Incredible food and service. I recommend that you make time to come enjoy some of the delicious meals offered at Celia's as soon as possible. The restaurant's decor is very nice and adds to the whole experience. My wife and I had the La Celia with ropa vieja and the Huevos a la Cubana and both were mouth watering. Do yourself a favor and visit La Celia Latin Kitchen.

caveat: i'm cuban, so can be a little picky with the cuban food in chicago, so take that in consideration. cute space, festive with nice vibes. good service. just stopped in for a quick snack on my long bike ride. the menu seems to be a mix of mexican and cuban food, which is totally fine given we're in chicago after all! they were out of the batido de mamey (mamey shake) which was the main reason i stopped in tbh, so i ordered the mango shake which wasn't great. mango was pretty bland and likely not ripe yet -- it wasn't very sweet at all. and the shake as a whole was pretty watery/not thick enough. seems to not have condensed milk (typical of cuban shakes), so maybe it's more of a mexican licuado thing. the croquetas came out and were mostly broken on the ends, which isn't ideal cuz then the oil seeps in past the breading while frying. tasted almost a bit rancid, but when they break like that you get too much fry oil taste and they were a bit funky. maybe i'd come back to try the sandwiches (media noches are my fav) -- but not sure i'd risk it given the things i tried today. update: did not finish the food or the drink, the more i tasted it the worse it got. maybe others will like this more!the 12+ year search for good cuban food in chicago shall continue another day.

Great drinks as in juices and coffee. Food was good. We tried a couple of dishes. The beef empanada, the steak churrasco, pancakes and the Celia breakfast. Service was OK, looks like they only had two waiters but they were trying which is all that matters. This place has a great vibe. Great for brunch!

Such a cute and tasty gem on Milwaukee!I went here for brunch over the weekend and it was outstanding. I ordered La Celia, which is a plate of perfect homemade salsa with crispy tortillas filled with beans, eggs on top, sweet plantains, and a little bit of crema. Seriously it was perfection. Their coffee was great too and it was a rainy morning, no wait at all to get in. The staff were incredibly friendly and fast. The art on the walls and the overall environment was very beautiful but still laid back. I will be returning for other meals and bringing more folks with me! This is an incredible spot and I cannot wait to try more of their menu.

Local neighborhood spot, wanted to give it a try. Heads up... This is a BYOB. Having said that, they on that taco/tequila place across the street and can have drinks delivered. Cocktails and beer, no wine. We did have a beer and a white sangria brought to us which was handy. White sangria a little sweet for my taste but husband liked it.Quite a varied menu, almost too many things to choose from. We had a starter of ceviche which was absolutely fantastic! Just the right amount of seasonings and lots of yummy shrimp. Served with homemade tortilla chips. For main dishes my husband chose a sautéed chicken dish with many cloves of garlic on top. It was OK. I ordered the arroz con polo which was presented in a lovely metal pot that looked very homestyle. A little bland for my taste, but maybe that's how it is. Plenty for leftovers later. Really friendly staff. Nice outdoor seating.
