"Breakfast and service was superb! They asked if I wanted house made preserves for my toast and brought out 4 different ramekins of homemade deliciousness to try (strawberry was my favorite). You all have to try this place. Seriously."
"Southwest Diner is located on the corner of Fifth and Nevada Hwy. it is easy to locate and access. Limited street parking is available as well as a small private lot behind the establishment. There is patio dining available where pets are welcome. Inside has two different decors; the original side is quaint with a small town kind of feel, whereas the new (remodeled?) side is more modern and streamlined. Servers greeted us warmly upon arrival. While our party was dining, I noticed that the waitstaff greeted a handful of regulars by name. Clearly, Southwest Diner is loved by the locals!!We had a rather large party of adults and a handful of small children, but Marisol took care of us with a smile and with efficiency. The food was served in generous portions and was prepared with love and care. It's typical diner fare, nothing that we ordered was gourmet, but it was definitely familiar, hearty, comfort food. The quality and portions of the food AND the friendliness and efficiency of the servers will have me stopping by again next time I'm in town."

"Food is amazing!!!!! First time great experience service was great she had all clean big smile she recommended a dish let me tell you!!!!!! She has set the hook im hooked!!!!Las vegas do not sleep on this place !!!!!Keep up the great work !!! Ill be back every chance....."
"Service was great and the location couldn't be beat as it was right across from our hotel. We were seated right away. The interior is outdated and the seats are worn and ripped. We were there for the food so we didn't let that ruin our experience. The salad came out and then the meal came out shortly after we finished with the salad. My meal was edible and filling but left me disappointed as it was lukewarm. It was edible and filling but not pleasing. The prices were reasonable."
"The birria here is very good and authentic. I like that it is not spicy. If you want spice, you can add as much as you like to your taste. The birria soup was delish! And they give you a good portion. The consemul is so flavorful. The quesitacos are also delicious. They have Mexican cokes! The aguas are soooo good and made fresh. Definitely coming back!"
"My friend & I came in here on 02/09/2024 to meet our married friends. We were hungry & wanted a couple of drinks. It didn't take long to get seated. It wasn't very busy for a Friday night, we arrived probably around 9pm or so. Our waitress, Christi started out great but then went down hill. She wasn't completely knowledgable about some of the items on the menu & had to go find out, she was nice & friendly though. We sat @ a high top table. Chairs weren't all that comfy. I had ordered Truly to drink & Christi didn't know what flavors they had so I gave her a couple of choices that I would drink when she had to go & find out what they had. My friend got a Mango Cart beer & I tasted it and it was very tasty. I don't drink beer much these days. I got the chicken fingers that were tasty & replaced the fries with onion rings for an extra $1.00 substitution charge. They weren't good @ all. They didn't taste homemade & just were blah. I started off with a cup of chili that was good but the best part was their cornbread patties. OMG to die for!! I had asked Christi if I could order some to go & she had to go and ask someone this. Luckily I was able to and two come in one order so I got two orders that cost me $4.00 total for 4 pieces. We sat for a long time with our dirty plates in front of us after we were done eating. I actually put some of our dirty dishes on the clean table next to us, which I hated to do but I was sick of them being in front of me & in my way. This is were the service went down hill. Like I mentioned Christi started off great, we hadn't waited long for her to come greet us but after we got out food it was like she went home or something? And of course the longer we were here the less busy it was, so its not like there was a bunch of customers in here that she may have been waiting on a table(s) not in view of us. We had no idea what happened to her. Then when we wanted to get our bills we had to wait even longer for them. We were a little bummed how the service started out so great but then went to poop. This won't prevent me from coming back to give this place another try especially so I can get some more cornbread....yum!! The ladies bathroom was freezing cold when my friend & I went to use it. OMG it was like they had the AC on high blast in there and the night we were there it had been raining outside so it wasn't like it was a hot night. I did notice a pool table near us that some people were playing pool @. Not sure what other games they had up in that separate area?"
"What a lovely, old school diner, with comfort foods from childhood, and décor to match. We stepped into Winnie & Ethel's at my guy's suggestion and I'm really happy we did! Let's start with the host, Quinn, who couldn't have been more friendly, pleasant and informative. Quinn was a breath of fresh of fresh air from the moment we walked in.Once seated, we were greeted by Autumn, who explained the comfort food concept, gave us our menus and made some recommendations. I started with a Cherry Drip Iced Coffee of sorts- I don't remember the exact name, but it was very interesting, almost like a black forest cake but not nearly as sweet. For food, my guy ordered French Onion soup, which I ate a good portion of, the broth was so flavorful and absolutely delicious!!!!!Next....there was a bit of a delay in getting our food, however it didn't ruin our experience and Autumn made up for it, which was not expected but definitely appreciated. As we're waiting for a our food, I'm looking around and just admiring the way they put the restaurant together- it reminded me of my grandma's house, with the color scheme, floral wall paper, the Tchotchke's; it was pretty cool. My corned beef hash eggs benedicts were great, his chicken fried steak was the best I've personally had- I don't typically like chicken fried steak but Winnie & Ethel's did it perfectly!!! We also ordered the cinnamon roll- we had to, the only make them on Saturday's...it was good, I don't know if I would order it again or opt for another sweet treat, I think it would have been better had it come out warm and the icing a little melted.I really enjoyed Winnie & Ethel's and look forward to trying all the things we wanted to, but had no room to :)"
"Excellent foods for real lots to choose from and really great prices ...Service is amazing !;)"
"For the price this restaurant isn't bad for a quick, light breakfast. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but would return if I was nearby again. Inside the Klondike Casino the restaurant was easy to find off of the main entrance. Appearing to be recently remodeled the restaurant was clean inside with a diner feel. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The food arrived at the table quickly. My meal of choice was the Deuces breakfast special which was only $2.99. The meal included two pancakes, two sausage links, two pieces of bacon, and two eggs. I added a side of hash browns for $1.99. Other than the sausage links I thought the food was decent. Again, this isn't an amazing meal, but it's good for the price."
"Review #29 of 2024Saturday June 29th visitArriving around 7 pm for a friend's birthday bash, we headed up to the second floor of the venue. The business was well-designed with an elevator for those with mobility challenges. The place was packed, especially since there was a televised fight happening that evening. Navigating through the crowd was a bit tricky, even with my cane. After exchanging greetings with my friends, I stepped outside and was met with an unnecessary comment from a girl warning me not to slam the door or face her wrath... I decided to close the sliding door with a bit more force anyway, and she didn't bother to say another word. When I returned, I was ignored by the server, so I turned to the bartender for a drink recommendation. I tried a few craft beers based on his suggestion and found them enjoyable. I'd definitely return for more. While they do offer a food menu, the bustling crowd made me hesitant to dine there as I prefer not to be jostled while eating. My recommendation: visit at your own risk, while the beers were on point, some of the patrons were not as friendly. I give people the respect I want in return, but this evening, a snotty girl tried my patience."

Again, i am home for the week and take out for breakfast/lunch. The eggs were perfect, fluffy and not runny. I always love the home fries and the sausage. The coffee was hot and all requested condiments were included. The turkey club and fries certainly hit the spot for lunch. Always a pleasure.

My family and I just stop by the southwest diner, after we went out to take pictures of the Hoover Dam earlier today. Also, I recently got the salmon salad with honey mustard, strawberry lemonade, and the side of the Texas toast bread. The pit stop is great for breakfast and lunch as well as all day long. Anyway, it's good to honor the police officers and firefighters who served in Las Vegas for a long time.

I'm not typically a huge bbq fan but, this will be put into my dining out rotation. Great atmosphere, the service was fast snd the servers friendly. The food was off the chart! I ordered the 3 meat sampler: brisket, wings and hot link with a mac n cheese side. -chefs kiss- I will definitely be back to try something new. They do have daily specials, happy hour AND a drive thru....always a plus. Check them out! You won't be disappointed!

Don't let this place derail your visit.Iron Rail Cafe is the 24/7 restaurant at Railroad Pass Casino in Henderson. We had just signed up for a player's card at the casino and received some comps to use, so we decided not to waste them. This was the easiest option as the steakhouse wasn't quite open yet (and was too pricey for our budget) and a possible other affiliated restaurant would have required a walk outside in the heat.I appreciated the host saying that the fine print of dine-in only could be worked around by just sitting down and getting a to-go box, but I didn't realize how long the wait would be. The server was incredibly slow to get to us for some reason, and it's not like the place was packed. The floorboards also had no vibration dampening and I kept feeling when he would walk by behind me. Not a pleasant experience overall.I did enjoy my choice of the side of fries included with my entree. They were lightly crispy and nicely soft inside, and they weren't overly salted. Give me a huge portion of these and I'm a happy camper. And yes, the comps did get applied, so I was pleased with that. But I had the Prime Rib Dip ($11.99) sandwich after getting home (with a stretch in the fridge and some reheating in the meantime), and it was not good. The bread had this stale, offputting flavor that reminded me of some awful fast food fries I had earlier this summer, so perhaps they used expired oil of some sort on it. The meat was actually tender and just fine on its own (as I discarded the bread halfway through), while the broth was nothing to write home about. If I'd been on a keto diet, perhaps I wouldn't have been so disappointed.Maybe they have some other foods worth trying, but it felt like I was blindly groping around and found the third rail. Iron Rail Cafe is a hard "Pass" from me.

I went in and was pleased to find my old friends Tavga and Nichole working! Nichole is an asset to every bar she's been at!I didn't eat, so I can't comment on the food, but each location has been pretty consistent. The decor was cool. It made me feel like I was in a cabin in the woods.I will definitely be back to see Nicole!

Saw this place through a TikTok video so we decided to come check it out! The vibes of the place were so cute and I loved that it gave a home-y feel. We ordered some steak and eggs, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy. Unfortunately we didn't like the food, it lacked flavor to us but the pancakes were delicious!

"I went into this experience not knowing what to expect, and was led there by my colleagues. The hosts and welcome team are amazing and thorough - which is certainly appreciated when you're hungry. The absolute darkness while walking in and eating was.... Amazing. Surprising i spoiled no food on myself, guessed most of the food, and really enjoyed it. The tables and chairs were comfortably and appropriately placed. The vibes were good, and I had a really good time. I even enjoyed a corona in the dark in addition to amazing food!"
"Walked in for the first time and it was nice! Got seated immediately.menu is very nice and great prices.flat screens playing sports and news.im happy here lol then the best part came and thats the corned beef cooked jus the way i like it! and the skillet potatoes with peppers and onions hit different i will be back here as a regular from now on! The waitress was a nice woman also and i appreciate her service"
"The food was AMAZING, everything was cooked to perfection. The meat was juicy, seasoned very well, very flavorful and savory. I grabbed their Alfredo pasta and I will say this very delicious one of my favorites! The restaurant overall was very beautiful you can tell it was very well designed and thought out! The lighting was well dimmed, the placement and spacing of every table is distanced very well to where you don't feel claustrophobic or uncomfortable. The only thing that I personally didn't like was the flooring was just slippery I had slipped almost two times while being in the restaurant. The service was great they were on top of everything, had great attitudes and you could tell they were happy to be there with their big smiles. They made sure our table was served with a sense of urgency and made sure we had everything we needed. I hope you enjoy the video I had attached down below ! Let me know what you think you can follow my food page @eatsbyjuuls"
"An all American diner starting with the display of US flags by the cashier as you enter.Seems like a good place for people in the neighborhood to meet or tourists like us passing through town.Food came out quickly, many refills for Doc's coffee. I enjoyed their French vanilla iced coffee.Loved the look of the pastrami sandwich on Rye with the dill pickle and onion rings so crispy and good."
"Visited Marilyn's one morning while the rest of my party was still sleeping.Ordered an orange juice and a Build Your Own Omelette with American cheese, green peppers, and bacon. The plate came with a choice of hash browns or grits and toasted bread. I chose hash brown and rye toast. The green peppers in the omelette were a bit chunkier than I would have liked but they were also very fresh. I thought they may have been sauteed some. I ended up taking most of them out. The omelette, as a whole, was tasty. I'm not sure what brand of salsa they use but it was not tasty. I opted out of salsa for hot sauce. The hash brown looked very similar to the omelette but browned. It was huge. I was only able to eat about a teaspoon of it since the omelette was so plentiful. The rye toast was delightful with a little strawberry jam and the orange juice was sweet and refreshing. The service staff was friendly and attentive but the food service was slow.On my second go-round, the food service was still slow but the food was tasty and the general service was good. This time I took the lesson from the portion sizes from my first visit and ordered a side order of scrambled egg, one turkey sausage patty, and an orange juice. I was able to enjoy a piece of the rye toast that came with my guest's plate."
"We always love it here but Angel at the front, our server Sherrie was attentive and so sweet, and even Doug the manager walked around to check on the diners. Thanks team for being so attentive to us this place never disappoints."
"We were surprised this place had really good pancakes! It costs around $26 but we were able to share them with the whole family! We got seated right away, but we did a lot of waiting to order, get our food, and pay. This was at a decent price because we shared the food! The servings were pretty big.The workers were friendly. The seats weren't the most comfortable, but we enjoyed our brunch."
"I've had a lot of pretzels and I can say that this place has the best pretzel in Vegas!! The atmosphere is great in here!! I always win and DAD always takes care of us definitely a hidden gem and the place to gamble/eat 12/10!!!"
"Damian! Another shout out to this guy for delivering great service. You don't even have to ask for refills or swivel your head if you need anything because he's right there delivering it and checking in on you. During my last review I neglected to give another big shout out and that goes to the staff behind the grills! THANK YOU for turning our orders around quickly, accurately, and making our food taste oh-so-delicious! See my original review for more details!"
"Gets better each time we go. Had won ton soup one day very well done. Breakfast was Lox and bagel very nice and fruit platter fabulous. Nice staff"
"If Boulder City ever considered having a sister city in the United States, I would nominate Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. Both cities pack a hefty punch in the small, historic towns category and effortlessly cater to the diverse tastes of history buffs, outdoor enthusiasts, foodies, antique & vintage shoppers, bikers, and a hodgepodge of other domestic & international tourists. I'll leave you with these two fun facts & my review of The World Famous Coffee Cup Cafe to illustrate my point:Fun Fact #1: The Boulder City Historic District--where this restaurant is located--is Nevada's largest listing on the National Register of Historic Places with 514 buildings.Fun Fact #2: Boulder City is one of two cities in the state of Nevada that bans gaming/casinos, and it's the only city in Southern Nevada with a growth ordinance to preserve its small town feel. The city is perched above Lake Mead and Hoover Dam (which created the town) and is a mecca for kayaking, biking, hiking, water sports, stargazing, exploring old mining ghost towns, etc. Restaurant Review: The World Famous Coffee Cup Cafe is one of the more popular restaurants in Boulder City, and it's solid as a rock. I stopped by for Sunday brunch this past weekend with my cousin and a friend, and there was roughly a 30-35 minute wait. No problem at all; that gave us some time to explore the locally owned businesses in the historic district and grab coffee from the coffee shop at the end of the block. Once we got back to the restaurant and were able to grab a table, everything went off without a hitch. First of all, we received satisfactory customer service. The food also lived up to the hype. Both of my dining companions ordered the Breakfast Tacos, and my cousin could not stop raving about how bomb and filling they were. While my friend's food critiques were a lot more demure, he also noted the tacos were pretty tasty. I ordered the 3 Egg White Omelette (86 the Swiss cheese) with cottage cheese and a cup of fruit on the side. I also ordered a side of extra crispy home fries for everyone at the table to share family-style. Everything came out just how I wanted, and I left the restaurant a happy camper. On a final note, the colorful and fun design aesthetic at The Coffee Cup is part of the overall experience, and it kept me thoroughly entertained during my dining experience. It was also a good conversation starter at our table as we discussed the abundance of surf boards and water skis at a restaurant in the Mojave Desert. Note: This restaurant has been featured on The Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Somehow, I forgot to grab a picture of Guy Fieri's poster on their wall while juggling different priorities during my group brunch."
"NORMans is a gem! We enjoyed our late breakfast very much. Cozy diner atmosphere with the nicest waitstaff. DH had a lovely steak and eggs while I enjoyed a crab Benedict. Modest crabby patty just the right amount of crab, perfectly poached eggs and light sauce. The photo shows one, I already demolished the other one by the time I thought to take a photo sorry. Loved their country potatoes- grilled not deep fried. Little one had the grilled cheese and fries kids meal and he practically inhaled it all. This is our new favorite breakfast place now. Thanks we will be back!!!!!"
"When you see a place with a near perfect 5 star review it definitely raises an eyebrow that needs to be investigated. Is it that good?!? To put it simply... YES!Walked into TMW & were instantly greeted & seated by the owner. The place has an alien abduction vibe & the menu follows the theme. The owner told us what they had ran out of for the day & then answered all of our questions about the dishes. I opted for the "Spicy Meat Candy" as an appetizer & presentation was perfectly awkward being served in a toilet. It was just the right amount of spicy & the corn was a nice touch lolFor the main course I went with the Fat Boy Flatbread Chopped Philly Steak & damn that thing was fantastic! We all took a look at each other, silently nodded in approval & said to each other "Yup, that's where all the 5 star reviews came from."Shoutout to the owner for the warm welcome & for being a good sport posing for a quick photo. Let my pictures tell the story why you grab your car keys & pick what you're going to order."
"Love this little restaurant! It is the only restaurant by the marina but I have to say they really are innovative and create awesome new menu items and different specials with each visit. One menu item that is a staple and amazing is their fish and chips (comes with home made chips!) and their taco salad is served in a giant fried flour tortilla bowl. They expanded their coffee menu and now have iced coffee. The service is amazing, they are very attentive and everyone is down to earth and provides excellent service. My mom, stepdad, 2 sisters, and I came over the weekend with all of my and my sisters kids and husbands and we had a full table of 14 every time we came for breakfast and dinner. I loved that they served the kids first- really keeps them preoccupied, haha. Anyways thanks again for your service and hopefully see you all again in October!"
"The food was great great service waitress was very friendly helpful and professional tables were very clean so was the restaurant bathrooms were very clean overall I have nothing bad to say about lumberjacks will recommend to friends and will be back."
"Good food, great service, and relaxing atmosphere. I spied the sign as we were on our way to a different restaurant. I turned around and came back, and so glad we did. It has only been open 3 days and I am sure that they will continue to be very popular. Almost every table had customers sitting down. When they had turn over they cleared the tables quickly so new customers were greeted with clean tables when they came in."
