The chicken tamales are such a wonderful treat - the kind of warm comfort food that you just can't find if you're only going to a large national supermarket chain for your groceries. This is my neighborhood carniceria and I love it.

From one Esperanza to another, very much recommend. Support local businesses, especially from POC. They have everything your little Latino taste buds desire, money transfers, and products. The workers will remember you and get to know you. You get greeted and you feel the love.

This is a great little convenience store. As you might have guessed by the name, it focuses on Latin American products. They have a good selection of foods, including sweets (candy, ice pops, etc.) The prices seem quite reasonable.

My Sister used to live in this neighborhood. , but she left it about 20 years ago. At the time, I don't think there was anything other than Asian groceries. This place is small but packed and people were lined up to get their goods. I saw a lot of quality products but came to check out their Salsa selection. I only saw two house salsas, but they did a refrigerated stock of commercial salsas that looked good. I got the Roja and Quemada and both were better than any store-bought salsa you would find at a national grocer. I'm going to assume it's easier for them to stock these than to have a house selection, but I do applaud places like El Guadalupe in Burien and Mercato in Federal Way, that make at least 5 salsas to choose from. Beacon Hill is a bit out of the way for me, but if I'm every back in the neighborhood, I'll be sure to take a closer look at this store, there meat counter looked amazing and if I can grab something already marinaded to come home and grill, it would make for a glorious feast.

in front of the store there is a guy that sells esquites, tostilocos, elotes, and other mexican street snacks. heaven! never seen a street food vendor around seattle before I don't think - at least not that commonly. Devoured everything - was so delicious.inside the tienda (store) theres everything you could possibly need, from all the types of pan (bread/pastries), drinks, ingredients (fresh and frozen), meats, and more. will be back for more treats!

What can I say fresh produce huge selection such as fresh prickly pear, tomatillo and large selection of fresh and dried peppers! The butcher counter is mind blowing, I wish I had a little more time to take it all in. They also make their own salsa, which is also by the meat buter. In addition a huge selection of in house cheese. I found some great hot sauce, I was out and needed to add some new flavors. The La Botanera hot sauce and Picama's Salsa Brava hot sauce is the bomb.Next time I plan on taking the light rail from capitol hill to beacon hill to avoid the traffic. Consider it is located across the street from the light rail.

I love this store. The employees are super nice. The butcher knows what he's doing and is very helpful; the meats and cheese are the best. Tons of stuff from across Latin America. The Michoacán restaurant formerly located across Beacon Ave relocated next door to the grocery store in a most pleasant space, at once rustic and stylish. It turns out, the old restaurant is being demolished for condos. New residents will have a great place to shop and taco (that's a verb, folks).
