Ive passed by this place many times and it always seems pretty packed. We sat in the back patio area which was really nice! The servers were friendly but seemed a bit overwhelmed by how many large tables of people there were.The Piña Colada was not the best, it lacked flavor and seemed a bit watered down. It seemed like everyone around us was getting Margaritas, so maybe that is the better drink option.We ordered the Molcajete Surtido with steak, shrimp, and chicken. It was pretty delicious! We split it between two people and it was more than enough for us to both feel satisfied. It is a very decent spot with a good vibe, but for the price point I think there are more affordable and more authentic options nearby that I would prefer.

Crazy crazy situation. There was a whole ass beetle in my friend's food. We told our amazing waiter Jack who brought the manager. What a B*TCH. We expected the minimum: the entree off the bill. She gave $10 off the singular entree. Yes, $10. Insulting. She rambled unforgiving saying how it was 'policy' that she couldn't take the entree off the bill. She stated the since we were sitting outside, "things happen" and it's not their fault (the dead beetle was in the middle of the rice). She then proceeded to say that we were being "annoying". Insanity. Rightly furious, we talked to the owner who didn't speak a lick of English. He apologized at least, but then accused me and my friends of being underage. Funny enough, a year ago, this place was knowingly serving alcohol to underage kids and got raided by the police. Crazy stuff.Shout out Jack, he's the man. Can't believe he needs to deal with that manager.Fire the damn manager.

My wife and I met here 36 years ago and loved it then. We were recently in Chicago and talked about going back. We remembered loving the food and pitchers of margaritas!They say you can never go back and she and I generally agree on this point, maybe it's why we've been married for 28 years!Well let me tell you, you can go back to here!!Fantastic food and service (remember to ask for Luis when going here!!! Great guy!!)Highly recommend and sit on the patio whenever you can!

Your food is alwaysss delicious but yesterday my mom and I came in for lunch. Our Steak Enchiladas with mole sauce had lots of hard pieces of steak. We got there around the time you opened so like 11:00 am. Our waiter was great!!!!! Very fast and attentive! I think because we came in right when you guys opened we were given old steak from the night before. I understand businesses can't just afford to waste food but if the quality is compromising a customers dining experience why do that!?! We both were very disappointed. We also told our waiter. It would have been nice if a few dollars were removed from our total. But no.

Another Chicago patio to check if the bucket list! The outside atmosphere was amazing and this patio was so big! The mango margarita was a lovely start to the meal, it literally tasted like dessert. I tried the steak tacos and the steak was nice and tender. Loved the salsa that came with the chips!

Oooof, I really wanted to like this place. Walking by it a trillion times when I lived in Lakeview, I always thought it would be a fun spot to go with friends. Wasn't looking for a haute cuisine experience- I can see it's just a casual Mexican joint. Finally went for it and got a reservation for a Thursday night on the patio. The service was slow despite the inside being virtually empty and the patio half full. Drinks were inexpensive which I appreciated, but my drink had 6-7 pieces of ice in it and was room temp- definitely was not shaken or stirred before being delivered. I asked the server if she recommended the veggie enchiladas or the chiles rellenos, and she recommended the latter- however it tasted freezer burned and I didn't even eat half of it. I'm not one to not eat my food if it's mediocre, but this didn't even hit that threshold. The server was nice, but beyond that, not many redeeming qualities here. I'd skip.

Often passed by this restaurant and decided to have dinner there on a Friday night. The inside is attractive and well maintained as is the patio where we sat. Our server, Anna, was attentive and friendly. The menu was basic fare. I ordered a chicken burrito which came with a side of rice and refried beans. The meal was flavorless. The flour burrito had a red sauce that tasted like marinara and the cheese was barely melted on top. There was a generous amount of chicken but it was tasteless. The burrito was under cooked and the whole plate was visually disappointing. My partner's meal was no better.Do not waste your time or money here.

Best taco Tuesday I've ever had. Everything was fresh. Got the shrimp tacos and they were delicious. Service was great 10/10

I called to ask about gluten-free options. They told me they don't have any gluten-free options at all. I asked if they knew what gluten-free is because most Mexican restaurants are naturally gluten-free because there are a lot of corn tortillas. She just said yes. It seems like she just wanted to get me off the phone and not be very helpful.Obviously, we did not end up going to this restaurant and now have no reason to go since we cannot eat there
