Las Peñas Mexican Food #2

Randomly stumbled on this place, and it was absolutely delicious!!!! I got three tacos (pastor, lengua, and shrimp), and they were all good. The pastor was my favorite. My friends got the lengua plate and the chile relleno + enchilada combo. The sauce they use on the lengua was sooo good. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone. The prices were also great for what you get (large portions).

I ordered a breakfast burrito @ crispy bacon. I am specific about the crispy bacon that is the way I like it "ahHuh-ahHuh" That's the way I like it- sorry a bad music joke. Back to the burrito It was perfect, the bacon was crispy, eggs fluffy, onions "yum" and it was huge and delicious. My apology for not taking a photo. Service fast and friendly - ambiance it is family i enjoyed listening to the kids 8 ish to 11 ish on smart phones and Mom chiming in with management Check them out you will smile

Wow.. bean burrito.. bomb Eating 2nd half reheated on 2nd day and still the best!! Will be back for sure

Do not order online. Went to pickup my order and was told "not sure where your money went" even though I had receipt to prove it was the correct restaurant. Very rude customer service; will not be returning.

Ordered from Las Penas No 2 through GrubHub and paid for meal. After receiving estimate of when the order would be ready, I arrived and was told that they are going through a name change and could not provide the food I had paid for. The signage still says "Las Peña's No 2" and that is their name in GrubHub and Google maps. No apologies or offers to help, the worker just said I had to figure it out and walked away. Will not be returning unfortunately.

Amazing food ! So far the best taco shop I've had in San Diego County. If your looking for delicious and reasonable in price, this would be the spot. Another plus, is how clean they keep the place!

Went there with my family this morning to grab some good Mexican food,being our first time here.The food was DELICIOUS!!!The rolled tacos were cooked perfectly and they weren't burnt!The meat in the rolled tacos and in my beef tacos was so moist and tasty!!!!The refried beans were tasty,not salty and creamy,good stuff!The food was definitely worth it!!!If you are in the area, stop by and check out there food!!

Guess this used to be the old palomino joint. Ordered carne asada fries and bean n cheese burrito. Beans were good so that's a plus in my book . When ordering carne asada fries they ask you what size you want which is awesome! Biggest critic is that the fries were soggy and mind you I ate them right away. Take the time to crisp up the fries specially for this kind of order where it'll get soggy eventually. They also came up short on the carne asada. Although delicious, it wasn't abundant like we all are accustomed to having.

The food is amazing here! I really enjoy the California burrito with extra crispy fries and no guac. They have free chips and coffee while you are waiting to get the food! The service team and staff are awesome. This is a great place to eat in Convey district.
