Really good food and portions for the price! I'm from Texas and I definitely recommend this place for its authenticity to the Mexican culture. Come and enjoy some good food, good atmosphere and friendly staff! I'm for sure coming back again!

Really good authentic Mexican food and friendly staff. Great prices for big portions, and they're not greedy with the tortillas like a lot of places tend to be. As a native Texan, this was pretty close to the delicious food we miss from back home.

I ordered tacos de lengua and tripas which I was hesitant to order the tripas because a lot of places dont make them crispy but La Tapatia made them perfectly crisp. Customer service was good and the ambience what it should be for a taqueria. Definitely will be coming back.

This place needs to close down and become a different restaurant. The food is bland and tasteless at best. The drinks are terrible.

This place is a heartburn waiting to happen, but in a good way... I like the vibes and like the spices... will be coming back again to try different foods!

I ordered online through the restaurant's website. I arrived at the restaurant at the time that the online receipt said my food would be ready. From the point that I arrived at the restaurant, it took me 2 hours to get my order. When I first showed up, I was notified that the restaurant had not received any online order even though I had received an online receipt and my payment went through. I was then told to call in the order again. Thankfully I had images of my receipt and was able to show the host the items I had ordered. It turns out that the host did not record my order correctly as I still was missing an item of food after waiting 30+ minutes to pick up my food. When I originally tried to point out that an item from my order was not written down on the host's notepad, I was met with confusion and seemed as though I was not believed even though I had photo evidence of what I ordered and paid for online. I did get the missing item in the end. I was not offered any apology for the inconvenience nor any mention of a reimbursement throughout this experience. Overall, I would NOT order from this restaurant again as the quality of the food did not make up for the two hours that I wasted when my food should have been ready at the time I had arrived.

Really terrible ordering experience through Grubhub. Your driver delivered the order to the wrong place, didn't answer any texts or calls.

We love this place! My husband and I stumbled upon it about 6 months ago, and we consistently enjoy our meals. We have always been seated right away, food quick, and super reasonable!

My gorgeous wife and I came in here on a Friday night in April at 6p and it was literally empty of customers. The wait staff and the bartender were all sitting down at a table. We had to ask if they were open for business and told they were. We didn't want to sit in an empty restaurant so we sat at the empty, small (4 chairs) bar and the bartender was sent over. We were asked if we wanted the chips and salsa, said yes, and asked what we wanted to drink. The chips/salsa were nothing special and definitely not homemade. I asked for a draft beer, picking from one of the 6 drafts listed on the menu, and was told that the taps weren't working. Instead I got a bottled beer and my wonderful wife ordered a margarita on the rocks, no salt. I looked over the menu and saw a burrito, which was listed under Appetizers. I asked if that meant it was small and the bartender didn't know because this was her first day. She talked to someone in the kitchen and said it was a regular size burrito, so I ordered the chorizo version. My lovely wife ordered the chicken enchiladas with red sauce (they also had the green sauce). The food came out pretty quick, no doubt because we were still the only non-employees in here. The burrito was the only item on the plate. Maybe that's authentic but I'm used to burritos smothered in cheese and sauce at other Mexican (chain) restaurants. It was packed with chorizo, rice, onions, and tomatoes, with a negligible amount of refried beans and no discernible sour cream or cilantro. Despite that it was good and I really liked the charred flavor of the tortilla compared to the ubiquitous baked version. They provided green and red homemade hot sauces and I opted for the red which had a good taste and a nice zing to it. That was $11. My amazing wife's enchiladas were very good, she said, but the red enchilada sauce was a bit thin and watery. It didn't come with rice or refried beans but there were 4 enchiladas, so that was good. That also was $11. She gave a thumbs up on the margarita. By this time it was about 6:45p and a few people were starting to come in. I guess we were early birds.We normally don't order dessert but saw churros on the menu and wanted to try those. Those actually took longer to come out than our meals, but they were so good. There were 4 churros with a caramel dipping sauce. A pretty good deal for $5. The ambiance was the typical Americanized Mexican restaurant with colorful booths, hanging sombreros, painted and tiled walls, and some potted plants. What sounded like Spanish pop songs were playing. It was a good meal overall (and more people were coming in when we were leaving at 7:00) but we probably won't be back here with other, closer options - which have more cheese and working taps - for us to choose from.

We ordered a burrito it was disgusting. No beans no sour cream. The beef was re heated and gross when I asked the waiter she's tried to avoid my comment. Did not offer to make it better would never go back. Avoid at any cost.
