Hear ye, hear ye, come to the Renaissance Festival if you're looking for some good old fashioned fun. My husband, toddler, and pregnant self had a grand time at the festival. Things were off to a great start when the parking gods granted my request to park our wagon ie car in the ADL parking lot after the parking monitor saw my burgeoning belly that's ready to blow. But what a kind soul. That saved me a ton of extra walking, for which I'm so grateful. So thank you kind soul. After that, we were on our merry way to the festival, for which we had free tickets for. To be honest, my pregnant self would not pay money to come here with a toddler. But considering our tickets were free, we really had no complaints. The ambiance was everything and more than what we expected. Everywhere were live performances, food, decor, entertainment. But honestly the best part of the event were the people. Somehow we only came across the nicest of people at the Festival. Maybe goodhearted people are attracted to events such as these. So many people of all ethnicities and ages and spectrums of life were present and dressed in their best renaissance attire, just being themselves and having healthy fun. We enjoyed people watching, and the interactions we had were all friendly. Our favorite part of the day was the Field of Honor and the knights that put on a great show. Our toddler loved watching the horses burst out onto the field, the knights give a feisty sword display, throw down the gauntlet, and joust the heck out of each other. Best part of the night. We did enjoy other shows including songstresses, belly dancing, camel watching, and more. Food was crazy and ridiculously expensive though. We were hungry and didn't anticipate spending $42 on literally just 1 chicken gyro and 1 order of carne asada fries. But I guess it was all apart of the fun. Our toddler enjoyed the foods while we watched the knights. All in all, we had a pleasant experience.

The age of the silvery. That's how I refer to the Sunset Road Reunion. October in the Mojave desert. The October festival people experience all seasons in a day. While celebrating nevada day and Halloween. That's like splitting a tree bark three ways with one axe. Indeed it is a nice gathering. Perhaps it began with few people. Some for nostalgic reminders. Others hoping to be reunited with someone or something. Must like the way Viking families awaiting for their homeland ship. Knowing their voyage could take years or lifetimes to return. Other people joined them, participating in their customary games. Dancing to their lively Celtics folk songs. Drinking with silver cups. Dressing up in the metal armory suits of steel. Eventually some folks wished upon a star. Wishing they could stay in the age of silvery. With each year passing more people wished for the same life. The festival soon became part of the current life. Viking customs became more customized for the new blood. While the new bloods became acclimated.A Viking once believed. When you carry the blood of ViKings. You will wear your metal armor like a shiny new birthday suit

Fun experience! Very large venue that's super popular and full of lots and lots of things to do, eat, watch, experience, etc...I highly recommend dressing up as nearly 95% of patrons do the same. Food options were okay. Not super amazing. Keep in mind:- parking is hugely difficult - prices are steep, as you would expect at an event like this - it's like a maze in there. Hard to learn your way around.

Lisa H.'s review is right. This isn't a Renaissance Faire. I visited in 2014 & 2024. My review is based on my visit in 2024.From the jump, parking was a nightmare and we couldn't find a spot for the longest time. People who parked in the surrounding business lots were being towed. Total mess. This took nearly an hour. Imagine going to a golf themed event and everyone was wearing football pads, others are carrying hockey sticks, someone is walking around with a broom while dressed like Harry Potter at a quidditch match and then other people are dressed as furries in soccer jerseys. It would be weird, right? Do people know that "the Renaissance era" is a real time period in Europe, just as the "Old Kingdom era" is a time period specific to Egypt or "Heian period" is a time period specific to Japan. So if the Renaissance era was a time period that began in Italy in 1350 with the main portion of the Renaissance sweeping Europe between 1450-1550, why are people dressed as Crusaders, Japanese samurai, Darth Vader, people in mushroom toadstool hats, Naruto costumes, steam punk, colonial-era pirates, like a woman in Georges Seurat's" A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" or fairies? I didn't consent to be exposed to people's kinks as they're dressed like furries. Why are we playing music not from the Renaissance era? A guy in a football jersey and kilt singing modern Irish tunes has what to do with the Renaissance? Why is all the food just carnival food? Why are their booths named "the Medieval Kitchen" at a Renaissance festival? Why aren't there any actual Renaissance era foods for sale at all? This place wasn't really Renaissance anything, more just a "wear a costume" festival. It just seemed like a place to sell stuff like belly dancing belts, crystals and drinking horns to adults who were the anime kids that Naruto-ran to the lunch line in school. There were very few actual events happening. Luckily we caught the jousting portion, but other than that, hard pass. I don't know who is paying $25 per person every year to attend this.Visited October 2024

I love going to the Age of Chivalry Ren Fair and used to go every year, and was delighted to go again this year!I love the booths, the costumes, the lights, the food, the smiles, the joy, and the feeling of everyone being welcomePro tip #1: Park at the high school or middle school and take the bus that will ferry you to & fro. Max wait time is usually 20 minutes, so bring a cold drink with you. Pro tip #2: If you go just to enjoy the atmosphere the total cost is $15 per adult per day. Just seeing things is nice and there are stage events included Pro tip #3: Bring a friend because there will be lines for certain things like the Wish Wagon, all food & beverage stands, etc. At the very least bring an audiobook with you because the wait can be 5-30 minutes long for each thing. Pro tip #4: This event is mostly made up of booths selling things - picture an outdoor flea market where everyone dresses up and that's a big part of ren fair. My advice is to save up money in advance. We went hoping for a low-key fun trip there and ended up spending $36 on 2 glass bottles of really good Bison Brew root beer, $21 on a single rope of European licorice ( delicious banana & cream) and 1/2 chocolate fudge, $40 on 2 necklaces (a cute kitty in a moon), and $15 on a pretzel with salt and cheese. So, our simple low-key adventure went over $100. I have been going to the ren fair for over 20 years, and I love it. I just want to prepare you for the $$$$ you'll be shelling out. If you can resist buying stuff - kudos! If you're like me - save up :)

Thanks to Yelp, I had the chance to attend the Renaissance Fair in Vegas on Friday night, and it was quite the experience! The venue was packed, creating a lively atmosphere. There were numerous shops selling costumes and classic Renaissance items--a treat for anyone looking to dress up or take home a unique souvenir. The food options were abundant, adding to the festive vibe.I did hope for more free shows, especially since it was a ticketed event (though I got to attend for free, thanks to Yelp). While there were a few performances, including dance shows and the entertaining "Fight for the Bone," I expected a bit more in terms of free entertainment.Overall, it's a great experience for all ages!

The venue was enormous. Upon attending the opening day, I observed an exceptionally large crowd. Securing parking required approximately 35 minutes, ultimately finding a relatively proximal spot. Notably, parking was complimentary. I was informed that numerous vehicles were towed from nearby lots, so it is advisable to utilize parking within the venue's designated area rather than adjacent shopping centers for future events.A camel ride experience, consisting of two circular trips, was available for $15, with optional photo services offered at an increased price. The area featured numerous vendors selling a wide variety of merchandise, including swords, clothing, jewelry, and numerous other goods. Food lines were efficiently managed, but expensive, with most items priced at approximately $18. Following our experience with three distinct food vendors, we recommend exploring dining options before or after visiting, due to small portions and average food quality. Overall, it was a fantastic evening to dress up with the family! Wear comfortable walking shoes, as I found boots to be quite taxing on my feet!

This was my first time at the fair and I was nervous about the parking situation. My idea was to get there at opening 10:00 am. I got there at 10:05 . No spots left. I decided to create a makeshift new spot at the end of an aisle. A couple of other cats joined me so I didn't see it as a problem. Then I walked in the direction of the entrance. The crowd was unbelievable. At this point it was 10-15 minutes after opening. It took another 15-20 minutes to get in. The divided the crowd into 3 lines and off we went. They checked my bag then somehow I missed the map. . The cast was extremely nice and helpful. They were also willing to pose for pictures and give out coins if you talked to them. I walked around the large loop and since it was way too hot for me I went home. It was too hot for me to enjoy a show or eat outside. I didn't have any issues with my parking spot . So the fair was filled with food and vendors tents every couple of feet. There are also shows going on in various locations. It looked like there were also games and experiences that you could purchase. There were a lot of roped off areas with teepee tents. I'm assuming it was for the performers and cast. If I did it again, I would probably go after sunset but park at one of the suggested schools and take a shuttle.

I will not attend this event again. Comparing it to the one in Arizona where they have a designated place with buildings for the renaissance and it lasts two months instead of three days with tents on lumpy uneven ground- this festival was not what I was expecting. If anything it was a disappointment and expensive, overcrowded with insufficient parking forcing people to park in lots across the street. Some lots were taped off and there were sandwich boards prominently displayed that read Private Lot, Absolutely no event parking allowed, violators will be towed. It was good for people watching. We went on a Friday night but we spent most of our time waiting in line for food and drinks! Not well organized and overall a waste of my time with some of my family members.
