La Catedral Cafe & Restaurant

food was really good! wait time to be served was a bit long but yet again this place is busy for a reason! We joined the waitlist ahead of time and did not take anytime to be seated when it was our turn. Definitely recommend to join the waitlist instead of showing up. Place was cute and our servers were great. Definitely will be back and try more. A La Diabla Chilaquiles are spicyyyyyyyyyy but loved them!

SERVICE EXPERIENCE UPDATE; 12:42 pm we just finished our lunch and Jose (new server) took over our table after a long wait - Jose was warm and kind and took care of us and explained why it took long for our food to arrive. The reason given to us by Jose as to way our food food was very late (1 hour 15 m) was due to a kitchen miscommunication as well as someone in kitchen losing someone - our sympathies to them. FOOD: Although we waited long long. The Food was exceptionally delicious. It was our first time eating here and we just maybe had a bad luck of a situation that occurred in kitchen with our food but Jose did make up for it and gave us free Cathedral tumblers. PRE-POST EXPERIENCE:We arrived inside at 11:04 am We ordered at 11:07 am We were 4 of us. Get ready to wait an hour for your food bc I'm here still waiting with my sisters - luckily we talk a lot and our food still isn't here. Also save your seat on Open table app they will say 30 minutes but it's 45 minutes. I'll update more if we ever get our foodIt's been 15 minutes now - no food and we even ordered a guacamole as an appetizer and nothing so we asked for it let's see how long this lastIt's always packed and they need more servers.OVERALL:At the end they treated us extra kind and we were gifted with nice El Cathedral Shakers. We might give it another visit. Might. But we did enjoy the food overall l.

Food was amazing per usual! Our server was amazing! Offered many options, he was very attentive! They were also very accommodating with my current physical condition. I love coming here!

This place is amazing. Nice menu choices, nice staff, quick service, good music, and great tasting food. Was shocked to visit this place on a Wednesday morning and there was a wait, I consider myself fortunate, got in less than 5 minutes after arriving. The large coffee is legit ginormous. So, if coffee isn't really your thing, go with the regular, but all in all it was a great experience (even topped it off with an order of cookies) Can't wait to come back. Enjoy!!

Me and my husband have been coming to La Catedral Cafe and Restaurant for quite some time. We heard about it through word of mouth. They don't take reservations and are always packed. However, they have the waitlist app and it's highly recommended to put your name down to avoid waiting outside. There is a private parking lot for the restaurant around the corner. Make sure to let the lady know you are eating at La Catedral and show her your receipt on the way out. If its your first time, the decor/ ambiance have more of a religious theme that seems quite authentic to the culture. Its quite decorated and colorful inside.The waitstaff are always so nice and helpful with recommendations. It's also a family friendly restaurant where kids are welcome. They have hands down the best chilaquiles in the city. We have tried so many of the different sauces and usually do half and half of the diabla and chilaquiles rojos. My husband always orders the cafe de olla, which is a traditional coffee - really good with cinnamon spice flavors. He sometimes finds it a little on the sweater side so they do 1/2 regular coffee mixed with the cafe de olla. I always get a fresh juice, the exotica is my favorite. Finally to end, we always split the arroz con leech y fresas (rice pudding and strawberry crepes). These crepes are so thin and the fresh cream, strawberries and pudding inside is just the best combo for a sweet breakfast dish.

So my friend who lives in Chicago introduced me to this place and trust me on my next visit this place will be a must!!! It is Mexican breakfast / brunch and it's just fantastic so flavorful and the portions are great. There is a waitlist because people love this place, we put our name down before we drove out there and luckily we did bc we were on the waitlist for 2hrs, deff worth the wait but make sure you're not starving when you put yourself on the waitlist. When you are seated though the service is fantastic! Everything comes out super fast, even with an 8 person table. I had chilaquiles with red and green sauce!! THE BEST!! I can't quite remember what the frappe drink was called but literally so freaking amazing and the portions are so generous on everything.

Super busy restaurant but online ordering and pickup was quick. I had an iced coffee and the chilaquiles Torta. Coffee was tasty and the Torta was amazing and honestly enough for two meals. I added asada and avocado. Cool dining room. Parking can be tricky.

This place never disappoints. If you're in search of authentic Mexican food this is the place for you! The portions of the food are great and the food is chefs kiss highly recommend. The staff is also very nice and ready to help with recommendations. Also make sure if you are coming you come either with not a big starving appetite or put yourself on the waiting list quickly because sometimes it can be a heavy wait times but so WORTH IT! Enjoy!

Delicious food, el cafe de olla was some of the best coffee I've ever had. Service was great can't wait to come back.

Our host, Jose, was fantastic! He offered thorough descriptions of each dish that we asked about. He even gave us his own opinion. We followed his advice and we couldn't have loved our breakfast more! The cafe de olla and type of chilaquiles he suggested were everything we didn't know we wanted. Amazing service, Jose. Thank you for your patience, we are excited to come back!
