Breakfast sandwich. Egg, cheese, and Sriracha sauce on grilled ciabatta bread. Optional: add sausage, bacon, deli-sliced turkey, spiral-cut ham, spinach, onion, tomato for an additional charge.
Baked oatmeal finished with sweet cream and brown sugar. Add fresh berries for an additional charge.
Made your way with salt, pepper, and butter, brown sugar and butter, or cheese.

2 thick-cut slices of grilled French toast topped with powdered sugar (syrup optional).
Turkey, bacon, and Swiss toasted on ciabatta with pickle, spinach, and big payback sauce.
Panini pressed ham on marble rye with cheddar, onion, spinach and sauce.
House made tuna with spinach on a grilled wheat roll.
Barbeque chicken salad on spinach wrap with Swiss and spinach.
Ham, turkey, Swiss cheese and citrus kale greens on a hoagie roll.
Spinach wrap with hummus, house kale salad, tomatoes, onions, and feta cheese.
Our house jerk chicken on a bed of red cabbage with our house jerk sauce on a spinach tortilla wrap.
Fresh roasted and expertly brewed.
Loose-leaf adagio; choose from blood orange (herbal), peppermint (herbal), gunpowder green, green Mandarin, Ceylon (black), earl grey (black and flowery), or chamomile.
Freshly extracted espresso and steamed milk. Order with caramel, vanilla, or hazelnut for a perfectly sweet finish for an additional charge. Substitute milk for an additional charge.

Street parking. Customer-made and recycled wood furniture, only one bathroom stall. Service always good, coffee and food even better. Absolutely the best oatmeal you'll find in Chicago. Wonderful community gem, could use later hours of operation. I'd recommend covering the wooden tables with glass.

Stopped in to Kusanya Cafe today for the first time and it is INCREDIBLE. The caramel frappe was delicious and the sandwich was great as well. The atmosphere and vibe are really chill and laid back. What a gem! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

So I came here once before with my mom. I was looking for a breakfast spot while attending another meeting in the area. I noticed this spot again and my Yelp friend Char had been! So I came back. Same spot, unique to other coffee joints. Loved the fact the mgr had two young black men cooking prepping and working the register.. .YES! Whole nother discussion which this platform is not for. HOWEVER, loved the fact that he was training them. Noticed how when I walked in, he coached them to "get to work" lololol......I commend that gentleman...On to the food and ambiance. I concur the vibe is soooo laid back .....love the afrocentric setup.... eclectic, rustic, worn, pieced, so our culture.....that egg sandwich was FIRE.....lots of good egg sandwiches me....however this has a siracha sauce that lights up the other components of the sandwich....The latte was spot on.......ohhhhh man I love coffee... definitely will be back
