"4 stars to Mario and this new location!! The other was so cramped it was nice to have some room! 5 stars for variety, he had so many things you can't find on this side of the country, things I only see visiting family back east and in the south. Nice variety of produce, sauces, literally a one stop shop. There are a limited amount of Organics but I know that's not why people are shopping here. We got fish cooked at the old location, but did more of a tour here. I will say that some things are kind of high, we're label readers now and love pork cracklins, found some that we were ok with, had two bags in hand and a $5 (they weren't marked) but they were $3.89/bag! We just got one lol. UPDATE: Went to try said cracklins and they expired today!! Because of this I had to make it 4 stars. But I consider this a specialty type store and sometimes you pay more in those places. Takes nothing away from the establishment. Our cashier was cute, I complimented her Vans matching her Mario's shirt and she was telling me her fashion philosophy. I love the greens growing in the doorway, and the selection of black/local mags. They had a markdown table as well. If you're in the area, stop by!!"
"Amazing homemade Indian food. We've come here twice so far and it was delicious each time. Everything tastes homemade. I love that you can get a full meal with different items (thali) instead of having to buy massive entrees of it. You get to pick two entrees and a daal and it comes with 2 chapati (roti), rice, and spicy pickled chilis. They have lots of chaat (snack) items as well, and amazing huge samosas. We will be back to try all their other menu items!"
"Shout out to Vegas DSA for putting me on to another Palestinian business!I brought my grandma this time because we needed some toum and I'd rather buy it from an actual family-owned place rather than Trader Joe's or Whole Foods. We looked around the marketplace first. On a Monday afternoon, they were mostly restocking everything so the aisles were a bit cramped with boxes and ladders. There were so many goodies and it was hard not to fill up an entire cart. We settled on some tea cookies and shawarma seasoning. The market has fresh veggies, dairy, pantry goods, hookah, and beautiful tea sets. Truly everything you could want.We also visited the restaurant side to buy fresh toum. As they were filling the container, the chef realized they were just short of filling the container. I honestly wouldn't have noticed and would have been happy with the amount in the container. The man insisted I pick something for free to make up for it and gave me 3 dolmas. I could not believe the generosity! The dolmas were delicious! Full of shredded beef and very flavorful. We'll definitely come back to have dinner."
"Sandwiches are all $6.99 (even though the menu says $4.99). The price revamp means that their sandwiches are now bigger than before also. Carry Boars Head products in addition to several more specialized brands (names sound like they specialize in European deli meats. Deli is in the back of the store, store sells pantry groceries, has a small Eastern European cheese section, and also deals lots of odds and ends. Pipes, hookahs, incense, piercing jewelry, decorative knives (maybe they're not just decorative?) , regional coffee (I bought a strong Turkish blend), and chocolates among other stuff !"
"The service here is baaaad. Especially the Armenian lady at the register. Terrible attitude. Definitely not coming back here again. I'd rather drive further to another European market than support this god awful establishment."
"Run-down market, interior looks more like a convenience store slash bodega than a grocery, but they have all manner of cooking supplies here, including fresh produce, a great meat counter, fresh juices, more Mexican candies than you can shake a stick at, and a surprisingly extensive cosmetics section.Get the carne asada and grill at home, the chicken and beef fajitas plus some extra peppers and onions, chicken adobo legs are enormous (1/3 pound each, easily), fish ceviche is like $2/lb- can't beat that!Might want to take cash to shop here- my card wouldn't swipe at the register, my guy had to pay. Heads up, the Pollo Mobile truck is usually in the parking lot, grab groceries for later but grab dinner hot and ready from them.Side note: Yelp check in offers a dollar off rotisserie chicken, but I didn't even see any?"

This place comes highly recommended if you love fish fry. This place is located on the southeast corner of MLK and Lake Mead. You know a place is good when there's a long line and they have that line stanchioned off. The line went by quickly. We ordered 2 pounds of fried fish for four people. It was perfectly breaded and full of flavor. No need for hot sauce or tartar sauce, unless you love sauce.. it was perfect the way it is. I had their bread pudding, and it was just okay. I was disappointed that they ran out of banana pudding. Overall, we came for the fish fry, and I'd like to come back to pick some up again and try other things.

My mom loves their cardamom seeds from here so this is the only place we come to. She lives 2000+ miles away and she always asks for their seeds and we drive 25mins just for this to send it to her.

Being in a medium-large sized city in the States means we have considerable access to rad markets that specialize in regional foods from across the world. How cool, right? I always try to check out these markets to see if I can grab some foods/drinks that I haven't been exposed to.Upon walking into this market, I was surprised to see how large it was. High ceilings were decorated with flags from numerous countries. I had the sense that it was family run; a humorous young lady ran the registers while her mother sweetly joked with her. I loved this play-full atmosphere. The market had lots of European candies, dried and jared foods, and a deli in the back. I wasn't in the position to purchase perishable foods, and have been trying not to eat anything too preserved. Therefore, I head to the alcohol section (I mean, where else, right?)I love checking out all the different lagers and Heffenwieser beers. I also grabbed a bottle of red wine. The beers were tasty as to be expected. It is kinda hard to mess up a simple beer, but I love to simply try new things. I was worried if the wine would be spoiled; however, at about $15 for a bottle, the wine I had was lovely. Another review said they have sandwhiches? Didn't see that, but I will look out next time.

The girl at the register has a really bad attitude. I usually get hummus and Tabouli. That's all. She was mad at me because I paid cash and she didn't have enough change to give me. Seriously giving me attitude for not having enough change. As a business you should have enough change. I'll give this place more stars when the cashier has a better attitude.

La Islena has saved me and the hubby many times when last minute guests show up and we need to wow them with a meal...tacos for the save! And La Islena's well-flavored carne asada preparada for the win. We love dropping in to pick up a few pounds or carne asada along with their chips, amazing fresh salsas and some rice and beans. The easiest ever! They also have many produce options which saves us from an extra trip to another market. Anytime we have served our guests meals made from La Islena's preparedIngredients, we have received rave reviews. In fact, guests often request a taco day at the house when they return for another visit. I think that says a lot when we live in Vegas and there are so many options for great restaurants and eateries.

This is the convenience store attached to the laundromat that's close to the Palms / Gold Coast. It's where you go to get quarters for the laundry since they don't have machines in there. Otherwise it's just a standard convenience store but at the back they have $2.50 pizza slices that are actually large and pretty good. Plenty of other hawt stuff back there too, some basic hot dogs for $1, Jimmy Dean style breakfast sandwiches and cinnamon rolls for 1.50, etc.

I really like this place. We moved to The Lakes last Summer and every since this has been our go-to spot almost daily for drinks, snacks, gas, and whatever else. They have an awesome selection of food- it's much more like a small grocery store than just a convenience store. There's even a nice selection of prepared food like sandwiches, salads, and pastas, although I would love it if they had some sushi rolls. There's also an awesome beer, wine, and even liquor selection. All the cashiers are super friendly here too. The only thing is sometimes the line to check out takes a while so that can be a pain. But I definitely love this store and come here very regularly.

"It's walking distance from the Palms casino I wouldn't suggest walking because it's on a bad neighborhood. There's laundry mat connected and a walkway between them. It's an old store and pretty run down they also have slot machines. The big surprise is they have excellent pizza. A slice is $2.50 and is really good I'm was really shocked but I stop in on my way past for a slice."
"Vegas used to be a 24-hr town and now all the supermarkets in the area close by 10 or 11. Thankfully, Herbst Market stays open 24 hours. This is like a hybrid of a mini-grocery store and a gas station convenience store. You might not find all the items you want but they definitely have a larger selection than a gas station. Unfortunately, customer service is similar to that of a gas station as well."
"I FINALLY stopped into this place and was pleasantly surprised. This place is bustling and for good reason. It's not a one stop place for everything you might need, but there are a lot of strengths I discovered upon my first visit. First off the staff is very friendly, giving the place a good vibe. I made it back to the meat counter and Humberto the butcher was helpful, without being pushy. The day I was there NY Strip Steaks were on sale for 3.99 a lb. beautifully trimmed, marbled and about 2" thick. All of the sausages are house made. I asked Humberto if he has any chorizo ( I know that's sausage in Spanish-but I was hoping for something with a little more of a Mexican flair). His face lit up and he told me he has the best chorizo I have ever tasted and asked if I would like a sample. Of course I said yes. He whacks off a chunk, takes it to the kitchen at the end of the meat counter, and a few minutes later proudly offers me a generous, fresh hot sample of his creation. It was spectacular. He told me he makes it with fresh ground chicken, and FRESH jalapeno, green and red bell pepper, mint, parsley, celery, and cilantro. Yeah...all ingredients are fresh, not dried or frozen, and $2.49 a pound. It was spectacular. Full of multi layered flavor, not spicy hot, but absolutely delicious...I'm not afraid of hot BTW...He pointed out that NY Strip Steaks were $3.99 a pound that week so I left with some fantastic chicken sausage and steaks. He made mention of the kitchen (separately run) and I told him I noticed they serve birria. He says, "would you like a sample?", of course I said yes, and it was good, a little tame on the spicy hot, but I know that can be taken care of no problem. For the size of the market, the produce section looked solid (fresh, clean, nothing wilty or rotting on the shelves), and they had a solid tequila selection as well. I also noticed baked whole chickens for $4.99 each, a decent selection of Mexican baked goods, the typical staples you would expect from any market, and an "A" grade from the health department. All in all, this place is very much a neighborhood spot that is worth a visit. Don't judge this book by it's cover :-)"
"Good place to get good cheap produce fruits and veggies, this location is much smaller then the other locations around town so there is a smaller selection but they have the basics and some non basic stuff like fresh tumric that I buy, for better prices then most other places around town. You can also get good prices on meats sometimes, I mostly only get seafood, or chicken. But mostly fruits and veggies. This trip prices where .79 lb broccoli, 79. Cents per bunch spinach, 8.99 lb tumric, 2$ lb oranges, 1$ per large avocado, 1$ per 2lb carrots, 79 cents per lb loose beets. 6.99 lb salmon, 15$ lb crab legs... I didn't get those that's kinda high in my opinion, 4 bunch cilantro for 1$ honey dew melon 4lbs 1$."
"My new favorite grocery store in Las Vegas. Ceviche all day...shrimp, fish, shrimp and mango. The meat counter has an amazing selection of fish, poultry, pork and beef. They have whole octopus and scallops. The fresh tortillas, guacamole and salsa as well as a fresh juice bar and a counter with burritos and tacos. I thought that the produce department was really good, lots of peppers and fresh fruit you can't find at other spots. Aside from other major brand names they have so many great personalized products to shop."
"When the Green Valley at Warm Springs Food 4 Less recently closed, this immediate area of Green Valley had turned into a death valley for food shopping. This has affected residents including yours truly. The consequence of the closure is that when I am in my area, I will more frequently shop in Trader Joe's with Green Valley Grocery a few stores away to pick up a beer for home. Green Valley Grocery is convenience with an inconvenience. Parking close to Green Valley Grocery will most likely be a frustrating experience during peak times. The shopping center has a flaw where there is one exit to southbound Green Valley Parkway that a traffic signal controls. This causes a cue of cars to back up to the traffic signal consequently causing a long delay in backing out of the parking space. To avoid this frustration I always park further away by Bank of America. Inside, the convenience store upbeat employees serve customers in a slightly dingy looking convenience store. The interior falls short of the bright and upbeat appearance of a standard 7-Eleven. However, the employees that have rung up my purchase have been personable. For example, when I brought an after work beer last week, the dude was joking with me about the beer hitting the spot after work. And yesterday when I brought a fountain beverage after Mothership, the woman was joking about the scent of my sunscreen reminding her of how much she loves the scent of coconut. On account of the fact that the immediate area of Green Valley at Warm Springs has developed into a foodshopping desert and that I am a fan of Trader Joe's, I will return to Green Valley Grocery. Hopefully in the near future they will be opening a new four star supermarket in the Food 4 Less spot that I could be reporting on."
"This corner convenience store is a "Green Valley Grocery" is part of a Shell gas station. They have gas, drinks, snacks, and of course gambling! Their selection is pretty good, and their prices are average. The employees, of course, never smile, but I've never encountered someone being rude at all. The inside had a semi "smoke" smell, but otherwise, it's always clean. For the most part, this little spot is perfect for a quick stop for snacks or whatever convenience items you need to grab!"
