Brookline always good for some tasty eats.We wanted to try KFK out after seeing a bunch of reels and shorts.Must say they do keep their sku's down as the proteins are the same and you can choose what style to get them in. Beef chicken shrimp- stir fry- soup / spicy soup- hand pull noodles or ramen noodz- shanghai pan fried buns- soup noodles of all types pork, pork + crab, chicken, veggie- taro puffs - wanton soupWe tried a little bit of everything. The spicy broth beef soup was yummy, good flavor (not that spicy) with hand pulled noodz for sure! The beef they use is similar to many viet dishes I've had and it's really tender.I really enjoyed the scallion pancake wrapped beef. Stellar on that one, nice crunch flakey and i could eat this as a meal by itself haha. The Shanghai pan fried buns are very filling, def enjoyed each bite, poured some the vinegar / soy sauce for the soup dumplings in after a bite open. The soup dumplings were standard size, filling and the wrapping they used kept the soup inside well without breaking. That's much appreciated. The wontons were FILLED and stuffed with pork and shrimp. Most places usually have tiny wantons with very little fillings. This spot makes sure you feel like you got your moneys worth !Staff was efficient and nice, space was clean, ambiance was bright on the day we went it was bustling.

Came here as a group of four on a Sunday right at opening time and we're glad we did, because it filled up and there was a huge line of people an hour later. The space is large and bright, and the servers are friendly and attentive. Between the four of us we got the scallion pancakes with beef slices, Shanghai pan-fried buns, the house special stir fried noodles, two servings of pork soup dumplings, and taro puffs. In my opinion the texture of the pan-fried buns could've been better. I usually expect a crispy bottom, but the bottoms were softer than I would've liked. The scallion pancakes with beef also could've had more filling in them. The taro puffs were definitely the surprise hit. I really enjoyed the flaky pastry outside and the mochi-like filling. Overall the flavors of everything were good.I might consider coming back once the hype dies down, but for now I'd stick to my usual spots.

Ordered takeout from Kung Fu Kitchen, and it did not disappoint! The soup dumplings, hand-cut beef noodles, and Shanghai pan-fried pork buns were all spot-on, bursting with flavor and that homemade feel. Definitely some of the best Chinese comfort food I've had in a while.Odd as it sounds, the takeout packaging deserves a shoutout--really well done! It kept everything intact, warm, and ready to devour. The restaurant seemed well laid out too, but they were struggling a bit with the crowd. Here's hoping they improve on handling the traffic because, with food this good, I can see it only getting busier. Highly recommend giving it a try, especially if you're a fan of well-crafted, flavorful Chinese dishes!

Came here on a Sunday night around 6pm and as figured, there was a short waitlist. You can join the waitlist online so I'll end up doing that in the future.Overall, the food was good. We ordered the pork xiao long bao, beef hand cut stir fry noodles, shanghai pan fried pork buns and taro puffs. The beef hand cut stir fry noodles were my favorite and the taro puffs were a close second. They had just the right amount of flakiness and sweetness. The pan fried pork buns were a miss for me. A bit on the bland side but the buns itself were perfect! Xiao long bao was good but not the best, also a bit on the bland side.I also got the lychee smoothie which was excellent and highly recommend.FOOD: 8.5SERVICE: 8.5Recommendation: Utilize the Yelp waitlist to avoid waiting for a long period of time.

This new place opened up from New York. I love soup dumplings and this place did not miss. The place is modern and lit up. The way they arranged their seating is interesting. The soup in the dumplings was piping hot when it came out and the flavor was clean and fresh. The pan-fried buns were perfectly crisp and filled with meat and some soup. The spicy beef noodle soup is also a must-get. The food does take a little bit to come out but I think they make it fresh which I prefer. We came around 6 pm on a Saturday and by the time we left (7 pm), there was quite a wait by the door.

IYKYKOne of best places to get Chinese style dumplings and noodles. My favorite was the Shanghai Pan-Fried Pork Buns. They were super tasty, pillowy, and a good balance of buns to filling ratio.Of course you'll need to try out their XLB (Xiao Long Bao) (aka soup dumplings). I didn't try the chicken flavor one but they should be all good. And until DTF comes to Boston, these are probably the best in town so far.Prices of this review are $11.95 for pork, $13.95 for crab & pork, $11.95 for chicken. Of course if you order from delivery service like Uber Eats, the prices are typically higher.Hope to come back soon as there are many more dishes to try. Also, bonus if you're a millennial who grew up with Chinese pop music. The playlist is full of nostalgia and fun vibes.

Came on a weekday during their soft opening and there was a bit of a wait but the line moved quickly. It was also so popular for a place that hasn't opened officially yet! We had to wait for a bit for the food but I'm sure it was because it was busy and they're just getting a hang of the food. We got the soup dumpling, Peking duck buns and noodles. I highly recommend the Peking duck buns as it was delicious. I would come back again to try the rest of their menu!

Kung Fu Kitchen is a new addition to Brookline's food scene. We decided to try their food out today and everything was great! It was pretty busy on a Sunday, as expected, and we only had to wait a few minutes for a table to be ready. We started off with the mango smoothie & scallion pancake with beef slices. Mango smoothie was more like just a sushie. I really enjoyed the scallion pancake w/ beef; it's not like the typical scallion pancake roll & was actually pretty crispy + flaky. We also tried the crab meat + pork XLBs, spicy beef hand cut noodle soup, & the pork + shrimp wonton soup. The XLBs were nice & hot + juicy! dumpling skin is thick enough so there was no leaking ;) The spicy beef with hand cut noodles was delicious. Noodles had a great chew to them & found this dish to be super enjoyable. The pork & shrimp wonton soup was tasty, as well. Dumplings were HUGE. We added a couple spoonfuls of hot chili oil and it was perfect. The Shanghai pan fried pork buns were probably my favorite from all the dishes we tried today. Super juicy & great flavor. Highly recommend checking Kung Fu Kitchen out!

Given Kung Fu Kitchen's pedigree, I think I expected a bit more. The dumpling and xiao long bao were both perfectly serviceable. If you're craving dumplings or XLB, they'll both do the trick but nothing you'll be racing to get anytime soon. The chicken soup with the hand cut noodles were BLAND. Desperately needed more flavor.

Kung Fu Kitchen is a treat! We tried a lot of the menu, which isn't too expansive, but everything was really well done. The soup dumplings are large and juicy. The desserts are not too sweet. Our group was particularly impressed by the pumpkin mochi dessert (and ordered another serving of it) and the beef scallion pancakes. The only minor thing is that there is only one vegetable dish. Finally, the space is bright, modern, and spacious.
