La Ristra New Mexican Kitchen

Always a solid meal with good service and relatively good pricing. Not a huge fan of the flavored margarita's ... kinda syrupy. Burrito's are huge. Food gets a blast under the broiler before it comes out (pretty quickly) nice and hot.Nice outdoor covered dining area with propane heaters. Convenient free parking deck behind restaurant off Boston. A bunch of good places to eat right in this area of old town Chandler.

Great Chamoy marg with chips and salsa! 5 of us came by yesterday since we had friends from out of town. We enjoyed the ambiance but the staff was unwelcoming and made us feel rushed even though they were slow when we arrived. We ended up leaving instead of ordering main courses. Too many near by places we can get drinks from. Gilbert location didn't make us feel like this...

La Ristra was a nice surprise in downtown Chandler that serves authentic New Mexican-style food. The location is on Arizona Avenue near several other restaurants and parking was easy. I was impressed by the menu as it was rather large and had lunch specials along with seasonal favorites. The flavors were very good and right away they provided chips with three different types of salsa. To no surprise, green chili was by far the best offering. I had carne adovada enchilladas and they were fantastic - tons of flavor and large portions served with rice and beans. My wife had a shredded pork burrito and it was good, but I recommend going with the green chili sauce for some extra kick.Service was very good and prices were reasonable for the location. We didn't have any drinks, however they have a large bar and a number of daily specials. Definitely worth checking out next time you are in downtown Chandler!

Wow! So happy I tried this place. Got the green chili burrito. Perfect amount of spice, I added Carne Asada, and it was great. Will be one of my favorites moving forward. Wish they would include a little bit of chips with the orders to go, would've loved to scoop up some of the beans, which were awesome also!

My favorite is the margaritas and wings. You can never go wrong with a classic margarita and chips to start the meal. Not a big fan of the flavored margaritas as they don't taste blended and to sweet for my taste. I tried the chicken casserole last time I came and it was so awful tasting. gave it a second try and the wings were great! The staff was sweet and attentive. Will be back

I do not know what happened to my original review of La Ristra. Therefore, I am writing a new one. I have been here for this location million times. I love this place!!La Ristra has an amazing outdoor patio to enjoy, all year long. They have misters and heat lamps, for customer comfort. La Ristra offers live music to enjoy.Once you are seated by the host, you are given their complimentary salsa trio of New Mexican red & green, a more traditional salsa with a tortilla chip combo including blue chips. This is my first Taco Tuesday! La Ristra offers $3 tacos on Tuesdays, today's tacos were carnitas. They were delicious with purple pickled onions. Delicious My go to dishes off the brunch menu are Red Chile Stacked Hash-browns with green or adovado pork. Breakfast Chilaquiles with pork adovado. Stacked Nachos.My traditional menu items are Fajitas, Green Chile Burger, Blue Corn Stacked Enchiladas or New Mexican pizza Christmas style. Christmas style is with green & red chile meats.The Cheese Crisp, Elote, Egg Rolls, Guacamole, Green Chile Sliders and Nachos are stellar appetizers. When I go for happy hour will order off their Tapas menu.On Saturdays and Sundays there are bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary's that are fabulous. They have a special weekend menu for brunch.Hatch chiles and sell them to the public. La Ristra offers seasonal menus that you will want to try.Honestly, I have never had a bad meal. Usually, my plate is clean when I leave; no leftovers.

Service is good here but the food just isn't in my opinion. Bland, not tasty was the consensus from 4/5 of us.

We had a team dinner at La Ristra for 40 people and everything was truly delicious. We did the three combo option for our main course, but started with chips/salsa, guac, elote, and mini chimmis for starters. For the main course, we did chicken tacos, beef burritos, and cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. We also had shrimp and veggie fajitas. For dessert, we did churros and sopapillas. The wait staff and service was phenomenal! We had a few staff members taking care of our group. Everyone was incredibly attentive, provided great service, and made sure we were taken care of throughout our dinner. We never felt rushed or like we were over a time limit by any means. Most folks enjoyed a cocktail and had great things to say about what they ordered. Personally, I ordered a strawberry margarita but the bartender recommended I try the white peach frozen margarita instead -- it was an amazing recommendation and I'm glad I tried it. Thanks for such amazing hospitality, La Ristra!

I lived in New Mexico for a few years and this is the closest I've come to good authentic food. This place is always busy but service is always quick.

Best New Mexico style Mexican food around. Great tequila selection and iced cold beer. Their apps and desserts make for a memorable meal!
