We always take out of town guests here! The servers are super friendly & the food is always delicious. We've gotten the burritos chimichanga style and the tacos. It's a great place if you have a small baby, because one of the dining rooms is down a small ramp and isn't seating guests, so I just take my baby there when she gets fussy/to nurse, so other guests don't have to hear her. The GCC appetizer is also delicious! Occasionally we've had to wait just a bit for drink refills/getting the bill but nothing terrible :)

It's Saturday 8-10-24. We decided to give this place another try!!!!! We walked in just now and left!!! Obviously we are not welcome here! We sat down and we sat 12 minutes and still no beer. We asked how much longer for our cold beer beverages and they said they don't know they have a party of 100 and only 1 bartender. They should shut the restaurant down if they can't service all their patrons!!! As we were leaving the bartender came out as I mentioned I found them on yelp as I was wondering when my drinks would come??? They still said who knows??? They are pouring champagne for 100 people so they will come first!!! Never will I be back here!!!! Do better!!!!!

We entered this place for the last time! The service sucks as always! No greeting upon entering, it's very unorganized. We finally got seated and received chips n salsa. We sat there waiting to at least get our drink order for 10 min and no one came. We were ready to order and no one came. We already saw one couple walk out and we ended up doing the same. They changed the menu drastically and it's very limited now. I think if they don't get it together even after all these years of running a show, it's time for Chef Ramsey to step in because this is a Kitchen Nightmare.

Tried to support a local business, however, when we walked into the open restaurant, we were never greeted. The restaurant was completely open. The employees we did see ignored us.

We took a friend here for lunch. Food was very good. I had a lunch special which was 1 cheese enchilada & 1 beef taco. My husband had the shredded beef chimichanga, it did not disappoint! Filled with beef, my husband loved it. My friend had enchiladas & she enjoyed as well. Service was friendly and attentive. They are working on the restaurant, so that threw us off a bit when walking in..don't let that deter you! Enjoy!

We had intended on eating somewhere else but it was closed so we looked around and found this place. The building is a massive and the architectural inside is really neat. We sat at a high top closer to the bar. You can tell there have been some nice upgrades. Now the chairs at the tables very VFW or Church basement event center. I hope they upgrade those. Cheapens the history of this place. The food ... enchilada style burrito with green sauce sauce. He loved it. He really liked the green sauce. I ordered the #1 which had two tacos, an enchilada, rice and beans. The chicken was very plain ( I would even go as far as saying it was bland) I added sour cream and their delicious salsa which made them yummy. The service was great. We had a guy named Kevin who was well informed on the menu, nice to talk to and knew the history of the building and the area which was nice. He was really pleasant. We will definitely be back

The location is great, being right in downtown Buckeye. The entrance is a bit wonky since if you enter through one door near the parking lot, you have to walk the entire restaurant to get to the host. The service is OK. It was not very busy when we went, and it took about 5 minutes to get drinks. That seems to be normal, so I wouldn't let this discourage you from trying this place. The food is OK. It is not magical or really any different from other Mexican food establishments, but it is edible. Everything was cooked right. The menu is not huge, but it does have some nice options.

We had been to La Placita years ago and the food was so bad we never went back. Since the ownership changed, we decided to stop in for an early supper Saturday. Most of the restaurant was closed and we didn't realize that, but the walk through was interesting to see what has been changed. We were greeted right away in the Cantina and seated at a dirty table. The chips were served nice and warm and my husband liked the salsa. He ordered the three enchiladas with eggs and I got the combo with two cheese enchiladas and a beef taco. When the food came out, I was confused at how you could be served a piping hot plate and half the food was room temp. The cheese in my enchiladas was solid, not melted and the sauce was bland. My husband's enchiladas were the same. It was disappointing. The rice and beans were nice and hot. I enjoyed them as they were very tasty.Overall I would come back and try something else, but there are places I would be willing to drive to that are much better.

3 of us visited LaPlacita which has always been a favorite. Restaurant was not crowded but service was spotty. We had to ask for water 4 times. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas and dinner. When we asked for the bill, the server just announced the amount, no actual bill. We insisted on seeing our bill, the pitcher was $48, and only had 4 drinks in it, if ordering margaritas individually the cost was $8, not $12. All our entrees were higher priced than the menu price, the reason? They raised the prices but hadn't time to get the menus updated. We asked the owner about the $48 pitcher and the menu discrepancies and his answer "Prices increase". So if you want to pay an outrageous price for mediocre food and service La Placita is the place to go!
