We came to dinner at LA costa Sat night around 6:30 pm. The restaurant was already busy, but the service was quick and we were seated. I like it when the restaurant staff greeting me "Hola" in Spanish. I also like the interior, which makes me feel like I'm in a Mexican. This time we ordered Cochinita Pibil and Carne Asada y Mojo de Ajo. All of the menu items are plentiful, so it might be a good idea to share them. Although we could only eat half of it, we took it home and ate it for lunch the next day, and the foods were easy to eat all.

We had a friend suggest we try this place, as they claim this is a great place to get tacos and Mexican food in general. The tacos we ordered were good. It took a little bit of time to receive our order since it was around dinner time. We also didn't dine in, we ordered to-go. The restaurant is located in a plaza, so parking should not be an issue.

Seeking great Mexican food, super large portions, and live entertainment? Look no further than La Costa (The Coast/Shore)!My boyfriend and I came here the first time for dinner after Yelping Mexican restaurants in Burien. When we first arrived, groups of people were lined out the door. When we got to the door, we were could hear loud laughter and conversations from all around the restaurant. The hostess greeted us and told us that while they did not have room in the dining area, they had room at the bar. Looking at the line waiting for a table in the main area, we opted for the bar and followed the hostess to a table at the bar.The menu has a huge selection including burritos, tacos, soups, salads, stews, fajitas, enchiladas- you name it, they've probably got it. The guy sitting at the adjacent table behind us told us we were in for a treat. Right after he said that, a mariachi band started playing over the loud conversations going on. They traveled from table to table, serenading and playing for each guest. Needless to say, it was nearly impossible to have a conversation. In the meantime, my boyfriend and I munched on the complimentary chips with salsa and bean dip brought to our table. After browsing through the menu, we ordered CHICKEN ENCHILADAS and MOLCAJETE (traditional chicken and beef stew). I've never had or seen molcajete on the menu before and so I decided to try something new since we weee there. We got our food within 15-20 minutes after ordering. The platters were absolutely MASSIVE and were basically the size of a party tray; I don't think I've ever had so much food from a Mexican restaurant before. My boyfriend was full from eating just the first CHICKEN ENCHILADA and still had another to go. The MOLCAJETE was decent with lots of pieces of meat and vegetables. The dish was mostly savory and a little tangy. I added a little hot sauce to it and it was perfect. The dish also came with a giant side of rice, cabbage salad, six tortillas, and beans. I could pass on the cabbage salad and the rice was a little dry, but all meal components were decent overall. Like my boyfriend, I struggled to get through my dish and ended up taking half or more of it home in a foil pie container stuffed to the brim.Service was okay; it took us a little while to flag down a server to get our bill, but it was to be expected with how busy and bustling this place was. Prices are a little higher than other Mexican restaurants in the area, but the portion sizes can't be beat here.Overall: 4/5 for food, 4/5 for atmosphere, 3/5 for service

Love coming here, always a good dining experience and their food is greatly portioned as well as fairly priced. I also love their margaritas, that in itself is a good enough reason to return. There's pretty ample seating and clean, only thing is the paint could use some updating. Our server was attentive and friendly. I'm not sure what my fiancé got, some kind of chicken and I got the shredded chicken flautas which were delicious. Their menu is pretty extensive too so you'll be guaranteed to find something you like.

TLDR: go, food service and drinks are all great!I was recommended this place from a coworker (in Hawaii) years ago when I first moved here. I always love the food and vibe. They have art for sale in the restrooms from a local artist. Bar area with about 8 seats at the rail. They go all out for cinco - we went yesterday early. Outdoor covered patio year round and a parking lot party on cinco de mayo. The service is always amazing, checking in enough without hovering. Total 10/10

Perfect (American) Mexican Food. I do not mean that as a negative by any means, as it was so nice to have food that had flavor. The service by Efren was excellent. He was timely, and incredibly knowledgeable of the menu. My wife is vegetarian, and he was able to assist her in ordering correctly. The menu is huge, so it took some time to order our entrees. We started our experience with a perfectly balanced house margarita. It truly was one of the best overall margarita's I have ever had. The blend of sweetness and tartness is exactly what makes a margarita stand out.We also had the small nachos as an appetizer. So much cheese, with tomatoes and green onions. They were excellent. We each had the Enchilada Suiza. Oh my, so good. Mine was requested to be made with pork and my wife of course had it vegetarian style. The two corn tortillas are topped with a delicious green tomatillo sauce, melted jack cheese, sour cream, and onions. The accompanying beans and rice were also excellent they each had so much flavor. It was lively as we sat in the bar dining room. The music was fun, and we will definitely be back.
