Staff is so nice here, I ordered tacos and promptly dropped them all over myself and the floor of my house and they replaced the entire order for me for free. They're the sweetest. And food is bombbbbb

Best Taco Tuesday deal in San Diego I've found so far. For around $9, you can get four street tacos that get the job done. I went with two carne asada and two adobada tacos. Both were piled with meat, but I liked the flavor of the adobada slightly more. I wasn't the biggest fan of their burritos in the past, they weren't bad but nothing special. There are definitely some better options out there for burritos. I don't believe they do any alcoholic drink deals for Taco Tuesday either.Parking here is a breeze, the staff is friendly, and has your food ready in about 10 minutes after you call in. The salsa bar has three options; a mild green, an orangish red spicy salsa, and a red spicy salsa. I love my heat and the orangish red salsa was my favorite. Don't miss the grilled serrano peppers at the salsa bar if you need more kick, love that they have this not many taco shops do anymore. This taco shop is more of a grab-and-go gem since seating is limited. But if you're after a quick and tasty taco fix, this spot is an excellent option!

Was all in all disappointed. 15.00 for a quart of very bland albondigas.13.00 for a mixed burrito with 75% rice .13.00 for a taco bell size carne asada bowl with no flavor and very little lettuce. Doubt if I'd return. No prices on the menu either. Then later we both became sick to our stomach from the above.

Tasty tacos. Good portion size. Small restaurant.Located in a strip mall in clairemont this tiny mexican restaurant serves up tasty tacos. Parking is easy to find. The place itself is a small walk up counter and two tables. Menu is quite large with a lot of mexican food but some other random items. I was craving a taco so I just kept with the mexican food. the Ordered two tacos, the adobada and the carne asada. Both were good sized. Both were very tasty. Nothing special, just simple tacos but well done. Jus two salsa favors a green and a red. Both are flavorful but not too spicy.Just a good solid place to eat.

La Palapa is a hole-in-the-wall taco joint in which they are one of only four businesses as part of a tiny Bay Park/Clairemont plaza. There were two tables inside that can seat four customers each and a countertop area where you can stand and eat your meal. A few more two-top tables were located outside the entrance. The parking situation was fine because of the low traffic volume. The menu was typical Mexican fare except for a few items like hot links, kabobs, and lumpia. It's like they wanted to delve into offering some Middle Eastern and Filipino snack foods. There was a Tuesday special for their mini tacos. For my to-go order, I bought one each of the three mini tacos... adobada, carne asada, grilled chicken. They were street size and tasted on par with what you can get elsewhere in town. Not much else stood out so I gave a three-star rating for my experience here.

Coming from Austin, I went looking for breakfast tacos, but apparently that's not a thing in SoCal, so I went for lunch tacos at 8:30am. Thanks to jet lag, it's lunchtime for me, at least today. Adobada taco: plenty of flavor as it comes. Carnitas taco: Naturally a more subtle flavor, so top it off with one of three salsas from the salsa bar, which also has roasted Serrano peppers. Wash it down with a Mexican Coke or fruit soda. Good value, especially if you pay cash for a small discount.

I was looking forward to eating here after the good reviews. I was disappointed. The rice was too salty and the pinto beans tasted like canned beans . The tacos dorados I ordered were not like the ones I usually eat at Mexican restaurants they were more like the taco shells they give at Taco Bell . The chiles rellenos were not fully cooked and the food was ready within minutes. It was for a family of 6 . The quality of the food could have been better if they take more time in cooking it more time throughly. Please don't eat here food is horrible !
