I have been getting takeout for lunch here for a couple of decades. The people are always friendly and efficient. There are rarely any errors with the orders. The food is probably better than 75% of Mexican food restaurants. It is always hot and fresh. The pricing is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The facility is clean on the inside, but there is a nagging pigeon issue outside that they can't seem to fix.My favorite dish is red chili pork. It brings the heat and pairs well with beans and cheese.

Great food. Best red and green chili breakfast and the beans are awesome too. A must visit for very good Mexican food

Great restaurant within walking distance of the AZ State Capitol.Since it is legislative season, I have now been here twice and both times have been excellent.I love tamales and they offer up a few different kinds. I like the corn one. Portion is small, so if you are hungry, might need 2 or 3. I also saw they offer a jackfruit vegetarian tamale. I will try that at some point, as I'll be back soon, I am sure.Complimentary chips and salsa for the table.They also have churros, which is a rare treat for me, and I had one when I was here yesterday, and it was good! They cut it up for you so easy to share with others.Outdoor and indoor seating available. Soda fountain allows you to have more free refills.Place closes at 2 pm, so make sure to get there before then.Staff are nice and helpful.

Large menu with pretty good food. I liked the beans and rice, they were good. The green Chile could have a few more chilies but it was good. Staff is fast and handle lines very quickly.

An absolutely delicious traditional Mexican meal! Celebrating national burrito day and figured we would come to our favorite family owned Mexican restaurant. Walked in the door and was greeted right away. Place was packed inside and out which was great to see. Decor is nice and the service was great. Food was outstanding as always so we ended up getting more to take home with us for dinner. If you are near the capital you have to come here and eat. I know we will definitely be back.

My favorite meal is Bean & cheese burrito red enchilada style. Green corn tamale!! With a red cream soda! Lol My kids love their fluffy delicious pancakes.Staff is very friendly and restaurant is kept up very well. We eat here at least 3-4 times a month .

Food was delicious! We ordered burritos, beef tacos and bean tostada. Came with chips and salsa too!

The menudo is basically a bowl of Hominy no actual menudo.... For the price no good... the restaurant is really nice tho

Freddie (mngr) is very rude! A gentleman sat at a table waiting for his order to be taken, clearly didn't understand you order up front and they bring your food. The man said "well I'm already at a table?" Freddie responded with "THIS IS MY HOUSE AND IM TELLING YOU HOW ITS GONNA BE!" The man then got up to go order. There's absolutely no need to talk to any human being like this, especially when they are purchasing your food. Freddie clearly needs a lesson in kindness! Oh and the Food was bland! So is it really worth going, you decide.

It's been a few years since my last visit. The breakfast burritos are still delis and same goes with the salsa. What surprise me was the size of the burrito and cost. Yes, Biden-economics has hit La Canasta! Will go back and try a dinner and see where that has changed.The young man working at the counter in the early morning was courteous!
