La Moon Thai Eatery

I spent a week at a workshop and dorming on SDSU's campus and I had to escape and get real food because cafeteria food is not it.But guess what is? La Moon Thai Eatery! I had Pad Thai with Tofu and cream cheese wontons. I really enjoyed the pad Thai. They let us customize the spice level (on a scale of 1-10) and they nailed my specifications.The portion size was very large and I had leftovers for lunch the next day. So, not only did La Moon rescue me from the cafeteria once, but twice! Friendly and hard working brothers are running the family business! Get out there and support your local small business restaurant, you won't be disappointed!

Cute Thai place off of El Cajon. It's nestled in the same plaza as Rise, Cheba Hut, and some fitness centers, so parking can be tough, but it's open after 8pm and worth checking out for a nice dinner. Service was only one person on a Friday night, but they were attentive and our food arrived quickly. Food-Favorites are the tamarind wings, tom yum with shrimp, and pad thai. The spice level is from 1-10 so we chose 5, but as someone who doesn't really do well with thai spices, could have gotten a 7-8. We also got the house special Ka Pao that tasted even better the next day. The soup was refreshing and a good as well - two of us finished the large as a starter.

La Moon Thai offers the best Thai food I've had in San Diego. The dishes are incredibly flavorful and authentic, with every bite showcasing the quality and care that goes into the cooking. Amazingly delicious Thai food! They are serious about their heat ratings, btw. It is sometimes hard to know if they mean hot like average American hot, or hot like Thai hot, and this place means Thai hot! Everything here is great, and at a good price too.I've only had takeout from here, although it is a cute inside and would be nice to sit in the next time I go. Takeout is hot and super fresh, so there's no lack of quality by doing takeaway!

I kept eyeing this restaurant whenever I'd dine at Cheba Hut nearby and wondered if it was any good. Great food and customer service, I'd come here more often if I lived closer!

So happy I found another delicious Thai restaurant! I ordered the spicy noodles on mild spice and they were amazing in taste! Also the Thai tea with boba was yummy! Service is great. Love that they're open til 10pm for late night food runs. 10/10 would come here again

Whenever I am in the College Area, I am definitely getting my Thai fix at La Moon. I've had their chicken satay, pad thai, pad see ew, and spicy noodle (drunken noodles), as well as their thai tea. You can never go wrong with their food and they make it right on the spot as I can feel the steamy food come up when I open up my food when I take it to-go. I have even taken my friends here and they rave about how tasty it is! The flavors that are embedded into their food is just unreal. I am slurping down my meal. The service is amazing and they are so friendly and easygoing, I have never had a problem with them. They have some indoor seating but it is a little warm but seems very welcoming.

This place is absolutely delicious after a long tiring day and you just want to get take out. They do offer vegan dishes! Just make sure to let them know you want it vegan as they have a special vegan sauce :) next time I'll definitely ask for extra tofu though.
