Simply the best place for you to get French pastries and bread in all of the valley, and really all of Arizona. This bakery is a cute and quaint little spot with offerings that rotate weekly. I recommend placing your order online for pick up to guarantee the items you want otherwise they may run out of their popular items by mid morning!Service is wonderful as the French-Swiss chef and owner Nathas is as sweet as his pastries. Happy to answer any questions and make recommendations if you are overwhelmed by all the tasty looking options. You can really feel his passion, skill, and love for baking in his products! My favorites are anything almond, so I recommend those...but you can't go wrong with anything honestly. They are buttery, flaky, and sweetened to perfection (not too sweet though!). High quality stuff.

The most authentic baguette in the area!I pre-order a couple of baguettes and assorted pastries for Saturday pickup, usually weekly. It's a bonus to be served from the baker, Nathas.I used to laugh at movie scenes of the French carrying baguettes while walking down the boulevard or on bicycles until I saw it w my own eyes in France... now I'm doing the same!Life is too short to eat bread with more than four ingredients (French Bread Law).

So I live a full 30 minutes away from La Belle Vie and 5 min away from another very well known French bakery in Central Phoenix, and I will make the drive to Scottsdale for Nathas's gems any day that I can do it! Nathas, the owner, is SO passionate about his craft and you see it in everything he makes. He loves his customers and has such a fun sense of humor as well! The bakery is now open Tuesdays through Saturdays and pre-orders are taken for Saturday pickups, for those of us that are organized! My favorites include butter croissants (perfectly crispy and flaky outside and soft inside), almond croissants (dipped in sugar rum syrup and twice baked), chocolate almond croissants (same process as above), caneles (baked with a dark, caramelized crunchy crust and soft, almost gooey middle: they're extraordinary), baguettes (2 types, depending on the kind of crust you want), filled "rhino" croissants with seasonal flavors (our favorite is lemon basil). The list just goes on, but honestly, everything in this shop delectable! You can't go wrong! The space is bright and clean. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. If you're lucky, Nathas will be in the day you visit! Besides his viennoiserie, the bakery also offers many imported German pantry staples that everyone should browse and try!

I've always been "ho hum" on croissants, having lived most of my life in the Southwest. That changed on a trip to France, where I experienced a "real" French croissant for the first time. I suddenly learned what all of the fuss was about, and I miss those croissants dearly. One bite into a La Belle Vie Bakery's chocolate croissant took me right back to France. These are the real deal! They are light, airy, and buttery with the perfect amount of dark, slightly bitter, chocolate. Literally, heaven on earth.La Belle Vie Bakery will be a regular stop from now on.

Holy cow if you are looking for something amazing, this place has many options. They make high quality French pastries and breads by order. We tried a few items and were completely blown away by the fantastic textures and flavors. The service is top notch and it's a clean and simple little shop.

Once I entered this bakery, I could smell the freshly baked goods. No line and the displays are so neat and clean. I usually got a few items at a time, which is really hard to decide because they all look yummy.Bugnons almond is so delicious. Deliciously moist almond paste in the puff pastry is the best combo. I need more! It is so addictive.I like Kouign Amann wild blueberry more than the apricot one. I am curious to try other fruits in Kouign Amann.

I love Nathas and his amazing Bread, croissants, kouign amanns', rhinos, damn near everything to be honest. There's really nothing that he's made that I did not thoroughly enjoy. I literally dream of some of the croissants and the twice baked croissant pops are out of this world good. I seriously cannot wait to get my hands on more. I live probably 25-30 min from this location and 15 min from the farmers market and do not care that's it's not close. Because it's really that worth it. The one huge perk about this Particular location is you can get savory items. I'm hoping/praying/crossing my fingers that some day they can potentially make it to the farmers market. But if not I'll eventually make it over there for the ham and cheese croissants. Obviously this person who gave the low review doesn't go on a regular basis because if you are a regular for years and years like myself the low star is not accurate of what Nathas is capable and deserving of. At all.Take it from someone like me who gets up at the crack of dawn to sit and wait 30ish min to an hour prior to the farmers market opening to wait for these delicious treats.
