La Michoacana - Renton

My husband and I were in Kent and we live up north. And we remembered that the Mexican ice cream pop that we love getting from our local Mexican store is from La Michoacana. So, we went here to get ice cream! Ice cream is of course and is always delicious so five stars. I would give zero or one star for customer service. I'm not sure if the workers are trained to serve customers or not, but, essentially, there were three workers and none seemed to like working there. The one who was helping us make us feel like we were bothering her. What's disturbing was that I ordered my ice cream and I told her that I might be interested in getting a churro. Totally ignores what I said about the churro because then I thought that maybe she doesn't serve those and I have to walk to the other counter where the churros are. She then tells me to pay for my ice cream and removes her gloves.... While my husband was next to me who has not ordered. I tell her, can we wait paying until she takes my husband's ice cream order so we can pay together. She reluctantly comes back to get my husband's order. He says one scoop of bubble gum. We're both unsure if one scoop is really that much. We look at the receipt and he was charged for two scoops (medium) ... so he was charged more and he didn't finish the ice cream because it was too much. Unsure if this is the current culture but I guess I remember when I was in high school over 20 years ago working in food service, always had a smile and always willing to help customers. + also, I guess always trying to upsell and ensure everyone in the party has ordered or atleast ensured I asked them if they'd like something. Unfortunately, don't think there's a need for us to come to this store front. We will continue to order the ice cream pop from our local Mexican store. Without a doubt, it's the best ice cream. Just so unfortunate the store itself has what seem like lazy workers. Perhaps they treat other customers they know differently, if so, good for you them.

Fun place to check out. Pretty popular, so on a Saturday afternoon it was definitely busy - expect long waits. Was grateful to not have gone alone as I needed my partner to stay in line so I could browse the glass ice cream display to plan what flavors I would order. It wasn't until much later that we noticed a QR code on the windows to scan for the menu. We tried the churro split which allowed for 3 choices of ice cream. Each of the flavors were really good - although we weren't too adventurous with our choices. Would love to go back and try more.Parking lot is fairly small so expect to wait and drive around a bit on a busy day.

Went here because one of the reviews said they had vegan or dairy-free options, but the only choices were tamarind or lime sorbet. Was hoping for something like vegan chocolate. Person who took my order had to get a couple people to translate to English for me.

Ehhh. Comparing it to the Federal Way Michoacana, this one was giving sad vibes. Despite their random fake greenery walls with encouraging signs ("Heaven - you're here" and something about chasing your dreams), crazy LED lights and club music, the whole place just seemed sad. Huge and roomy, but gloomy. The aguas were in smaller containers than in the FW location, and the ice cream flavor I had (Ferrero) was just okay - again, FW Ferrero tastes amazing. Parking was just as wild as in FW, however it's not ADA friendly, meaning if you can't handle stairs, then you can't go in. Service was fine, they seemed nice and efficient. Idk 3 stars for just okay, I'll stick to FW.

Strawberry milkshakes can be good if they don't add to many toppings. Friendly service .

Decided to try this Mexican ice cream and snack shop. Service was good, the ambiance was modern - the place looked pretty clean. The highlight for me was the Mangonada. The Paletas were good, but this place is pricey for what you get. Overall a good experience, but be prepared to spend $6-7 per drink. The corn was just ok and the horchata was a little watery and overly spiced for my taste.I'd come back to try other items. Wish some of the items on the menu would have a description of the ingredients...hard to tell what I'm ordering by just looking at the name. As many others have mentioned, the value for what you get is not all that great. I couldn't believe I spent close to $60 on my order. For that reason it's a 4 star experience.

I love coming here it reminds me of going to La michoacana in Mexico , service is great and quality is good. I highly recommend

We came in on Saturday at about 4:00 PM for a sweet treat. This place is so bright and happy, and they have a wide variety of flavors both sweet and savory. It was challenging to not walk away with their crock pot of queso. Or all the beautiful popsicles and ice creams. This was an absolute delight! I ordered the Zopote Negro ice cream because I hadn't heard of it until this visit, and it was so good! It's like a cross between a fig and persimmon.I can't wait to come back and try more-there was a wide range of flavors and it was comfortable here. We were blown away!

Authentically Mexican! They make their items fresh, just like the La Michoacána(s) franchises in Mexico. Highly recommend!:)
