I really wanted to like this place as it's 6min from where I live. Sadly, the reports about the food no longer being made with love...are true. Anyone who actually gave this place 5 stars either hasn't had good thai food, or they're the elite guests who are actually being served appetizing dishes. Because my meal was a pure disappointment. Instead of going home after a quick, solid bite, to finish my work--I'm spending the afternoon ruminating on what the scandalous story could be with this place...because the way things are going, it's barreling towards ruin. The ambiance is the only nice thing; soft classy music and nice booths with privacy. That's where it ends. What I ordered:Pad thai with tofu & veggies $9.95:It took the kitchen 15-20min to make this when it was a SLOW lunch time 130ish. And it was a mere fistful of noodles!!! I was kind of shocked. There were several big white stem pieces of cabbage (the parts that are too hard to eat), 4 pieces of tofu, 1 single piece each of carrot, squash, string bean, broccoli, like wtf seriously? It's like they decided 1 pc of each veggie was all your getting. I know this place says "organic" but that's no excuse to skimp on the veggies SO MUCH you're only giving out 1 single string bean in a dish. LOL. Either it didn't take long for me to finish like 5 forkfuls of food, or it just took that long but my waitress only came by AFTER I was done and asked how it was. I looked her straight in the eye, gave her a disappointed look and said, I'm still hungry. She didn't seem to care, just said, "Still hungry? If you want something else just lmk!" And ran off and didn't return for a while. If your customer just finished their meal and stated they're still hungry--doesn't that kind of tell you something's off?!So I tried to give them a chance, thinking maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I didn't want to judge based on one dish. So I tried:Tom Kha soup $5.95: Same disappointment ensued: 1 pc of friggin white button mushroom, 1 pc of broccoli, 2 pcs of string bean (wasn't even cooked, or cut, just seemed like it was tossed in, plus it was blemished!), 2 pcs cucumber half slices, 3 cabbage stem parts (again) and they even skimped on the tofu, giving me plain white cubes instead of fried tofu. On top of that they "garnished" it with a pc of limp, brown cilantro. I felt insulted at this point. I told my waitress and she got the manager. She faulted me for not telling them sooner, but it's not like this was invisible to either of them when it was brought out on the plates. The mgr was the one who brought out the soup to me...the offensive cilantro was floating limply on top in front of her face. She asked me "what do you want me to do"? Who does that?! If your customer got nasty old/uncooked/uncut veggies in a soup the ONLY right thing to do would be to comp it. I looked at her and said it's up to you. She said I'll take 15% off the soup, which was 89cents. Gee thanks. I can only try to imagine what WILD story is going on with this place. Did the owner slight someone in the kitchen because someone in there is not happy with their job...each dish that came out was like a middle finger to management, lol.Never coming again unless I feel like being ripped off and taunted for lunch. Smyrna needs higher standards for food, if this is what people have settled for--we're in trouble.

Nice ambiance, good service and great location. We dined here with family while visiting the area. The food was pretty good, although I'm a little spoiled coming from California where we have amazing Asian food.

I can't believe this was our first visit to L'Thai when we live mere minutes away. The restaurant is located a few blocks deep in the West Village complex, with some street parking and free covered parking just around the corner from the restaurant. Inside, the space was quiet and even serene when we arrived on a Sunday afternoon. I was surprised to see that the fried calamari was listed as gluten-free on the menu, since most breaded seafood isn't. While tasty, the batter was a little crumbly and my husband, who prefers his calamari on the smaller side, was a little weirded out by what he called "the big, juicy squid rings". The serving size was less than what we would have preferred, but given the price, it's all right as a starter. Our entrees were where L'Thai shined. The husband's pad woon sen was tasty - hot, well-seasoned glass noodles with good hunks of chicken throughout. While his dish was great, we both agreed my order of the yellow crispy chicken reigned supreme at the table - a crispy filet of chicken breast atop a fragrant, vegetable-specked puddle of yellow curry. The fresh (gluten-free) coating stayed crisp as I dragged happy spoonfuls of rice through the sauce until every last drop was consumed. As an added plus, our meal ended up being far cheaper than we expected it would. The menus don't currently have prices because the owners are in the midst of reprinting them. Our server offered to let us know exact prices if we needed, but we decided this would be a fun guessing exercise. When we got the check, our jaws dropped at how economical our meal had been, especially given the taste and the sublime service we'd received. Side note: There's a funny dress code here of no gym shorts or sports wear. I haven't seen it enforced, but there's clear signage out front and figured you should know if visiting.

I had an odd experience here- I ordered on their website and picked up in store. When I got there, I was handed a check with a frowning face pointing to my $0 tip. I wonder what they did to our food...

This restaurant was absolutely excellent! I think I've found my new fav Thai restaurant in Atlanta!! The Salad Kaek was wonderful - just love the peanut dressing. Also the chicken satay was great. Attaching a pic of the Panang curry with tofu!! Lots of beer and wine options. Definitely check them out!

I've tried this place 3 times now because it's so close to my home but it just doesn't impress for the price. Dined in twice and service was terrible - they only have 2 waiters working and food took forever to come out. The food all times has not been good either. I've tried pad Thai, pad see yew, and coconut soup and it just all tasted a little weird to me. Husband tried it once via takeout and has never tried it again since because he didn't like the food either and he's a huge Thai fan. The ambiance is nice, but between the unimpressive food, poor service, and high prices, it's just not worth it to me.

Absolutely love! We need more places like this. Do not be turned off by their location. Their photos online do not do it justice. The service is delightful and the food is even better. Why aren't all of the restaurants organic? There is heart here! I came here on Valentine's Day after a long day of work. Thank you for serving me. I love the fountains and trees inside.

L 'Thai is a gem! Nui and Kyoko are the sweetest ladies and give exceptional service. I've never been disappointed in *anything* I've tried here. Lately it's been fun to ask Nui to surprise me with the meal choice. The food is always a work of art, organic, no MSG, no GMO and gluten free! I feel safe to eat here with dietary restrictions. The atmosphere is intimate with light piano music, at a very convenient location in Smyrna. Give this place a try! You WON'T be disappointed!
