so we had a good view. I like how they engaged along with the audience. Great selections of some good ole back in the day music. It made me reminisce about the good times, when we had fun and didn't have to worry about the things going on in this world today. We also received dinner with our tickets. My only complaint was the food and the process of signing in to be seated. Hopefully, they will work on a better set up for ticket holders to be signed in and seated for the show."
"As locals, we were looking for something family friendly over the weekend and stumbled upon the House of Magic and decided to give it a try! I really enjoyed the show with my husband and daughter. It was not packed and was a more of an intimate setting that evening. MICHAEL DESCHALIT was entertaining and funny! I liked that he involved the audience as well during the show. There are food and beverage options there as well if you wanted to have dinner while enjoying the show. You are seated at tables and there is a waitress/server that comes around. The show was located inside the Delirious Showroom inside of Hennessey's Tavern. So just be aware of that when you are walking in with kids. If you are concerned with walking around Fremont in the evening with children, we parked at the Fremont Street Experience Parking Garage and took the elevator down and Hennessey's Tavern is close by so you do not have to walk far from there."
"This place I was referred to through a friend in the community, whom knows the performer. He is really amazing. In this lecture it was all on the importance of cats throughout history and on the high seas. He was very animated and knowledgeable on the subject talking and lecturing for about an hour. With a slide show presentation, lights, and audio. One of the tidbits of information that I learned about cats is Sam the cat was decorated by the British government and died on board the ship he loved for being quarantined as an immigrant died of a broken heart in a cage. But his sailing comrades made sure he had a funeral with a Union Jack and a wonderful funeral, and that no one forgets about cats at sea. It was very informative. This business wants to continue this lecture and others like it in the future for the community to be informed and knowledgeable about events. The lecturer for this topic was Paul Koudounaris, whom travels all over his main topic for lectures us mummies and grave burials all over the world."
"My wife previously saw Dita Von Teese at the Jubilee Theater at The Horseshoe (previously Bally's) and she loved it so much we decided to check it out here together at the Voltaire located in the Venetian. This show is the absoulutely the best show we have seen in Las Vegas! Wow, what an amazing show, top notch, and a must see if you visit Las Vegas!! T his show as it all, it is classy, intriguing, entertaining and truely amazing. Dita Von Teese herself is simply beautiful, sophiticated, classy, aluring and captivating. The other male and female performers in this show also wonderful and exhibit the same qualities. The costumes, music, dance, choreography, and props used throught out the show were extraordinary and stunning. We were seated along the runway about 1/4 from the mainstage and had a wonderful view of the entire show since the performances and acts utilize the entire mainstage and runway. Some of our favorites were of course the pink mechanical bull and champagne glass performances (but we have to say all performances and acts were wonderful). We definately want to see Dita Von Teese again and perhaps get seats a little further back more in the center of the venue just to get a better overall view of the show. My wife also noted that there were some additional performances and acts added since the last one she had seen recently at the Jubilee Theater. This review is for the show itself and not the venue, I will review the Voltaire itself seperately. Right now Dita Von Teese is only scheduled select Thur thru Sun nights at 9pm until mid-Dec and hopefully they will add more shows in 2025 (no photos or video are allowed during show itself which is understandable)."
"What a hidden gem this magic theater is! We took our daughter and son-in-law here during their visit and they loved it as much as we did. The theater is small and very quaint and nice which allows the magician to be very intimate with the audience. I am convinced it you can perform magic in this type of setting, you have to be good and one of the best. The magic and illusions are simply amazing and astonishing. Anyone of any ages will be left puzzled and wondering "how did he do that?". If you are going to see a magic show in Las Vegas, I would put this one at the top of your list. We will definately return to this theater!"
"Backstreet Boys in Las Vegas is such nostalgia. I was brought back to the 90s and I loved it. To make the most of my Las Vegas visit it is best to stay in PH that way you can walk right down to Zappos. There is concert merchandise sold as soon as you enter. There are seating sections are easy to read throughout the venue. Before getting to your seats there are bars on either side of the venue. Don't forget to purchase a drink to get the #BSBVEGAS cup. After purchasing a drink you can find your seats inside the venue. As you await for the show to start take as many pictures as you can as quickly as you can before the grumpy security people tell you to sit in your seats. It was a little irritating because you want to be able to capture memories that you paid a lot for and the security (ahem..old grumpy people) will tell you that you're not able to. Let me make memories!!! Once the show is on you are on your feet singing and dancing throughout the show. They preform all of the old hits we have come to love and a few of their newer songs. The Boys may come out into the audience for a song too. Before you know it, the show is over and you will continue to be on your high."
"Wow, what a great, fun, and entertaining show! We had see this show last about a year ago, and we think it got even better. We love the selection of song performed to include Tina Turner, Cher, Donna Summers, Gloria Gaynor, Linda Ronstadt and Pat Benatar. These performers were awesome and can really sing! The backup singers and dancers were also great. And you got to just love the stage production and costumes. I even got pulled up on stage for one song, which I usually don't want to do, but I figured what the heck since I was having so much fun (nothing better than several beautiful women dancing and singing around you - my comment was that I must of died and went to heaven). We also love the Pegasus showroom at the Alexis. This venue is quaint, sound and lights great, staff is helpful and friendly, and parking free. The best thing was that the entire cast did a meet and greet photo opportunity at the end of the show. Thank you for a wondeful evening of entertainment and the once in a life time stage experience!"
"Nice Indoor Park In the Sam's Town Hotel [Las Vegas NV]While I did not experience the laser and light show the indoor park was still nice to visit in the daytime. I went for a visit on a Sunday afternoon. The park was pretty with a gazebo in the courtyard, a recreation of a wooded area with lush greenery, animatronic wildlife, and a gushing waterfall. It is free to walk inside, relax, and enjoy a peaceful setting. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy selfies and take a photo.Looking forward to returning and watching the laser and light show, maybe during winter when the park comes alive with its lighted trees and snow-covered lampstands and all the wintery stuff during the holiday season.Sam's Town is in East Las Vegas... probably a good 20 mins from The Strip. Plenty of parking.Review #3530"
"This show is a jukebox musical of 19 songs strung together with lots of talk by the 4 characters who portray the women who have been ditched, dumped, divorced, and are dating. The show starts out at a speed dating venue and the 4 characters lay some groundwork for the show ahead. The good part of this show is the singing. All four women do a great job and they do a credible job signing the songs that we know that were done by someone else. My favorite number was "It's My Turn" sung by the characters DeeDee and Kate near the end of the show. This would be referred to as the 11 o'clock number if it was a Broadway show. These two really belt it out!!In between the songs, I tended to wander mentally. There's a lot of talking. Much of this is more pertinent and understandable by the women in the audience. "I peed a little" brought many women to huge laughs and hearty applause while gaining a smile from me. The scene about painting the soles of the shoes red went so far over my head I thought the roof would have been blown away. I simply didn't get it but the women did. From a staging standpoint, they use the small Shimmer Cabaret very well! There are scenes projected on two screens at different times to represent two different apartments of the women in the show. That way, one or two pieces of furniture with the background projection can suffice for an apartment living room. The lighting is well done and the sound levels were good. Periodically there's a bit of a minor problem with the singer not being exactly on with the prerecorded music used but that was minor.I think if I were to recommend improvements in the show, I'd cut a number or two from the music and try to develop the characters a bit more without having them just be 4 women who throw out one liners. Unfortunately, there's a digital clock hung from the ceiling and I could see it very well from where I was sitting and I tended to look at it too many times during the talking phases. And a 14 year drought? That's a long time my dear! You need to get out more often and that section is ground into the floor."
"I attended the 6-week "Yes, and..." course and had a blast! It was incredibly fun and I looked forward to Saturdays so that I could see the rest of the troupe. Ryan and Natalie were amazing instructors, and I loved their energy and dedication to seeing all of the troupe succeed, even the folks who were more quiet or shy.I'd absolutely recommend it anybody looking to build confidence, have fun, and try something new!"
