Walked in with every intention of supporting this local restaurant, when the insides looked run-down and had tacos ranging in the $3.50-$5.00/piece range...Despite these signs, I spent ~$20 on a taco plate with rice & beans and tried 4 tacos: Chile Relleno, Vegetarian, Chicken, Al Pastor.... The STANDOUT TACO WAS THE VEGGIE TACO.... but barely so.... How could a taco spot not even get Al Pastor right? Should I have tried their Asada tacos- it's in the name.Whatever is the case... I am disappointed and will never voluntarily go back. This place gives NW Chicago tacos a bad rep :`(

The burrito I had here was a good. Inexpensive for a vegetarian burritos, and it was large. There are some tables inside if you want to eat in but takeout is definitely the name of their game. Came here with a group and everyone liked their food + service was fast for a Saturday night.

This pains me because I try to only leave positive reviews. I live nearby and have always enjoyed the Super Burrito. It is a very good burrito, maybe the best in the neighborhood. But some egregious happened, when I decided to order a plain quesadilla and it was literally just two small corn tacos with melted cheese in the middle. Come on. Also kind of nickel and dimes for salsa and extras like sour cream. Generally just a little overpriced for the quality not being incredible. I'd save it for drunk food and be pleasantly surpirsed

If I could I'd give it We went in just wanting tacos. My mom mentioned that that the tacos were on the pricey side and the cashier apparently took offense. He very smartly said that he wasn't going to say anything to her because he didn't want to offend her, then as she's ORDERING he says if you want I can direct you to a place that charges $6 for a taco. Well that $6 dollar place might be charging high but I'm sure they are delivering consistent product. This food was terrible. I ordered a steak torta and when I went to eat it the torta looked smooshes and the meat was gray. And not gray as if they had cooked it ahead of time like gray as in they had boiled it and just put it on the bread. It tasted terrible I threw it away. The Alpastor was poorly seasoned pork, it had no flavor and the big chunks of pineapple just made it too sweet. I ordered a chicken taco for my daughter and it was just boiled chicken. For him being so offense at the price I would have hoped the would have been better. This is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to in my lifetime. I forgot the forgettable horchata was just milk with some cinnamon. Whoever is deciding how the food is made needs to be fired. It's unfortunate because my mom has fond memories of this place. If you want decent food go to Arturo's down the street or Taqueria Mazamitla on Belmont. Won't be coming back here, not even drunk.Also they're parking lot is stupid.

They have the BEST meat in any tacos/burritos around, quality-wise and ratio to other ingredients! Big chunks of meat, not that shredded and/or gristly crap most places serve. I typically get chicken or steak, barbacoa is great as well. I'm waiting for the day they add carnitas. They may be a bit more expensive but it's absolutely worth it!I first had them at their old Brookfield location years ago, but when they shut down I resorted to their 47th St location (defunct as well) which never did live up... But I came to try this joint and the old Asada Magic I knew and loved has returned to my life! I almost cried after I ate that burrito! And the dude was really nice, quick service. Got the extra salsas I asked for which are freshly made with a good flavor and heat level. They also thankfully have a parking lot, since street parking is shitty in that area; it's a tight squeeze tho, lol.

This is the first and last time I will visit this location. I have been to the one in desplaines which was very good but this one was awful. We had 2 Carne asada burritos. The steak was boiled not grilled like they do at desplaines. Very unappetizing. There was liquid pouring out of the tortilla. I hope this was just a bad day for them. I will retry at desplaines but not the one on western.
