As a young man growing up, it seems like people were always saying to me, good luck. They said America was a land of people who traveled from other countries. But no one seemed to know much about those people or those countries. They spoke about something called the American dream. But didn't say what it was really about. Perhaps because people say they don't remember their dreams. But when people talked about traveling. It was this place called Las Vegas. A place out west with glittery lights. A casino with a cowboy named Binnie horseshoe. And a dream about getting lucky. Years later I realized it was the same reasons those foreign travelers wanted to come to America. People say that a Horseshoe is a sign for lucky. I went Binions Horseshoe. If you ask me, it felt like a place where those important mafia bosses hung out. Only difference was they played poker all day in a casino saloon. Instead of the back room of a pizza parlor. And they wore cowboy hats, instead of baseball caps. It seemed the Horseshoe was the home of the four horsemen i kept reading about. With the big boss being a man named Lucky. There was Benny the dreamer. Doyle the poker Godfather. And Stuie the gambler. He was the new kid who Doyle took under his wing. Then there was Willie Nelson. Doyle was a smart man. He taught poker as an educational game. Some poker players say the key was not to reveal your cards. By concealing your emotions. Doyle said it was the ability to shift gears. It meant the art of playing differently at different times.Doyle claimed he was not a gambler. But he took a chance with Stuie the gambler. It takes a big gamble to let someone inside your heart. I know this. Because regret is something even the best poker faces can not conceal. I know of Willie Nelson as the country singer singing about all the girls he loved before.Personaly I never thought of Luck as a factor worth betting on. In life. Good or bad. But when I think about growing up. The people i met in Las Vegas. I think some people were raised in a different time than they were meant for. When i think about the women I always loved. I believe I met them all at the wrong times. But my finest memory of Binions Horseshoe. Is the time I went there to play my very first hand of Texas Hold Em poker. The time with my kid cousin. That young boy became like my right hand man. He may not have learned to shift gears the way I did. But he certainly had the ability of always being in the right place, at the right time.

We've been coming to watch Super Bowl here for quite a few years. It is an older room. They did switch up the TVs this year, but they should improve on their sound system and put some bigger screens in there. Our server Bri was very nice and attentive. You have to wait pretty early in line to get good tables. And this year it was not as packed and bus as it has been other years. But I'm sure I'll come back again.

We had an amazing 2 days+ for our 50th high school reunion in Las Vegas! Binions Gambling Hall has the greatest Las Vegas "view' venues! Our first night, meet & greet w/appetizers & cash bar event was held on Binion's 25th floor pool deck! We had a warm breeze and amazing views! A perfect night! Next evening a buffet dinner w/carving station at Binion's 24th floor steakhouse where windows are wall to wall, floor to ceiling, with amazing views! During the day and after the parties there are plenty of choices for everyone to choose to engage for entertainment! Our near 100 attendees visited numerous locals such as Grand Canyon, Belagio Botanical Gardens, museums, MGM and many other Resort Hotels, shows, Hoover Dam, etc; we have photos to share from all over Vegas! Binion's banquet staff was headed by Vinnie Jacobson who was amazing! She made planning this, "destination reunion," from the other side of the continent possible! She gave her all to answer to our every need: flag for the pledge, music, microphone, received/held packages weeks in advance, they made signage with our theme and colors that were wonderful, photo backdrop set-up, tables/chairs set-up was beautiful with black linens and gold accents-so simple yet elegant and when we needed more light & space for a group photo she and staff made it happen in another room with stage! She spent hours with me on the phone to answer my detail questions regarding food and planning our event. Included with having our events with Binions, the parking was free for attendees on the event nights and all who stayed at the two hotels for the length of their stay. And, No Resort Fees! We received group room rates at both the Apache and the Four Queen's Hotels for the week making it a very affordable FUN destination! Vegas is easy for all to travel to with many flights available from every state. Our group traveled from every corner of the nation, over a dozen states as far as Alaska & Florida. There is no where else we could have had the amazing view/atmosphere venues we enjoyed for the price we paid and the service Vinnie and staff provided. The food was good, not fabulous. I would suggest if doing appetizers to do a wide variety so all will find something they like rather than doubling up on any one item. Also have some simple things like cheese/crackers; shrimp; chips/guacamole. On Buffet night we had a sirloin at carving table with mushroom sauce that was very good. Turkey and mash potatoes/gravy were good too. However the glazed tri-color carrots I was looking forward too were literally served RAW! I do not believe they were cooked at all! There is no "glazing" over this huge disappointment! Not only the first tray, but the second full tray of carrots were RAW as well! COMPLETELY RAW! and the big cookies I chose for dessert were mostly BURNT or STALE. Only the oatmeal had any "give" to the bite. Another huge disappointment as this is last thing our guests tasted and it left a "bad taste." Only other thing I would advise is if you need to speak to your "group" all together when in the steakhouse, if they cannot all fit in one section of the restaurant, the microphone will not work, as the speakers are only heard in one section; the "cords" were not long enough (not wireless). This was unexpected and a Huge Faux Pas in our event; i looked a fool having to yell to each room my announcements and I cut it short because of the problem! So, I advise you bring your own wireless speakers and mic or ask Vinnie if it would be possible to have one speaker in each room. Maybe they will fix this issue? However, for me the atmosphere, the views, the service and the surrounding entertainment, all outshined and were more important to the occasion than the couple of negatives. (carrots & speakers.) Both venues afforded 100 people a nice amount of room to mingle, visit and eat while enjoying the amazing views and atmosphere! I highly recommend Binion's Banquets and their Vinnie Jacobson for your event!

Faye does not give a damn about whether you are playing or not. 'My cousins and I dropped hundreds of dollars gambling and the main cocktail waitress was laughing at us for asking for a drink and told us. I'm not giving u guys drinks if ur not sitting down. After we sat for an hour and a half waiting for a waitress. The waitress in our section laughed and said she wasn't going to help us cuz she was the only one working the casino floor.

Used to love this place. Playing video poker at the center bar was a bad decision. Lose over $200 in 2 hours and get offered only one cocktail. Seems the bartender here loves to chat up the other bartender, and we were of no concern. In addition, a new bartender was being trained by our bartender Johnny, but hopefully, the new bartender learns to actually offer drinks. Not just screw around. When I worked bar, I hustled, was friendly and positive, and earned great tips. It's how it's done.Don't complain if you don't get good tips. It's all on you.

We stopped in here and have a few drinks played a few slot machines, and it was an overall decent experience little more rundown in comparison to fuel the other places. And nothing special.

Would give it zeros stats if possible. Games are rigged, and when you call for new dice you're escorted out. You have to bet the way they make you with clones next to you pushing you to bet different odds. When you ask. Banned! Lawsuit Eminent!

My husband and I recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with 50 friends and family members in the Longhorn Room at Binions, and it couldn't have been more perfect. We couldn't have done it without the excellent assistance of the Binions/Four Queens banquet manager, Vinnie Jacobsen. The decor, the food, the bar service all went so smoothly and well and all our guests really appreciated it.We highly recommend Vinnie and her amazing crew. Thanks to them, this celebration was a fun, memorable experience!
