There on a quiet Tuesday evening, only one other table seated when we arrived. First time here so we wanted to see the inside of the bar and have a drink before dinner. Hostess was less than friendly about it and also declined to allow us the view the outdoor area to look at the water. Our server was professional and friendly. He was hustling at least five tables alone by the time we were winding down. Decor inside was nautical and pleasing. We shared a shrimp cocktail, Hubs had vodka penne with prawns and I had crab cakes. All delightful. We took a walk along the boardwalk afterwards and saw plenty of people inside the bar area so not sure why the hostess was so grumpy and not letting us sit for a pre-dinner drink.

La Conner was jammed today what with the sun being out. We sat in the bar because of the one hour wait in the restaurant. My Prime Rib Dip and salad were excellent. Mrs. Billy D had Halibut and Chips. It looked good with generous center cut pieces of fish. Our bartender/server was excellent. She was hopping busy but we wanted for nothing. All in all we had a good visit.

Awesome! I had the crab cocktail and it was huge and fresh, sweet crab. I also had the 1/2 cioppinio and Caesar. The tomato broth was zesty with fennel and basil oil and loaded with clams, shrimp and fish. Had a fantastic real vanilla bean creme brulee that had that awesome crunch of the sugar top! Service was great and the view in the patio of the water and boats was fantastic. Thank you!

A girlfriend and I had been hiking up north and wanted to pop into town to walk around and get lunch. The staff here were the best and the outdoor seating that is dog friendly is also awesome.I had the cod sandwich and my friend had one of the sandwiches with chicken substitutes. Both of us liked our meals and the fries were extra crispy and delicious. Prices are in like with any other similar restaurant.

I'd originally planned on taking my wife here for dinner after visiting the tulip fields. Reservations for a table are suspended during the month of April, when the tourist flood reaches peak capacity, so I figured I'd walk in a couple hours ahead, get on the list, and return when it was time. Strangely enough, the place I'd opted to go for lunch had a 35 minute wait, but we were seated here at La Conner Seafood and Prime Rib House in less than 2 minutes. Fine with me! We even scored a fantastic, sunny patio table next to the water! From start to finish, our server was incredible. I get the feeling she was the owner or manager, as she casually mentioned, when inquired, that all the drinks on the cocktail menu were of her devising. Regardless, she was pleasant, professional, personable and punctual, and always attentive. I really should have noted her name.Between the two of us, my wife ordered the Dungeness crab cocktail (market price*), Seared sea scallops (market price*), the fish tacos for myself, a Mint Tulip (clever), and a Rosemary Old Fashioned. The crab cocktail was an unbelievable heap of crustacean and cocktail sauce, and it had better have been, as market price* for this appetizer ended up being around $46! I guess we should have asked what "market price" was for the day, in advance! Good thing it was delicious as hell! Similarly, the two thick-cut, savory, almost steak-like sea scallops came to around $23, a price which, again, is only justified by how incredible they were! Now the fish tacos, I have no complaint whatsoever: grilled, seasoned cod, pickled onions, slaw, and the addition of avocado (recommended by our server) made for a wonderful, filling lunch, that lasted me for the rest of the day! Good thing these weren't "market price" as well! As for the cocktails, my wife's Mint Tulip was tart, crisp and floral, while my Rosemary Old Fashioned nailed all the basics, with some herbal accentuation thrown in, which gave it a nice, earthy aroma and aftertaste, in keeping with the season.Overall, La Conner Seafood and Prime Rib House did everything right, from service to seating, ambiance, location, quality of food, barring our own mistake of not checking the prices of things ahead of time. The bill was a bit of a shock, and the onus is partially on us, although I'm sure they could be a bit more forthcoming with costs that are variable. Beyond that, I would absolutely dine here again on our next visit to La Conner.

We were visiting from CA and stopped in. Everything was delicious. Prime rib wasn't the best I've had (hence the 4 stars), as it was a bit tough, but flavor was still good :)

The food was so so and expensive. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful. Overall, don't come here.

Wonderful place. We liked the food very much, and we especially liked our server--the terrific and helpful, Mikayla. The rest of the staff we were helped by were also wonderful. We had the macadamia nut encrusted halibut and the half-Caesar salad and cioppino, all of which were very nice. We especially liked the cioppino which was very full of all kinds of seafood and not heavy on the broth. Mikayela also highly recommended the scallops. I love a luscious scallop! After a spell, another server came by with two serving plates of two very large scallops on each plate. He deposited one on plate on our table and then took the other elsewhere while I was nearly fainting! The price we were paying and only two scallops!? So be forewarned. My solution was to take small bites and concentrate--it was actually a good plan. I did end up enjoying my scallop immensely despite my initial shock of anything immense about the serving. It really was incredibly delicious.Very pleasant sitting at a table in the lounge. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Excitedly took my father for dinner on Friday, 06/14/24 and unfortunately our visit was disappointing start to finish. Our party of three was added to the wait list and gave my phone number to be alerted when a table was available. We were told the wait would be 45 minutes, I received a wait list text message at 6:32pm, so we strolled around at bit. At approximately 6:50pm I pulled up the link from the text message and it said "You are no longer on the waiting list."When I inquired at the check in booth the hostess attempted to explain there were two parties with the same name. My first name is very unique, so I find this extremely unlikely. I never received a text message to alert us our table was ready so it's obvious our table was given away and had I not checked the link we would have been passed over. The noticeably embarrassed hostess was able to seat us, however it was at least 10 minutes before the server stopped at our table. The lack of concern for the restaurant's appearance and overall atmosphere left much to be desired. The large table nearest the check in desk was being used to wrap silverware, it was piled with boxes. I was horrified when I watched the staff stack those same boxes against a half wall right next to the table and seat a couple there. Our server seemed very impatient and essentially insisted we order our appetizers and food all at once. We were never offered bread and butter. The scallops appetizer was carelessly dropped off by a male staff member. I assumed we'd be provided small plates but it seemed unnecessary since we were served two small and under cooked scallops for $19. We waited about 8 minutes hoping to ask our server or anyone else for plates and the bread every other table had. We gave up and awkwardly divided the two small scallops into three servings and embarrassingly passed the plate around. Later we received our dinner, the Chicken Alfredo looked as though it had been sitting under and heat lamp for 30 minutes. The prime rib, was bland and easily composed of 50% fat $46. I ordered the crab cakes $37 and found them to be extremely dry. 1/3rd of baked potato served with the prime rib was brown and inedible. The baked potato served with the dry crab cakes was just as tiny. Our bill came to approximately $150. So discouraging as I know this restaurant has a long history of being highly recommended. A little care and consideration would go along way. I will not return.
