La Central Bakery

The bread here is GIANT and incredibly affordable. You can't come here and not try the bolillos. They're the best ones I've ever had. Soft, with a nice crunch on the outside, and always freshly baked.They stay busy, but not so much where you have to wait too long. The hipsters haven't discovered it yet :)Note: they only take cash, but there's an ATM down the street.There is paid street parking in front, but if you try a few blocks down, you can find free parking.

One of the best Mexican bakeries in the area. No shortcuts taken with their bakes and it shows. The Bolillos and Conchas are excellent as are the cheese filled pastries. You really can't go wrong. Service is always good too. Just remember they only take cash. We stop by whenever we are In the area.

This was my first time in a Mexican panaderia and I was amazed!!!They had SO many options! The place smelled amazing. As soon as you enter, a lady gives you a tray and tong. It is a self-service style bakery. After you grab all you wanna buy, you take you tray to the cashier and she packs everything.I went to this place especially to get a Tres Leches to celebrate my birthday/mother's day. Im a BIG fan of Tres Leches so I get to try it in every place that I go where it is sold. Let me tell you that this place's Tres Leches is THE BOMB!!!! It is seriously amazing! The cake is HUGE and it cost me ~U$23!I also got to try their conchas. I never had this before and Id call it a sweet bread. It is nice to have it with coffee.Coming back for sure!

Soooooo much variety. But honestly, a lot of the baked goods are VERY similar in nature to one another, and that was a bit of a let down. But at extremely reasonable prices and a bunch of options to choose from - this place is quite a find. My other complaint is that there is almost nothing savory in this place, but still, a pretty darn good bakery!!!

I've tried conchas from different bakeries, I just moved to the neighborhood so I had to try this once. Let me say my mom loved them!!! It will turn in to my go to bakery!

Outstanding flavors and AMAZING pastries!!!! I was born in Mexico City and let me tell you that is the same taste and flavor as you were in Mexico City!!!! Try it, you will not be disappointed.

I bought this bread yesterday and all of them have metal pieces in them my dad ate one and chewed on something crunchy and didn't think much of it and he ate another one this morning and he spit it out and it was a metal piece and right now we inspected another one and it has a metal piece !!!! I wouldn't even trust going there now because how can the owner not replace equipment that is old and shredding metal! Be careful!!!Compré este pan ayer y todos tienen piezas de metal, mi padre se comió uno y masticó algo crujiente y no pensó mucho en él y se comió otro esta mañana y lo escupió y era una pieza de metal y ahora mismo inspeccionamos otra y tiene una pieza de metal !!!! Ni siquiera confiaría en ir allí ahora porque cómo no puede el propietario o trabajadores inspeccionar sus utensilios. Tengan mucho cuidado!!!!!

The cashier is always rude. She will give everyone a bag plastic bag for their purchase, but she won't give me one even after asking for one every single time. She'll then take the next customer and proceed to double bag their purchase. I feel it's because she's very discriminative/racist or hates young people. She will all of a sudden be nice when I come in with a visibly older, Spanish speaking person.

La verdad no le daria ni una estrella! compre una rosca y en lugar de encontrar un muñeco encontramos un pelo. Cuando llame el dueño ni me contestó y le dijo a la muchacha que me dijiera que ala mejor era un pelo de la brocha. Le dije que era un pelo y el le dijo que mejor fuera, cuando le pregunté a la muchacha si el iva a estar me dino que si, cuando llegue el no estab. otra muchacha le llamo para decirle y el le dijo que me dijiera que la rosca tenia que estar completa y que el pelo no venia de ellos. el pelo era negro y medio corto. Ni si quiera se disculparon, y mucho menos me regreso mi dinero. I wouldn't even give them a star the rosca I bought had a hair in it!! When I called about it the girl on the phone told me the owner said it could've been from the brush they use, I told her that was an actual hair. He told her to tell me to take it in and when I asked if je would be there she said yes. I get there and owner is obviously not even ther. the girl called him and he basically said the rosca had to be brought in whole and that none of the bakers had hair so it count have been from them. the hair was black and kinda short. He didn't even apologize let alone give me my money back.
