I made reservations for 4, and upon arrival they couldn't locate my name. Well, my friends had already checked in and had been seated. The waitress looked confused and basically ruined my husband's surprise. He thought it was just going to be us two, so when i had to say its for 4 he realized others were joining. When my friends checked in to when we checked in it was approximately 5 mins apart so unsure where the confusion was. This was Thursday, 1/9 between 715-730pm. Anyways, everything else was great! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Our waitress was nice. And the atmosphere was very "homey." I would go back.

I took my wife here for here birthday and to say I was disappointed is an understatement. When we arrived, I informed the person in the front that it was my wife's birthday and asked if they can do something for her. She said they would have a birthday sundae for her. The server was nice. But the service in general took too long. It wasn't busy. It was 3 pm on a Sunday. When our order arrived, the food was over cooked. The filet and shrimp combo, which we both ordered, was over cooked. It was WAY expensive for what we received. Then at the end of the dinner, the server asked if we wanted dessert and if not he' ll bring the check. What happened to birthday Sundae?. When I went to the front again to find the hostess, I was told she left for the day. The current hostess had no idea what was going on. But, she said she would tell our server. He did come out with the sundae. But I was surprised he wasn't informed in the beginning. Will I go back? No. It wasn't worth the money.

I went here on Sunday with my family. I was excited to show them the steakhouse that I had tried with my husband a couple months back. The first time we went it was great, the food was yummy. The waitress was attentive and we were overall happy. This time, unfortunately, we were not impressed. we were sat for about 10 minutes before somebody came over to greet us which we thought was odd. When our waitress came over, she took her drink order and then it took her probably another 10 minutes to bring us our bread. She seemed much more concerned about the larger party behind us, which I understand when you have a large party, you need to pay more attention to them, but it seems to be that they were overwhelmingly favored. My mom inquired about the steak tips in which we were told you cannot get them cooked to order, they would all be sent out as medium well or well which we thought was unfortunate. It seemed like they were just trying to upsell the filet mignon if you wanted to have it cooked, medium, or medium rare. When we finally got our food, my mom's fillet was much more tough than even a sirloin steak should have been. For $42, we should not have to ask to send back filet mignon. They did bring her a new filet, but it was overcooked compared to what she originally wanted.I would love to try this place again, but unfortunately, I don't know if I will since this time the food and service was not as it was the first time around.

Update We are starting to make this place a regular. The rack of lamb is actually a full rack, eight bones! Their steaks are always delicious. The filet and lobster is a very good deal, and delicious. The roasted vegetables on the side were very tasty, as well as the mushrooms. We always get very good service here. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy.

The thing about Bob Taylor's Ranch house, it's a ranch house. If you expect fancy food, this is the wrong place for you. If you're looking for Prime Rib as it's truly meant to be, a delicious cut of meat prepared like the old days, served up in a family friendly environment, this is that place. It's not the fancy Las Vegas restaurant where you pay exorbitant prices for a dressed up cut of meat. It's not fancy at all, it's a warm, out of the way family gathering place. The staff is warm and genuine, service is on time but not rushed. On Monday, the Prime Rib special is a fixed cost per ounce, sides are extra. I offered to pick up the tab for dinner, 1 steak, 3 prime ribs, a few sides and a couple kids meal. With tip it came to under $170. I felt like it was a great deal, almost too good. The food was excellent, the service was great. I even enjoyed the drive out to the edge of town. Also, they have a great kids Menu, the children report that the chicken tenders were better than other places.

We'd been wanting to try this place for a while. It looked like a good meal, standard casual steakhouse, nothing fancy but good food. I would say that overall it fit the bill. The service was slow. We watched several other tables be served before us despite having been seated before them. But once they took our order, things seemed to even out and service got better. My steak was decent. Tasted like a home-grilled steak. Not spectacular but it was good. My husband had the chicken and it was just OK. Not a lot of seasoning or flavor on it. He probably should have tried a steak instead. Overall, the meal was decent and I would dine here again, but it wouldn't be in our regular rotation.

This restaurant has been on our list to try for a while now and we finally decided to go today. Their Crab Stuffed Mushrooms was very good. My husband ordered their Rib Eye Steak and he said it was seasoned and prepared well. I ordered their Broiled Shrimp with Rice Pilaf and it was delicious. If you are looking for an old-fashioned casual steak house, this is it. The portions were plenty and the atmosphere straight from the 1950s. We were their first customers for the day and the service was good with a friendly and attentive staff which made our dining experience even better.
