Couldn't quite figure out why everyone is so crazy about this place. A friend brought me here to get coffee and a quick bite before heading on the road. I ordered a mocha, tuna melt, and a breakfast sandwich. The guy working there making coffee and making the food was not wearing a mask. It was also extremely warm inside and he was sweating. Made me a bit uncomfortable.I asked if he had hot sauce and he looked so irritated. He told me there was some around the corner. But because they were only offering to-go, I was confused how I would take any sauce with me since there were no containers... (unless I unwrapped my food and poured the sauce then wrapped it up again). So I asked him for a container and he seemed even more irritated at me. Sheesh...When I got my food, it looked so bland and tasted even worse. The egg in the sandwich was nothing like I've ever had before. It looked microwaved and the yolk was extremely overcooked. Just really dense and weird...Maybe some of the pastries are better tasting. I wouldn't care to come back.

Disappointed. Gentleman working got bent out of shape because I asked for two 8oz cappacinos to be served in one 16oz cup, being that they don't offer anything larger than 8oz when ordering that drink. Not sure what the big deal is, you just charge me double. I thought you were in business to make money, but apparently not. I even tipped and then after receiving my beverage, I kindly say, "thank you" and received no response. I then said, "have a great day" and still no response, no eye contact. I guess being nice these days is too much to ask from some people. SMH

We stopped by this cafe to grab a nitro cold brew and how do I even describe this... it's tastes sour like it's gone bad, maybe the tap hasn't been cleaned for a long time? It didn't taste like coffee, let alone a quality nitro cold brew we were hoping for. It's definitely gone sour. The color was not right either. It was indeed the worst coffee I have had in my life, all together. Just the nitro cold brew, we didn't order another coffee to know if they taste right.

We noticed this little cafe while on a pursuit for a king cake on Mardi Gras at a nearby large bakery. La Copa had breakfast and lunch available for a reasonable price, in a very quiet and unassuming atmosphere. We had a featured beansoup and pastrami sandwich with a latte. They offered ice water for patrons as well as cold bottled drinks, one could purchase. Their restroom facility was clean. Since we traveled from Gig Harbor to Ballard for the elusive "king cake" (taste of home), this little cafe hit the spot. I also took home some day old pastries, that they make themselves, and sell at a steal. If I lived in this neighborhood, I would go back more than once.

La copaIf you are in the area and don't stop here, you are missing out!!! A hidden gem in Ballard that you won't want to miss. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. The food is simply amazing, with a variety of dishes that are both flavorful and beautifully presented. From their coffee and pastries to their amazing sandwiches. The ingredients are always fresh and the portions are generous, so you'll definitely leave feeling satisfied. Excellent dining experience.

This place seemed so cute inside but it was hands down, the worst coffee of my life. The milk foam had the consistency of being stirred with a fork, the espresso roast was offensively bad and the shot was so poorly executed. The baristas barely acknowledged we were alive, even though I put forth the effort to engage. No clue how it has 4+ stars, won't be back.

This place has a very casual and unassuming vibe but make no mistake, this is coffee snob-tier coffee, which hasn't been a thing in this neighborhood for a while. They turned me onto True North beans which are also fantastic. I love you guys. Please don't go anywhere.
