Like are we waiting 10 minutes for a hand roll?? I think it was bc the kitchen was understaffed and overwhelmed with the early dinner service timing. My bf and I and other parties came in at different times, but all within 30ish minutes for dinner. I guess we all ordered the same set menu so eventually they synced all of our parties so that we'd get our next dish at the same time. So I noticed my bf and I had to wait to be served the next dish once the other multiple parties around us also had their dishes prepared in total. Lowkey doesn't even make sense and it was annoying. Overall would still highly recommend! I'd def wanna come back."

"I came here because of the unique and tasty looking food in the photos, and I was not disappointed. Although they no longer have the sushi cake on the menu (R.I.P) which is the reason I was drawn to this place, they do have some very delightful dishes. We tried the Miso Chilean Sea Bass (8/10) Hamachi Serrano Yuzu (9/10), Sake Pop Rocks (9/10) Spider Roll (8/10) Surf & Turf (4/10) Shishito Peppers (7/10) Brussels Sprouts (7/10) and the High Roller Roll (10/10). I was blown away by this experience both positively and negatively. Impressive: All the sushi was phenomenal. To be fair, we didn't try any plain sashimi which is the true test on fish quality, but I applaud the chefs for choosing citrus as the most prominent pairing for the dishes. It's the only way to take a roll and make it taste fresh, even if it might not be. I can't speak to the freshness but I can speak to the flavor profiles of everything we ate, and for a picky fish person I was impressed with everything on the sushi side of the meal. I love the boldness of using pop rocks for a unique mouth feel and the High Roller roll really felt like something unique and spectacular was happening in my mouth. I am going to drag people here to experience these amazing items. The manager, Justin, made us feel very welcome. He was our server for the evening and we felt like royalty. Our friend's soda glass was never empty without asking (this guy goes through 4-6 glasses a meal) and Justin brought us the shishito peppers as a peace offering for a couple of items taking extra time in the kitchen. He also brought out the Sake Pop Rocks at no charge, because he could tell we were a sharing/tasting crowd. All around wonderful stuff here.The unimpressive: The surf and turf was so disappointing. It was nice that they offer a flat rate for the lobster rather than saying "MP" on the menu but we can't explain how chewy underwhelming Rib Eye and a Creamy lobster tail that inconsistently tasted somewhere between delicious lobster, creamed butter, nothing, and bitter seaweed (depending on the bite you took) came out to $75. I was truly shocked by this because SoHo is a Land & Sea location. They've got a grill for yakitori and stellar sushi. I figured this Surf & Turf for $75 was going to blow our minds. I'm going to take some blame here. We ordered the steak Rare, and it can be a challenge for a kitchen to make a perfect rare Ribeye that gets the crust and fat hot enough to melt in your mouth while simultaneously keeping the center red and tender. But I truly believed this place could do it for all the other options they have on the menu. Ambiance: The lighting is cool. Pretty goth style chandelier candelabras. The tables and decor are simple. I love how the left side of the door is like a cute dark date spot and the right side is more brightly lit and you can look into the kitchen and see the masters at work. I'll definitely be returning because there was so much to enjoy and I need to grab pictures for my review update! but I won't be grabbing the Steak & Lobster next time."

"Tried the number 10 which is a combo of two items between the options 1-9. Each entree comes with white rice, pickled cabbage, and a salad. I tried the crispy chicken (comes in a ball, similar to a meatball but with chunks of chicken thighs was a little saltier than I preferred) and the Thai chicken (small strips of chicken thigh with sauce). Each entree is served in a bento box, portion size is nice and it was very filling. Service was fast and patient while scanning the menu, ambiance was nice great playlist playing in background, typical hole in the wall (in a good way) establishment. When I return I'll try the chicken Katsu for sure!"

"We moved so we decided to start looking for a 'neighborhood' sushi spot and we found one!!!! It's not AYCE which is exactly what I love and it's hands down the best sushi I have had. We have been here a few times and it doesn't seem busy which is insane. The fish tastes so fresh and the quality is exceptional. Their presentation is also gorgeous. The truffle yellowtail had enough taste of truffle that it mixed well. The garlic tuna was great and the nigiri rolls did not disappoint. It's tough to find good sushi spots away from Chinatown so this was a great find."

"At first glance, this place looks like an ordinary sandwich (Sando) place with a long counter where one can order, and also have outdoor seating. The sandos are incredibly tasty and so big they have to be cut in half and served on two plates! We ordered the combination sando which consists of wagyu beef, egg salad and spicy chicken katsu with their secret sauce and shokupan bread. So delicious! Because the tables were full, we asked to eat at the back room. And oh goodness! We were transported to a dining area set up for fine dining, complete with fine china and wineglasses, dim lights, soft music, and video of beautiful scenes in Japan. The ceiling is covered with cherry blossoms highlighted by fairy lights. This room is slated for their social hour during which they have an entirely different menu to celebrate the occasion. We were told they even have karaoke (of course!).This is an incredible place to chill, eat good food and patronize local businesses. Highly recommended."

I ordered regular water as my drink and I also ordered a cup of hot water with lemon because I had a scratchy throat. There was a four dollar charge on my bill for the hot water. I don't understand, why cold water is free but hot water has a charge. The sushi rolls were nothing special. The lobster roll had toppings on it that were not listed on the menu, so I paid $25 for a roll that I did not eat. However, I did enjoy the brisket fried rice. It was delicious. Small restaurant and no way to make a reservation online. I tried calling but I couldn't speak to an actual person. Normally, I would give less than three stars based on my experience and wasting almost $30 (hot water and inaccurate menu description for sushi) but the rice was really good!"

We were given one of their tables that's a little separated from the main dining area which was great to allow us all to catch up and enjoy each other's company. Our server was the same person who sat us so they took our order for drinks right away. Three of us decided to do the all you can eat option and two others decided on a la carte options. The food came fast and was fresh. I really like that on their ayce menu there were options other than sushi such as sizzling skirt steak and yakatori. The sizzling platter was served hot and the flavors were very good. The meat was tender and bite sized. The sushi options are plentiful. We got quite a few different rolls and nigiri. I really liked the seared Cajun tuna. It had a great spice to it. The whole lunch was just a really fun experience. The food was good the service was spot on and the company was great. This is a great place to get your sushi fix."

I have been to the larger market down on Rainbow, and while this location doesn't have quite as many groceries, it has a lot of grab-&-go food at a reasonable price.I picked up a gyudon bowl, a bag of honey butter chips, and a refrigerated latte, all out the door for $16. Not super cheap, but totally reasonable for a meal. They also have katsu sandwiches, sushi, and a small selection of frozen goods, in addition to a wide assortment of chips and snacks.The cashier was really friendly, and this place was super clean and well organized. I will certainly be stopping by regularly, and look forward to seeing what else they have to offer."

For anyone expecting anything more, must be in the wrong restaurant....this is the only 1 dollar sign sushi in the area. So far we found that the cheapest sushi/nigri takeout has been with Sushi Zone (sushi ayce restaurant), when they aren't busy and offer 50%off special rolls and nigiri. Overall, this place offers variety, combos and balanced meals. This will most likely be one of our go to take outs now."

"As I continue to try the restaurants in the Eat Your Heart Out food court at Durango Station, I came for an early dinner to Yu-Or-Mi Sushi. For sushi, I'd normally go to one of the local places with which I am familiar. After looking at the menu, I decided to try something different.For a starter, I ordered the mushroom miso soup. The mushrooms were served on the side so I could add as much as I wanted while eating the soup. For the main course, I had to try the uni crab pasta. The menu lists it this way--uni cream sauce, blue crab, garlic, and udon noodles.The miso was one of the best day I've had. Lots of flavor and the mushrooms added to it. The uni crab pasta was very good, also. I would have liked more than one piece of uni but I know the cost of uni. There was a fair amount of crab. The creamy uni pasta was perfectly cooked. I finished with a piece of yuzu cheesecake. Light and airy, it was a good finish.Euel was my server and he was on top of things. I need to point out that the restaurant was empty at this time but I had the feeling he would have given the same good service if they were busy."

The waitress provided waters and took our order.We went with Shrimp Tempura, Spicy Tuna Tartare, Salmon Poke, Kurobata Sausage, Salmon Carpaccio, Spicy Edamame, Nori Lover Sets, Dynamite Handroll, Salmon Kama, Chicken Teriyaki Donburri, Miso Soup, and a Blue Crab California Roll. All the items were very fresh, well prepared, and tasty. It is a bit strange, they leave the plastic wrap on the seaweed in their hand rolls. You need to remove it before eating.The service was excellent, the waitress was prompt and effective. I only wish that they had a liquor license, a sake would have been nice. Overall, and excellent place for Japanese fare."

These people know how to make an excellent juicy burger. Fries: 3/5 The fries were delicious, hot, and crispy but I didn't get any amazing WOW factor from them and the seasoning on the fries was "Ok" Price: 5/5 Eating out is expensive, but this place is pretty affordable for the outstanding quality and portions you get.
