Food is decent, in a very busy plaza next to Costco which is convenient. I love that it's pretty consistent & spot on to food back home, service is always good. Price is so so. Not too expensive but not cheap.Love the spicy garlic chicken- just wish it wasn't fried too hard. Sauce is bomb.

I'm sure it's not an every day occurrence, or at least I'm hoping it's not. Halfway through eating a chicken katsu and kalua pork and cabbage mixed plate, I came across a horrible piece of cabbage that had black veins running throughout it. I googled it and found it is a bacterial infection called Black Rot. The manager apologized and offered me an açaí bowl. I declined because I had to leave and vomit.A good point: the young lady working the counter was friendly.

Quick easy lunch or dinner spot bringing the spirit of the aloha state. It's conveniently located near Costco and a ton of stores on St. Rose parkway. They're consistent and quality is always good and fresh with flavorful dishes. We really like the variety of combo plates and the Hawaiian drinks which are so fun to choose from! I discovered a new drink I've never seen before called green tea lychee. I highly recommend the garlic chicken as one of your plate options that's flavorful and downright addictive. Service is friendly and efficient, and even ordering on DoorDash is easy. Overall the authentic flavors in a chill island setting is comforting and relaxing with a sip of Hawaiian Sun.Recommended Food:- Plate - Garlic chicken & seared tuna are my 2 choices that comes with rice and macaroni salad

Staff are little pushy and seemed rush but I'm sure that's helpful during lunch rush. There is a huge menu and shared space with bowlogy so poke, and açaí options as well as the grill options. I had the bbq salmon and it came with three sides. Huge portions, could've easily shared with someone.Huge Hawaiian canned drink selection as well.The inside is a modern trendy vibe, clean space, with a lot of seating.

Small little spot that you order at the counter. Nothing fancy to write home about. The service was friendly enough. There's a lot of different options from Hawaiian food, burgers, poke, noodles, and bowl. Something for everyone. We opted for the chicken katsu/spicy garlic chicken mix plate and the chicken katsu/9th island chicken. Both come with 2 big scoops of white rice and a scoop of Mac salad. The food was delicious. The spicy garlic chicken definitely has a kick and will have your breath garlicky so grab a mint! The Mac salad was delicious as well. I'd definitely come back and try some of their other options.

Second visit to the 9th Island Grill, and we were much happier than our first visit! Still got carry out food, but much happier with the choices and results! The staff continues to be amazing - friendly and helpful!This time we tried the Garlic chicken plate - crispy and very tasty. The garlic sauce can be a little sweet for our taste, but the chicken itself was great; and the extra crispy chicken skin makes this dish! Also got the Loco Moco - the eggs don't travel great all the way home, but the dish is very tasty and serving size is huge! Lastly we tried the Tonkatau Ramen - this was good even taking it home!Definitely have more dishes we want to try, but the service and food we reckon this trip makes us want to go back soon!

I ordered loco moco through delivery, and the taste is amazing. It's not salty, but it's also not bland. I love their gravy and crispy onions too. The portion and price are perfect. I would definitely get this loco moco again!

Wanted to eat some ramen with the wife on this chilly day. But as a creature of habit I went with the Teri beef, my wife got the tonkatsu ramen and we split the poke nachos. Happy with the flavor of the dishes and the portions. Next time I'll try something different. A hui hou.

My experience at 9th Island Grill has always been excellent, except for today. I ordered 2 BBQ CHICKEN SANDWICHES w/fries and the fries aren't fresh at all!! It may not look like it in the picture but they are HARD and STALE as if they reheated the fries in the microwave. Very disappointed. So 9th Island Grill pay attention....whoever did this knows who they are and should be reprimanded. Just saying.
