LA Crab Shack

We love this place. When you walk in it feels like you are in the bayou. There's a life sized pirate, a shark hanging from the ceiling, a gator hanging out on a ledge, and lots of old wood and colored lights. There are frozen cocktails, and they have been good and strong every time I've been there. Oh, and their super inexpensive. I'm A Crab Shack is Louisiana themed, so, of course, I always get the hurricane. Even though their thing is the seafood "boil," we chose platterss, instead. The gator nuggets here are so good. In if you've never tried Gator before, this is a great place to try it. It's battered and fried and yummy. You can also get frog legs, which are also delicious. We also got the Cajun fried rice---so good!!! The theming is great, but it's not fancy. It doesn't matter, though, because we always have a great time here drinking hurricanes and eating Gator and frog legs. Definitely recommend it.

I'm basically a regular at this point. Have come back several times since I discovered this place back in 2022. Consistently great food and service!

I love coming here. On this occasion it was my moms birthday and we got the family bundle along with a regular shrimp boil with 4 potatoes. I wish I would have gotten more photos of the food however, we demolished it in minutes so that just goes to show how yummy it was. Lol. As always the service and staff were awesome and attentive. Great portions and yummy flavors. One of my Cajun go to spots. Highly recommend.

Food was pretty good. I feel like it was average. Nothing special. The server seemed a bit annoyed/disconnected. I believe the staff were on break and having a meeting in the dining area, and there weren't many other customers so it was a bit awkward. The restaurant isn't a hole in the wall but the decorations kind of make it one. Wouldn't go back.

I ordered a seafood boil to go for the first time. The food was absolutely delicious. I would definitely go back again, but I would sit there in person so I don't waste anytime getting to the goodies. The sauce... phenomenal, the crab...Phenomenal, the shrimp...PHENOMENAL. Came here last night for a birthday dinner celebration. Kyle provided excellent service for the 5 of us last night. We had someone with us who's never experienced real crab before. She gave the experience a 10/10. Wasn't exceptionally busy last night, but perfect for the occasion.

We got house blend snow crabs, mussels, crawfish, and head on shrimp.The house blend flavor was AMAZING. I'm giving it a 4/5 for price to quantity ratio. But I would go back.

The location is in an old strip mall next to AZ International Market. The server (Phil) was great and the restaurant was clean.I got the king crab and didn't think it tasted as good as I expect king crab to taste. The headless shrimp and clams were pretty good. The other items we tried were mediocre. The sauces are very tasty and can cover up mediocre seafood, but for the price, I expect the seafood to shine on its own. Overall, I would rate this place a 3/5, but due to the other places in Arizona not being that great either, I bumped it to 4/5.

Got a medium spice house blend of shrimp and sausages with a side of rice. The picture I took doesn't do the food justice. Food was delicious. It was packed with the right balance of flavors with a good kick. Service was also great and food came out fast. We came on a Friday evening and I think we just beat the rush because we got seated right away but literally in 30 minutes, the restaurant completely filled up. I think this place is definitely chill, but the energy with the guests and staff are great. I would recommend trying this place out!

Love this place! First, the decor is super fun--sharks, pirates, alligators, and lights all around. The food is really good, and though the cocktails seem to come from a frozen drink machine, they are delicious. The frog legs and Gator nuggets are super yummy!
