I had been driving past this spot in Wedgwood quite some time. After reading Craig's post, I made a note to self to stop by. That moment finally came up on 7/18/20. I had made a fairly decent ragu from scratch and wanted a hearty fresh pasta to accompany it. I explored the retail shop while awaiting assistance. Clearly the person who appeared was doing double duty, making pasta and running the storefront. I inquired, lucked out, and paid for the last available batch tagliatelle (or was it pappardelle?). When you don't feel like cranking out fresh pasta yourself, don't want to use dried, stop by this location in Wedgwood (other site is in Queen Anne) to pick up pasta and other items at this neighborhood specialty shop.

Great fresh pastas (even though they are expensive) and delicious bread from Tall Grass Bakery. I like that they sell produce and other items from local farmers (similar to what you would find at the Farmer's Market). The people are friendly enough and the hours are convenient.

Read the great Yelp reviews and stopped in to get everything for a pasta dinner. One funny thing, i stopped by the Morning side Deli which is right next door. I wanted to grab a quick sandwich one week before. The deli had no deli; only two sad looking, prepackaged turkey and American cheese sandwiches. They did have an impressive array of alcohol, but cannot get wasted on my way to work. After getting my dinner a La Pasta, I believe they just gave up on offering anything deli related.La Pasta has a great array of frozen specially sourced meats. They also have the kind of things that make a cook swoon. Saffron from Cyrus! Truffle dust! Flavored oil oil! Lots of other high quality items, that appear to be carefully selected. Just be warned, I can see myself going whole paycheck on this place.I first selected the asparagus pancetta ravioli and pomodarosauce for dinner and a tiramisu. They were out of banquettes today.Oh, the pasta and sauce were lovely. The pomodaro sauce was so good. It had a pronounced tomato flavor and one is tempted to lick the plate afterwards. The ravioli were nice, with a delicate asparagus and pancetta filling. Would have liked a less pasta to filling ratio, as you quickly get filled up with pasta.Tiramisu was less impressive, so subtracting one star. Was saddened, as I was expecting more, due to the great pasta offerings. Their version is more like a creamy rum pudding cake. No ladyfingers. The creamy rum cake had a slight fruity, almost banana after taste. Very slight flavor of chocolate from the cocoa dusting on top. Could not detect any coffee flavor at all. I took a picture of their ingredients to show you. It was too rich and sweet for me. I could see buying ladyfingers, dipping them in Marsala and placing in pan. I would add expresso powder and La Pastas tiramisu. Put grated chocolate on top and let sit. Will come back to try meat, more pasta and sauces, cooking items and hand over my paycheck. It was a great find.

I get their smoked salmon ravioli and beat garlic spread every time at the farmers market. It's such friggin good and I am happy to hear they have a storefront.

Got two fresh pastas, egg pasta and whole wheat pasta. Haven't made the latter yet but made the egg pasta and it was so good! So fresh, and absorbed the flavors of the bolognese I made really well. I appreciated the instructions on the packaging too. Next time I want to eat some of the other things in their store. Seems they sell a lot more than fresh pasta.

La Pasta is a local pasta maker that sells their pastas at numerous farmers' markets across the Seattle area. I like that their pastas come in many flavors and are not just the usual egg pasta noodles.I had a black squid ink pasta dish at a food truck earlier this year and was interested in making these noodles at home. La Pasta was the only place that I knew that sold this type of pasta. Price was reasonable as it was $6 for a pound of fresh pasta.I had some nice meals with this pasta and would buy it again. I would recommend asking for some pointers on how to best cook the pasta when you buy it however. It was a bit of trial and error for me in this regard.

My first purchase of their Gnochi was at the Wednesday Market in Kirkland. I bought two pounds and then a container of their red sauce. Later when I got home I found out that guests were coming to dinner. Back out i went around the lake to the Wedgwood neighborhood to a very unassuming place with a small parking lot. There is La Pasta in a very small shop with excellent choices of fresh pasta and frozen gnochi. As I looked around i found fresh loaves of bread, sausages and other things that were too much to pass up. So I bought my gnochi, a baguette, more sauce and sausages to go with dinner. The frozen gnochi only took a couple minutes to cook and the texture and flavor was very good and did not seem frozen, the sauce was flavorful and tasted like it was just made. Once again, are there better, probably but for frozen gnochi and sauce in a container it was a bravo from me. Even the bread was great and sausages were also matching. I will definitely going back to grab some gnochi next time the craving takes over.#ThankYouThursday

This is a small cute storefront that sells fresh ingredients for creating your own pasta dish at home. I got the Hot Italian Sausage ($14), Black Squid Ink Pasta ($9), and Creamy Kale and Hazelnut Pesto ($9). All ingredients were quality and tasty when mixed together. I'm not too sure how to describe these things as they taste just as their names would suggest. I have no complaints about them at all. These 3 ingredients lasted me 3 meals, which comes out to about $11/meal. That's not too bad for some fresh ingredients. I would definitely come back and try their other pastas, sauces, meats, and soups. They have a wide variety of selection and I'm sure it's all very good.

This is an incredibly cute shop!! I was prompted to visit using the TooGoodToGo app and received some of their fresh pasta at a discount. I cooked it up for date night with my boyfriend and WOW is this nice quality! I'd definitely visit again for a fancy time, and I never would have found this gem had it not been for their commitment to curbing food waste. Excellent.

I came into La Pasta yesterday to get some seasonal Finn River ciders and a dried sausage. I love La Pasta so much-they have a convenient parking lot, and even if it was full, there is so much residential parking around that you will have no trouble staying awhile. I noticed they are carrying Alpenglow Mixers now. While I didn't get any of their delicious pasta this round, it is so nice to be able to experience a local farmer's market whenever they are open!
