I went here for a Sunday dinner and it was pretty packed. I am not sure if they even honor reservations as we made reservations but still had to wait 15 minutes to get seated, despite many open tables. I guess they make you wait so they create hype for the restaurant. This restaurant leans more Americanized Italian, with huge portion sizes and the typical spaghetti and pizza. We were only persuaded to go here as it is one of the few more affordable restaurants in the Venetian resort that we could use our Amex $100 credit on, and we were able to use it all by just ordering 1 prie fixe (appetizer+entree+dessert), 1 pizza, and 1 wine, so moderately priced but not cheap either. For prie fixe, we got grandma's meatballs, chicken parm, and cannoli. The prie fixe menu comes at portions much smaller than if you were to order a la carte, but it kind of makes sense because ordering it separately would cost a bit more. Portions are about 50% less for appetizer and dessert, but looks about similar portion for main entree. Grandma's meatballs were pretty solid, didn't taste anything special, but it was a good starter. Chicken parm was hearty and comes with a decent pile of spaghetti. Cannoli was a bit on the sweeter side and felt a little stale. We also got the Buddy's Favorite Pizza that was on the spicier side (I am glad they gave a heads up), and a bit oily. They skimped a bit on ingredients, something that I would not expect if the pizza is already $22. I would prefer more ingredients and less oil, as we tapped out eating just half the pizza out of it being too heavy.Service is fairly poor, something I would not expect for an American-like restaurant. Not once did they come by to refill our water, but they fulfill our glass of wine order quickly. Flagging the server, no luck. Overall, this is a decent restaurant, but it falls short to a typical dinner I am expecting to get for a place of this caliber.
