Wow! We were walking by and saw that this establishment sold pasteis de nata - a Portuguese custard tart that we have been dying to try. We got two and they were incredible. A phyllo dough-like crust, with a custard that had a hint of lemon. YUM! We could have gotten at least 10 more. The next time we're back in Seattle, we'll definitely stop by again.

Omg what a gem to find in Pike's Market! Masti the took care of us, and boy were we spoiled! We had the lentil samosas (I had to get a second one They were so delicious) the Moroccan lamb pastry, shakshuka roll (which I would've gotten a second one of as well but we luckily got the last one) African meat pie, and 2 different types of custard tarts from Mozambique, one warm and one cold. Honestly, every bite was so delicious, full of flavor, and if wasn't so full, I would have had seconds of everything! And the Ethiopian coffee that she paired it all with was exceptional. We can't wait to come back soon!

I love Jamaican food (Ackee and Saltfish is amazing), but the first time we dropped in to purchase from Lands of Origin the Moroccan lamb and Jamaican meat pies were incredibly oily. To the point they soaked through the brown bags they were packed in.Although the service was friendly both visits, the flavors didn't really sing together and weren't consistent. My first pie was more flavorful but more oily, and my second pie was less oily but bland with the breading taking over.Sadly, it looks like Lands of Origin is just not my thing.

Definitely have it fresh or right when you buy it. Flavors are great and very well balanced. Textures go well with the flavors and compliment the experience.

Stumbled upon this place while walking around Pike Place and they had Pateis de Nata! These sweet tarts are so hard to find I feel like (ones that are actually good that is). I had them in Europe on a trip and I will say these were SO good, if not better. I'll have to stop back and pick more up on my way back home to Portland!

Great place for hand portable eats at the market! This stand is a spin off of Geni's Ethiopian food stand that is frequently at various farmers markets. Specializing in all sorts of hand pies, pasties and hot pocket type snacks from various parts of Africa and the Afro-Carribean. Staple item there is the Jamaican beef pie which is amazing! Ethiopian Sambusas are the other staple which is excellent with their green sauce. They have other types that are sort flavor or the week ones that I have tried like the chicken peri peri also really good with their sauce. They also offer an array of spices so you try your hand at making some African foods at home.

Make sure to stop by! Masti is so kind and knowledgeable. Meeraf is an amazing baker, she spends so much time and care in testing her new creations! The Portuguese custard tarts, Moroccan lamb rolls and lentil sambosas will change your life. Do yourself a favor and stop by!

YUM YUM YUM. Discovered this place while on a Coffee Food Tour and wow. From seeing their coffee roasting process to tasting a lentil sambusa with their jalapeño cilantro sauce. YUM.After the food tour ended, we immediately went back to their location and ordered ONE-OF-EVERYTHING, well, we did order 4 of the custard tarts.Everything was delicious and so grateful to have such a fun experience and to support a small business. Thanks so much!

Amazing place!! So much better than Piroshky Piroshky! Egg tart is out of this world. Creamy and a little fruity. The best we have had. Our second favorite is shakshuka roll! 10/10! Service is extremely friendly too!

My initial thought was "wow that egg tart is overpriced." But after one bite, I immediately said "worth it" and I consider myself a cheapskate. lol To put in perspective, I grew up eating a lot of egg tarts. I've made my own and I've tried the top two egg tarts in Hong Kong/Macau/Japan. I dare say this egg tart rivals the famous Lord Stows. Maaaaybe even better! Life's short. Eat the egg tart. (I think they called it custard tart.)
