Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse

Awesome a phenomenal time at Kyoto! Super fun for all ages and so much food to be eaten!! We ordered steak & shrimp with a side of scallops and steak, lobster, chicken combo!! Everything is just so flavorful and delicious!!

I've been haunted by my memory from eating here months ago. I've let it stew, but here I am to drop a 1 star review. Let me paint a picture. I'm a father of 5 with 3 under 3 at the time. Going out to eat is a milestone. Horrible across the board; service, appearance, food, show, flair, presentation, pride, comfort, lighting...maybe covered everything that was bad, but it was a hurricane of every negative restaurant experience wrapped into one. Gordon Ramsey would have imploded if he had the same experience. Hibachi is fun, it's a fun experience to share with your kids. I'm going to put this bluntly. It was the worst restaurant experience in my entire life. If you are really craving a hibachi adventure and you live North of Seattle, believe me, save your money and time. Avoid this place.

Price - Overpriced. Been to much better hibachi places with better quality food.Staff - Chef was new and really didn't do a great job at the entertainment part which is something we were looking forward to. Worse, he served me shrimp and I am allergic to it. Wasn't my order but just tossed it in my plate without asking me!!!!Waitress was not at all polite and not at all accommodating for toddlers.Cleanliness - very poor. They served us an unclean glass with red lipstick mark on it. On asking the waitress, she didn't seem to realize or even apologize for serving us that.

Went for a friend's birthday. First and last time we will go here. Way overpriced for the quality and quantity of what is served. $8 for a handful of mushrooms? $5 upcharge for fried rice as well as $5 upcharge for 2 kids in our party to split an order. The portions on the salad were miniscule, and the soup is tasteless broth with a couple of green onions and a sliver of a mushroom. All that for $120 total for my wife and I.

I love this place so much! Though it is expensive, you definitely get your moneys worth. Pro tip, make a reservation before you go because it does get busy.

HEED MY WARNING! We went here for my daughter's 8th birthday. We're military so we move a LOT. It's a tradition for us to go to hibachi for birthdays and we've tasted hibachi from San Diego to Newport Rhode Island. This was BY FAR the worst hibachi I've ever experienced and I felt so bad for my birthday girl. Let me break it down from start to finish. I made reservations for 530. We get there 10 minutes early and they sit us down. We waited around for 15 minutes for the drink order and this waitress had the audacity to question my morals when I ordered an alcoholic beverage because I was with my kids. She told me only one since I had kids with me. Mind you I have a whole husband right next to me. Ok ok whatever, the drink was weak and tasted like cheap mixers. Next course, salad and soup. How could a place like this messUp salad and soup? The ginger dressing on the salad tasted AWFUL! Normally it's that sweet tasty ginger dressing but this stuff tasted like an unripe tomato ground up and slapped onto lettuce. The soup wasn't as bad but still not great. It tasted like microwave ramen broth not miso at all. I ordered filet and my son ordered shrimp. The shrimp tasted very off. They don't have a noodle option, just white rice or fried rice with an up charge. The veggies....it's literally only onion and squash. There was no broccoli or carrot like I've had at every other hibachi I've been to. My steak was chewy and had no flavor. The yum yum sauce was so watered down and the other sauce was just blah. Our bill was INSANELY expensive for what we got. I will never go back here and wish someone would have wrote a review like this before we went and wasted our money here.

The way they cook and entertain is perfect. I don't know how they do it but when they do the eggs and add it to the rice is great. Their steak (Medium rare) Is just perfect. The service, and Ambiance is also a great thing to consider.Try it for yourself.

Food is amazing as always. This is one of our favorite places to eat. Get the fried rice and the ginger dressing. I wish they had noodles on the dinner menu and not just lunch. Shirley temples here are THE BEST.

Resturant was busy, but service was good and quick. Food was standard hibachi fare. People were having a good time. Plenty of prom goers were there. Good for birthday parties.

We almost didn't go here based on the negative reviews and we are grateful we tried it for ourselves. The three of us had a great time and the food quality was great. It was comparable to my guests favorite places around the area. The cost is right on par. We will be back for a north end Japanese Steakhouse experience.
