Dolve Vita is not just one of the best restaurants in La Jolla, but in the entire US as well. The food is absolutely fabulous, and the service is top-notch. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Every dish we tried, from the octopus to the pasta with vodka sauce, various pizzas, caneloni with spinach and ricotta, and various salads, was not only delicious but also prepared with great attention to detail. We are already planning to visit again and highly recommend this hidden gem to everyone.

I love their fettucine crab pasta here. This place was truly an eyeopening experience when I first was introduced to this place, but my second and third time going, it was slightly a let down. I'd say I've tried now a lot of things on the menu, but the tastes are a little bland, and mind you, I don't eat things salty at all. I eat PLAIN SALADS sometimes without dressing, so I know what's bland and not. I'd say my favorite items on their menu are: - fettucine crab- gorgonzola salad - clams/mussels The ambience was perfect for a casual date, so I had a good time, and it's right by the beach at La Jolla Cove, so that's obviously a great plus. The service isn't the best I've seen. They completely forgot the crab for the fettucine crab pasta and when we told them.. they just put really cold crab on our pasta with barely an apology. The waiter that led me to my table wasn't the most polite either, so slightly disappointed, but other than that, I still had a great time my first time I went to La Dolce. Just get the fettucine crab and salad. Highly recommend

Attended a college graduation celebration dinner here. Party of 12 and all orders came out perfect. This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. La jolla has the best weather so either way would be good times. Food is good. I have the pollo dolce vita and it was surprisingly good. Chicken breast tender and the cheese sauce were done just right. The pizza was also tasty. Salad was alright. May be need more dressing or toss a bit more. The sausage was dry So can consider adding chicken/shrimp/ribeye instead but it is spinach so ok to go with just the salad in my opinion. Valet or street parking are available . We found street parking couple blocks away which is closer to the ellen browning scripps Park. Easy walk and definitely enjoy all the art galleries there.

we came here on a foodie tour. We were a group of 33 chef instructors and admin from schools all over the US. We got a story of the restaurant from the owner and he served us a fixed meal of spaghetti. I'm not one to order spaghetti at a restaurant as I'm super fussy with my pastas. This one tasted just like my homemade sauce. Deep and flavorful. We were given bread with a house sauce. We were asked to guess the secret ingredient and I was able to identify it quickly. what a fun experience.

First of all, we had a party of sixteen people and we were all treated with kindness and respect. We were celebrating a UCSD graduation. Our waiter was amazing. Every item was perfect, and our waiter was very patient with us. I started with a tasty Caesar salad. A number of other friends ordered the blue cheese salad and were very pleased. It had tons of blue cheese and was big enough to share. A couple people at the other end of the table had the burrata with prosciutto and it looked fantastic. I would order that next time. We had multiple orders of fried calamari. It was fine, nothing special, maybe cooked a tiny bit too long. The Vegetali pizza had authentic crust and was loaded with vegetables. At that point we realized we had over ordered!Next I had the lobster ravioli with asparagus that was definitely something special and I could eat that every day. Two of our vegetarian friends had the Fettucine Al Pesto and Linguine with just plain marinara and they were very pleased. For desserts we ordered platters with big pieces of every dessert. The chocolate cake was dense with a frosting that was a delight. There were a wonderful cheesecake, Tiramasu, and Limoncello cake. (I was fortunate enough to get to take some of each home to have with my coffee the next morning)The entire experience was delightful and we will all enjoy coming back.

The food was really good, as well as the service, and the ambiance! My family and I all loved our meals! We also had dessert that was really delicious. The pistachio cake was to die for!! The only thing is that their lemonade is not house made. I'm a huge lemonade person, so that's important to me. Other than that great place!Side note: My dad is a vegetarian and they had a really good egg plant lasagna!

This is the best restaurant in San Diego county. The food is beyond amazing, authentic and high quality. The serviceC I just can't say enough. If you have a special occasion, they will make it even more special. From the moment we were greeted to them celebrating our anniversary with us, treated us like family! They are the real Italian deal. I live in North county, Carlsbad and there is nowhere I'd rather go. Better than any place in Carlsbad. Finally, if you're Italian looking for the real deal, this is the spot. Ask for Ludo!

Unfortunately, we booked our reservation per the site at 9.30pm and when we arrived we struggle to get sited because they were closing. We were able to get dinner but obviously we were rushed as people wanted to close.I advice you set your expectations about timing as it's not free meal and getting rush on an Italian dinner is totally against what dinner means. Food was ok.
