Please reduce or eliminate the perfume, many have allergies, sensitivities or simply do not enjoy tasting perfume with their meal. No.Only patron at noon on a Tuesday.Sangria is average/good. Too watery :)Chips fine: not greasy or stale yet not warm or anything else: didn't taste like anything.No salt/pepper on table which I needed for the tasteless chips.Salsa too spicy for my liking: tasted like hotness and that's all.I can not bear the EXTRA loud music. Will only come again if a friend suggests.Temp lunch menu is great: easy to read and not filled with endless pages.Ground beef taco is good, I like it. Nothing special but not bad or not good. Def would always order.Seated in a dirty booth although no other customers around.Fond memories of this restaurant... my parents came here after I gave birth to my son!We miss Tina! So loving and caring.

New family members running this well established Fairwood Mexican restaurant. This place is getting tons of remodeling and the food is great! We love all the menu choices and the friendly staff makes for a great lunch or dinner!!

This is a good restaurant for pretty much anyone to be honest. I just wasn't blown away by any of the food, which is the reason for my 3 star. It is good, but not great. Lowkey on the expensive side for the quality of food.

Very good service and excellent food . The place is quite dated and outside is a bit run down but don't let that fool you. It's very good and we both cleaned our plates. I got the chili rellano with beef and my husband got a burrito.

We have started coming here more often with the new ownership. They are so nice and the food is great. Husband always gets the carne asada cause it's always super tender. I wander around the menu and am never disappointed. Plus their salsa is always fresh and yummy!I know some people say "inside needs to be updated", etc. But with how expensive things have gotten, I'm happy to walk across carpet that's a few years old or use a restroom that doesn't have the most up to date style tiles to enjoy delicious food. As a side note, I would also struggle as a business owner to sink tens of thousands of dollars into updating a place for it to be the benefit for the landlord that will just turn around and raise my rent.

I have a history with this place going back 40 years. The food and service here has always been terrible. This is shocking considering the Sunset location always had great food and service. Mexican is my favorite food, but I have had some of my worst meals at this location. When I heard the location had new ownership late last year I decided to check them out. I food here was originally about a 3/10, it improved, but maybe a 6/10 at best. The salsa had a nice kick, but the beans tasted like they came from a can and the ground beef had too much tomato. I also tries the chicken taquitos and there was almost no chicken inside, it was basically just fried tortilla with a kiss of chicken in the center. The place is also about 55 degrees inside and there is nothing like shivering through your meal. I assume the heat doesn't work, because this has always been the case and you would assume new owner would turn on the heat if it worked. Like others have said, service is a bit slow and there is always an excuse about someone running late, I've only had lunch and it always taste like they heated up something from the day before instead of making something fresh. The new staff is really nice, but the food just isn't good. It's amazing to me how California has great Mexican food, but places like this can't get it right. You got chicken, beef and pork, rice and beans. Doesn't feel like we are asking too much. Season it well, serve it hot and make it like grandma did. Leave that Taco Bell style combo platter alone. If people want cheap fake Mexican food, let them get it elsewhere, If you are Mexican, have pride and attract your people by serving something that taste like you have pride in your heritage. Until I hear you are doing it right, I'm going down the block to Hermanos. It may cost more, but it's worth it. Best Mexican this side of Seattle. The fact that anyone would drive to another city for a taco ought to tell you, watered down Mexican food isn't for those of us that grew up with quality restaurants. Put a banner up when you decided to serve better Mexican food. The city is waiting.

The changed up their menu. Unfortunately it looks like they don't have some of the better choices anymore. Food was just okay, not fresh looking or tasting. They charge an extra $4 for guac and sour cream. Charging extra for something that should be included with all dishes is not right. it will hurt their business. Electrical tape on the seat cushions to cover holes is never a good idea.

We sat in the bar area to watch The National College Football Game UW Washington versus Michigan. Service is slow for having 2 other guests in the bar area. The waiter did not introduce himself. We were seated at a table with chips on the floor. The waiter said he'd take care of it and did not. The waiter took our order without writing it down. I was shocked when he gave me the wrong order.Staff person (Edgar) because I asked his name, happened to come to the bar area. I told him the waiter did not return to clean up the broken chips on the floor. Edgar swept it up. I asked Edgar if there were new owners. I have heard it was with new owners. He said that it is still the same ownership but different management. It is run by different family members. He said that he and the family is interested in improving the restaurant. Nothing was done to the interior decore, but have gotten away from using some canned ingredients. They have a two year lease.I told him that Yelp has the restaurant down for 3.3 stars. He said that he didn't know and didn't pay attention to Yelp. I mentioned other media outlets. He didn't care. The reason we haven't been there lately is because of the inconsistencies in service. The waiter returned while talking with Edgar, I said that service makes a big difference. The waiter said this is Fairwood. He implied that you don't get service in Fairwood. I said that we have lived in Fairwood for 25 years, and that is a very negative thing to say. He laughed it off. This is not acceptable. Other businesses in Fairwood have great customer service. I left the establishment. I could not eat my dinner knowing the staff believes this. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Rarely do I have a bad meal here. I love the update in the to-go containers. It makes it so easy to toss in the oven to warm up if the trip home is delayed or there are leftovers.The service is always courteous and top notch.While the exterior May be a little dated it is always clean.
