It's been a long time since I've last dined at a José Andrés restaurant as the Bazaar in BH closed down. I had fond memories of the BH location and the one dish that I loved was his Philly Cheesesteak on air bread. Was disappointed they closed down but never visited the Bazaar Meat in Vegas. While walking around the Shops at Crystals, we saw signs stating that Bazaar Mar was opening soon so we made it a point to dine here during our annual CNY trip with the fam.One great thing is that valet is free while dining here. Just make sure to head to the underground valet area specific to the Shops at Crystals. Expect to pay for valet if you do not head to the correct valet stand (Aria or the valet stand off Harmon). Similar to the Bazaar, all of the small bites should be ordered for each person with the exception of a few which state how many pieces an order contains (elote, croquetas, olives, etc). All of the small bites we ordered were excellent but the most notable few for me were the lobster croquetas, elote and the California funnel cake. Scallops and the Alaskan king crab chawanmushi were also tasty.Desserts were good and service was attentive. Glad to hear Bazaar meats will be moving to the Palazzo so we won't have to drive out for dinner.

Ate here for a post-Valentine's Saturday night dinner. I can honestly say it was one of the best meals I've had in quite awhile. The restaurant is located right in Crystals shopping mall and is really nicely decorated with modern art. The only two (very minor) complaints I would have is that the music was a little loud for our middle-aged ears and that the two-top tables are very close to each other. But again this is minor and the service and food more than made up for it. Service was exceptional - our server Joseph was very attentive despite having several tables in our section. Water glasses were filled numerous times and plates were cleaned quickly and efficiently (very important in a tapas restaurant). Joseph coursed our meal out very thoughtfully. As noted this is a tapas menu that's very seafood-centric. We ordered:Pan con Tomate - this is a simple preparation of fresh tomato sauce on bread and was an excellent way to start the meal as the bread was so fresh with a delicious olive oil base. Liquid Olives - really neat preparation of green olive emulsion which explodes in your mouth with intense olive flavor. California Funnel Cake - intense and seafood seafood flavor with crab meat on a seaweed cracker. Honey I Shrunk the Elote - such a cute presentation with pickled baby corns on a stick and rolled in elote flavors with popcorn dust. Chicken Croquetas - classic preparation with delicious bechamel. Not So Poor Boy - a small fried bun holding two fried oysters with caviar (probably one of the items I wouldn't order again but still pretty good).Monkfish a la Romana - tender fried monkfish pieces in kind of a "lettuce cup" presentation. Japanese Baby Peaches - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Saw this on the menu and had to try it since I'd never even heard of "baby peaches" before and so glad we did as this is truly a unique dish. Roasted Carrots - traditional preparation and a great vegetable side dish. Papas Arrugas - another cool and unique presentation in that the perfectly tender baby potatoes are served totally undressed and with two incredible dipping sauces (I seriously could've done a shot of the red one).Key Lime Beach - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! What a cool dessert concept and a great way to finish the meal. Overall there were no real "misses" in any of the dishes we ordered. Bear in mind everything is pretty small but we were definitely full at the end of the meal and even took some of the potatoes and carrots home for leftovers. Our bill was $265 before tip which included three glasses of very good Spanish white wine (Garnacha Blanc) and two soft drinks. In my mind that was an absolute steal considering the quality of both the food AND the service. Will definitely be back!!

Bazaar Mar is an upscale Spanish Seafood Tapas Restaurant by Multi Award Winning Michelin Star Chef, and Restauranteur Jose Andres and team. This restaurant is located in the Shops at Crystal's that is next to the Aria Hotel/Casino.On my last visit the food and service was spectacular. This time we had three problems with the service. Also two of the plates we enjoyed last time were different and not what they were last time. The good news is that the grilled fish was a different one but was still very good. Also the Japanese Baby Peaches were just as amazing as last time and we liked the refreshing Pina Colada dessert but thought the little spray bottle of rum was strange because it was just a mist for show and didn't add any flavor to the dish. The blue fin tuna with fried egg last time was my husband's favorite dish here so we got it again. This time it was sitting in much more soy dashi broth that was overpowering to the dish.Gosh one of my favorite bites of the year was the mini sandwich called bagel and lox. It was so explosive with flavors and textures last time. It was very different this time. The air bread this time shattered like glass so it was hard to eat. It tasted different too. I didn't get that caper taste and pickled onion taste this time and fish seemed different. I don't know if they still use Russ and Daughter's lox or something different? Or maybe it was just cut different? It was flat from last time. So bummed. I think it had less filling in too.The service problems we had started at the hostess desk. We checked in but for some reason they were seating people that checked in after us. This was very insulting. We ordered two mini bagel lox sandwiches at our waiters suggestion but the food runner only ran out one to us. Then another food runner piles on our entree plate before us. A minute latter our server arrives and apologies for them bringing the entree so soon and also for them not bring two bagels and lox to us....The second bagel and lox arrived after we ate maybe 1/2 the entree. I am surprised that a manager didn't offer any apologies. I didn't imagine that an upscale restaurant like this would have good and bad days.

Best culinary experience we have had in a long time. Original, bold, daring and adventurous tapas style dishes. Waitress was really nice and took good care of our 4 tops. Space was open and airy, easy to relax and focus on the food. The Jose tacos were my favorite. The take on bagel and lox totally blew me away with texture and temperature. You think you know what you're going to taste but your brain is getting fooled :-) love it! Modern take of classics...All in all a real food journey that really plays with your tastebuds and your foodie mind.

Yelp Review 2024 #222: I've been a fan of Jose Andres for years. I've been to his restaurants multiple times so, I was very excited to hear he was opening another restaurant in Vegas a few days before my birthday. This one focuses on seafood hence, Bazaar Mar. it's located inside the Shops at Crystals (at Aria). A reservation is a must. They have about 15 tables and some bar seating. The place is well-lit and open. The service was great. Our server, sommelier, and bussers all worked seamlessly.Prior to our dinner reservation, I have done my due diligence and looked at their menu online so I know what to get. Our server recommended 4-5 dishes per person and that's exactly what we had planned anyway.Lobster Croquetas:Every Spanish restaurant has chicken croquetas and so does Bazaar Mar. Not everybody has lobster croquetas. Perfectly breaded, warm and creamy lobster and shrimp on the inside, and served with saffron aioli. 5/5Oyster Mushroom "Sea Anemone":We needed a non-animal dish. "Mushroom essence, anchovy aioli, pickled shimeji mushrooms." Mushrooms have meat-like quality to it. It has umami. The anchovy aioli reminds me of a proper Caesar salad dressing. 5/5Japanese Baby Peaches:"Stracciatella, hazelnut, za'atar." The creamier and softer cousin of mozzarella, stracciatella is a nice accompaniment to the Japanese baby peaches. The hazelnuts give the dish earthiness and crunch. It's a balanced dish. 5/5Bagel & Lox:"Smoked salmon, air bread, cream cheese, pickled onions." The air bread was different. Crunchy and was able to withstand the cream cheese. I wish there was more lox though. 3/5Marinated 'Ferran Adria' Liquid Olives:"Green olives, piparra peppers... this will change your life!" Puntillitas Fritas:"Baby squid, aioli negro, piparra pepper, simply fried, as they do in the south of Spain." You get a board full of fried baby squid with dots of squid ink aioli. 4/5Sea Urchin Coca:"Pan de cristal, sobrasada, butter, black pepper." Butter that has been sliced like cheese. Underneath is Uni and sobrasada atop pan de Cristal. Very rich, creamy and smokey with the crunch from the bread. Our server was telling us how Jose Andres just came up with this dish. 5/5Kueh Pai Ti:"Singapore's favorite street food, ama ebi shrimp, peanuts, chili sauce." Thin, crispy, light cups made of flour. Lots of crunch, light and refreshing. 5/5Chocolate Soufflé"70% dark chocolate, caramelized banana ice cream." Mildly bitter and hot soufflé balanced by cold and sweet banana ice cream. I ate the soufflé on its own first. Then, the ice cream on its own. Then, soufflé and ice cream in one spoonful. 4/5We wanted to try the Not So Po Boy José but they didn't have enough portions of oysters. I also wanted to get the River Trout Cone but I'll save it for our next visit with a new round of 8 dishes.Be sure to visit the fish display right in front of their kitchen.

Happy to support Jose Andres because of the amazing work the World Kitchen does. It's easy to do when the food at the restaurant is top notch. We shared a bunch of tapas between 3 couples and the grilled branzino which was super tender and seasoned perfectly. The service was attentive and helpful. It's in the mall but doesn't feel like it is. Cocktails were delicious especially the pineapple rum one. Love when they put juniper seeds in gin and tonic drinks too.

Delicious food and cocktails! Always love Jose Andres' restaurants. The restaurant is beautiful with fun patterns and colors around the space. Bathroom has dark and moody vibes. Our server was attentive and very open to our opinions of faves and least faves although everything was good. Faves of the Creative Tasting Experience were the Maine Lobster Salpicon (prepped 2 ways one being a more rare one and one cooked mixed with a delicious sauce), sea urchin cone, Jamon Iberico de Bellota (the tomato dishes I've tried from Jose's restaurants are always so aromatic and the addition of the saltiness from the jamon was prefect), the Anchovy dish (rich and buttery), Maine lobster roll (the bread part of the dish is his air bread, similar to his well known philly cheesesteak airbread dish he had in his LA restaurant in the past).Lastly, the whole fish was delicious and fresh. They had a few variety of fish for us to choose from and our server suggested what to order dependent on the selection available and whether you want it salt baked, fried or grilled.

Walking through the Shops at Crystals one day, I came across Bazaar Mar which I had no idea existed and apparently opened in the summer. Imagine my delight as I am a fan of both seafood and of chef Jose Andres, having had an excellent meal at Bazaar Meat previously. The restaurant is rather unique as half of it is inside and half "outside" in the mall. Decor is eclectic and ocean-y with a large central bar and window into the kitchen. All of the staff I encountered here, from the hostesses to our wait staff were super friendly and answered my multiple questions about the menu. I'll share my menu selections and want to start by praising their unique cocktails. The Modifier cocktail: a literal smokey cocktail, providing table-side service where smoke is poured into your drink for flavor with an option to add more if you so desired. The large circular ice cube added to the visual presentation of this cocktail and absolutely loved it!Nitro Continental Sour: I wasn't quite expecting how it was served - table-side with all ingredients mixed together in a bowl to create a slushy drink served with a spoon (reminded me of a froze but with whiskey and sour taste). As a person who likes sours, this cocktail was also delicious.Main Lobster Croquetas: fried on the outside with a warm lobster filling along with a saffron aioli sauce. I thought they were perfectly fried and great lobster flavor that I actually enjoyed more without the sauce.Hokkaido Sea Scallops Crudo: I thought this one looked interesting with its tomatillo, grapes and jalapeno-cucumber oil. Definitely interesting flavors with the scallops which surprisingly went very well together. I liked it but I think I seared scallops are more to my liking.Grilled Fish: when you come to Bazaar Mar, you definitely have to get the fish (it also says it on the menu). Your waiter will need to tell you what they have that day and also depending on which style you want it cooked. I went with the live fire grilled branzino and I was so glad I did! They cooked that fish so perfectly and the sauce went so well!Cockles en Salsa Verde: To round off the seafood feast, these clams in garlic sauce along with the bread (you'll want to get all the sauce you can) was probably my favorite along with the branzino. At the end, the staff brought out a complimentary dessert since we were celebrating a special occasion - a lovely French dessert that I can't remember the name of. All in all it was a great experience and was eying their prix fixe Bazaar Mar Experiences for the next time!Lastly, I want to note that if you're driving, there is free valet parking in the Shops at Crystals garage.

Absolutely the best culinary experience we have had. We were there for dinner and chose the Bazaar Mar Experience. This was amazing and highly recommended. Every item on the list was exceptional. The staff was 10 star. Krista and Thelma provided excellent service. We will be asking for them asking during our next visit. Roy, the Sommelier, was very helpful in choosing the perfect wine for our meal. It's not often both the food and service are superb, but Bazaar Mar exceeded our expectations.Thank you Krista, Thelma and Roy for being amazing. See you soon.
