Las Palmas Mexican Restaurante

Located in the Kroger plaza on Highway 100 in Bellevue, Las Palmas is your standard local Mexican restaurant that features a wide variety of classic dishes with a few house specialties and a decent drink menu highlighted by margaritas. I stopped by over the weekend for lunch after swinging through Kroger, it was just me and when I arrived, I was the only person dining in at the time. Which makes sense as it was around 4:00 PM on a Saturday. I was greeted pretty quickly and sat equally as fast. My waitress then disappeared for a few moments and then came back with chips and salsa, and to take my drink order. I tossed in a small queso with my sweet tea and then again, waited for several minutes. When she returned I quickly ordered my meal...and again waited what seemed like an odd amount of time given I was the only person in the restaurant. But, while it was odd and unexpected, I was not in a hurry so I just hung out and munched on my chips and queso. I ended up going with the create your own combination, which consisted of a "you pick 2" situation of a taco, enchilada, burrito and/or chile con carne plus rice and beans for $10.69. I opted for the taco and enchilada. A few things that really stood out about my visit and ultimately landed this review at (2) stars...- Pricing - Things were quite expensive and the portions did not favor the price! My small queso ran me $5, drink $3 and food $11...I had a late lunch that cost me $20 after all was said and done. - Quality - The enchilada sauce was thin, watery and lacked flavor. The ground beef was tough and had a burnt taste to it. - Service - Slow, not that friendly and my order was wrong. I asked for all rice, no beans for my combination plate, but alas when it comes out it has both. I opted to keep it as the time to get a new plate I felt would have been too long. I did mention it to the waitress. The place seemed clean and well kept. Parking is no issue as it shares a lot with Kroger. Seating was plentiful with a healthy mix of tables, booths and outside seating as well. Overall, not my favorite spot I have been to by far and honestly, I do not think I will come back. I love Mexican food and this just did not hit the mark for me unfortunately.

We had a great experience last night. It was after the storm. The staff was awesome. They asked for patience, but we didn't need it. My shrimp fajita quesadilla was perfect. My husband loved his LP special. We are grateful to have this restaurant.

Stopped by here for lunch recently for the first time and we had a great meal. I had the fajita nachos with grilled fish (absolutely delicious) and my husband had the carnitas served with rice, beans, and tortillas. We both had so much that we brought leftovers home and had them for dinner. Service was great although a little slow. We were there at an off time so we thought they were a bit understaffed. The music was also really loud in the beginning, but they graciously accommodated us when we asked that they turn it down. We will definitely return and will likely order the same things when we do!

This restraint has good food and the workers have good customer service skills. This is good location for dates or any other occasions.

Every employee is great and nice , I come here a lot and they know me and know what I like to order .... They are good people and love how they strike a conversation with me like I'm a family member .... I love respect this place and the food is on point too .... The people make this place ... I've never had a bad plate of food or bad customer service ..... make sure to tip well because these employees deserve it and people need to quit being stingy... Thanks las palmas for everything

We have frequented this restaurant twice over the past month. Both time they have increased our food order, or drink order without acknowledgement.I ordered a small margarita and was served a large drink. Also, I ordered 1 single street taco and was served 3. The food is very good but I feel like they are all about making a profit and only care about the profit. Make sure you are very clear about what you order.

Always does a good job. Not fancy, but good food for a fair price. Sometimes hard to get in without a long wait.

I am shocked this does not have perfect 5 star reviews. This place has been the best Mexican restaurant I've been too, for 15 years (probly longer) the cheese dip.. they are fast, efficient and it's a 10 out of 10 Everytime. And the people that gave a one star review just hates their life, this place is the bestest of the best!

We have used Las Palmas in Bellevue twice for special occasions, a birthday party and then again for Christmas. We always have plenty of DELICIOUS food to go around? We placed the order and picked it up; and was so easy to set up when we got home. We always get good service when we eat in as well. Definitely recommend Las Palmas!
