La Dive in Cap Hill is technically more bar than food, though I did hear both bar and food are good. We went specifically because we heard they are doing a Filipino food pop-up. The place is pleasantly roomy with an artistic mural on the wall. This is a chill and hang out bar, not a sports bar. We scored a table by the window and ordered our food at the bar. They bring the food to us. Service was simple and courteous. The staff is surprisingly chill and having fun with each other. Good for them! Parking is street only. The Food:Lumpia Shanghai, 5 pcs, $10 - 4 StarsTheirs is a simpler content with seemingly pork only. Traditional recipes often have water chestnut so I can taste a hint of crunch. The meat must have shrunken from the ends, so the two ends are wrap only. Not an ideal lumpia shanghai but satisfying if one is craving for it. We though the price was very reasonable.Lugaw, $18 - 2 StarsMenu: Rice porridge with egg and calamansiThis dish is puzzling. We are familiar with arroz caldo, the Filipino chicken rice porridge. I knew this won't be flavored with chicken. I expected more flavor, period. The calamansi was far too subtle. The black garlic and the fried shallots weren't enough to flavor the rice. It looks like it has more flavor than it is. The best part of this dish is the egg. For $18, it was also a surprisingly small serving. Disappointing.

La Dive is a great place to go for wine and food. The service is friendly and as other reviews noted, it has great vibes. The wine list is not long, but excellent. I had three different reds and they were all outstanding. My friend tried a rose and also an orange wine. The rose looked like a red, but was really good and then the orange wine was a surprise. We were really pleased with the food also. We started with the farmers cheese and herbs. Very simple, but very nice. Cheese matched wine very well.We also had the crispy spiced beef pancake. I am not sure how to describe this, but it was really tasted. It is definitely a crisp, flaky crust with the beef on the inside very nicely flavored. Then I had the patty melt while my friend had a kielbasa sandwich. The patty melt was also excellent--burger could have been cooked a little less for my preference, but great flavors and loved the rye. Then my friend absolutely loved the kielbasa, her favorite.Fun place, great food and drinks, definitely worth a visit.

This place is vibes!I really love coming in here to have a drink or two and enjoy the cuteness while either waiting for a table at a nearby restaurant or just taking cover during the rainy season in Seattle. The champbong is a little outrageous and awkward to drink out of but I suppose it is fun if a group of friends all want to imbibe out of an unusual vessel. They make great cocktails, alcoholic slushies, and wine menu. Check it out the next time you're not sure where to go for a pre dinner or post dinner drink!

My coworker recommended this place to me and wow, I am impressed. There are so many things to choose from but only so much alcohol tolerance, as he recommended the slushie and the pet nat, and I also saw a relatively unique drink that is the chambong that I also wanted to get. I settled for the slushie this time, as I heard it is very strong. It is strong enough to get a standard person tipsy, for only $12 + tax/tip, which is much cheaper than a standard cocktail that one may need more than one. I got the frozen pool party specifically (vinho verde, white rum, lime). The slushie is somewhat sweet but is very spiked as it is bitter - your mileage may vary with how you enjoy it. It is somewhat simplistic but value is great if you are aiming to get a little drunk for the night. This is definitely bar-like as you simply order at the front and seat yourself, rather than a host(ess) seat you in despite the fact there is table seating. It has been a while since I have been to these types of bars in Capitol Hill! Next time I will definitely try the chambongs and then pet nat as it looks pretty and a lot of fun.

La Dive is always such a good time! I think this is a spot I would bring friends to to grab some bites and fun drinks/cocktails before a night out.Everything we ate here was fantastic, definitely a more refined bar experience, with fancier food options, with a price tag to match. I would highly recommend going during happy hour, you get a few bucks off cocktails and their house chambong is half off. You cannot skip the chambong, chambong and la dive go hand in hand!!! I loved their oysters! It had some fun toppings on top. Their bread was fantastic too. And obviously I love the chambong, even their cheaper option is delicious. The cocktails are strong too!

You're here for the vibes. Nice mood lighting. You see people out with their friends, couples on dates, and people hanging out after work. Nice bartenders, just a tad stressed out. Drinks are expensive, easily $15-16 for a small drink and additional $1-2 per drink for tip. They have a list of wine, cocktails (majority are slushies), handful of beers and a couple on tap, and nonalcoholic options. My friend got a nonalcoholic sparkling water and it was $7. Their food is more snack type/bar snack items than actual meals.I had two of their slushies. Good flavors! But just tiny.

I was really looking forward to visiting La dive on our trip to Seattle with my wife but La Dive Is really not worth your time the drinks were good but the service was horrible I hate feeling like I'm an inconvenience especially when we are the only people in the bar. Bartender was rude and not afraid to show it. I did enjoy the drink but I feel like a place like this should have better server especially since it's not a "dive" type bar. My wife did really love the restroom and the ambience. Maybe we just went to the wrong location out of the 2 but it really wasn't welcoming at all.

We had lovely evening powered by delicious drink and dumpling (more like gnocchi, rather than asian dumplings). But giving 2 star because the staff was rude. When we asked for 'cocktail' recommendation, the bartender rolled his eyes, and said 'this is a wine bar'. (Ugh?!? But you guys sell cocktails too....?) The attitude wanted us to leave but we were too lazy to find another bar. The food, atmosphere (even restroom) were all cool but the bartender was too snobby and we don't deserve that.
