We just had a wonderful experience at KR SteakBar. Here are the details:Service (A+) - Extremely friendly and attentive. Our server, Kelsi, was superbAppetizer: Wagyu Carpaccio (B+) - Good but I've had betterAppetizer: Arancini (A) - A real winner. The bacon and smoked mozzarella worked so well with the caramelized onions and sweet corn pureePasta: Maltagliati (B-) - Just ok. Nothing special.Pasta: Agnolotti (A) - Excellent. Very flavorful, and the accompanying pork was very goodSteak: 30oz Cowboy Ribeye (A) - Very juicy and tender. We loved itSides: Yaya's Eggplant Fries (A+) - How surprising! Who would've thought that powdered sugar covered eggplant fries, dipped in hot sauce, made sense. Delectable!Dessert: Classic Tiramisu (A++++++++) - The best tiramisu I've ever tried! And I've been to Italy many times, but nothing I've ever had beats this amazing tiramisuDessert: Brown Sugar Cheesecake (A+) - Oh so decadent... Before tipping, we spent $311 on a meal for three (2 appetizers, 3 entrées, 1 side, 2 desserts, 1 mocktail, no alcohol, only water). Will be returning for sure!

Had a good dinner here for my husbands birthday. Unfortunately they didn't do anything for this birthday. But the meal was good overall. We really like the vodka sauce pasta and the lamb shank tortellini was super unique. Great drink menu too. It was too hot to sit outdoors when we went but the patio looked so cute. Seemed like valet parking only

What an absolute 5-star dining experience! I went with a group of three others, and we sat in the dark, moody speakeasy part of the restaurant. It was a charming atmosphere, and the service was incredible. We decided to go with the Chef's Tasting option, which is $95/person. Our friends had done this before and assured us it was a great value, and it really was. You tell the waitstaff if you have any allergies or food aversions, and they create a menu just for you. It's 5 courses, and very filling - we had leftovers. The tasting began with a charcuterie board with a couple cheeses, nuts and a few meats. The next course was appetizers, and included Burrata, Romaine salad, Pork Belly, and Seared Tuna. The Pork Belly was my favorite, and the salad was also excellent. Course three was the pasta course, and they brought us Angel Hair and Tonnarelli (one of my friends is pescatarian, so they erred on the side of meatless for several dishes). Both were great, but I especially loved the flavorful Angel Hair, with pieces of lobster and crunchy breadcrumbs. For the fourth course, we had Spinalis (their specialty steak - OMG this was incredible... so much flavor, perfectly cooked), Scallops (also great), Salmon, Pan Roasted Chicken (well-cooked but forgettable), Brussels Sprouts (very cripsy), and Polenta (super rich). Dessert was cheesecake with apple pie sauce and green apple ice cream, and Tiramasu. I could have done without both desserts (they were good, but I'm a chocolate dessert girl), but that may have also been because I was so full by that time. If I were to just come back and order off the menu, I'd go with either the Angel Hair pasta or Spinalis. Amazing. What a great fine dining experience.

KR is part of the Ford Fry group, the bar scene is always alive. It is a Steakhouse, however, we get the Chicken dish with Calabrian chili. Our server was there and from NYC, so we had a lot in common. KR is on a nice quiet street with valet service.

The Spinalis steak was very flavorful and made to perfection, I believe it is the best steak on the menu. The Tonnarelli pasta was good but a little too salty. Didn't care too much for the drinks, I had 2 of the cocktail options off the menu.

KR Steakbar has become a go-to when we're in Atlanta. The food is simply on another level. We opted for the Chef's Selection with wine pairings and our whole meal from the delectable food to impeccable service was extraordinary.

My fraternal twin brother and I celebrate the anniversary date of the surgery when I donated a kidney to him. KR Steakbar was our 5 year anniversary.I ordered the spinalis steak. I was soo good that I am reliving the experience again as I write this review. There is no other steak as good as this. There is no other cut of beef to compare it to. It's the Shohei Ohtani of steak. It's in a league all its own. There are ribeyes, filets, NY strip, etc. They are distant runners' up in the beef race. They are bronze medal winners and should not be standing on the podium with spinalis. They are parental disappointments in the beef sibling rivalry. They are the 16 year old dented, silver Kia Sportage compared to the custom ordered just for you, just rolled off the assembly line with the new car smell, the Rolls Royce of beef, the spinalis. Those cuts of beef are a toothache, the mother-in-law, the end of Christmas break, "the damp, drizzly November in my soul" [Moby Dick], the realization that Mom and Dad play favorites and you're not it; and in fact, the realization that MomnDad are the tooth fairy (dirty rotten liars); the girl you have a crush on doesn't like you, the delayed flight because the pilot is sick, the lost luggage of beef, the slices that the cows are ashamed of, the flat tire on the way to the emergency room, the bait and switch when it seemed to be good to be true and it was. They're the Christmas day when you didn't get the BB gun to shoot your eye out, a birthday party where no one showed up (bastards, but I'm not resentful); they're ones who let the dogs out, the black on the roulette table where you put all your life's savings on red, the all F's on your report card, the bully who stole your paper route money. These beefs are a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. and finally, to put a fine bow on it, the Donald Trump of beef when you saw off a piece, put it in your mouth, and discover an orange hair.On the other hand spinalis is the Mt. Everest of meat, pinnacle of millions of years of evolution of beef, meat's best kept secret, the Alpha and Omega of meat, the Hallmark movie where girl gets boy, the Fields Medal, MacArthur Grant, and Nobel Prize, the end of the quest you've been on, the puppy you got when you were a kid, the winning lottery ticket, the Light in August, the fast lane in a traffic jam, the upgrade to first class, inclusion into the inner sanctum, the Harvard acceptance letter, the Navy SEAL Team 6 and Delta Force, the Monday you wake up and realize you have a 3 day weekend of beef, the beef that will make a vegetarian switch sides, the beef that touches places in your brain you never knew you had, the 10 pounds you've been trying to lose before your high school reunion and succeed, the idol you'd worship if it weren't for the 2nd Commandment, the Playboy your parents bought when you were 14 because you 'liked the articles' and the $.50 you made each time you loaned it to your philistine, thick-browed Cro Magnon friends.I also write college recommendations for your high school seniors.

Today I sat at the bar and had the pork belly ( a little too fatty), 10oz ribeye Pittsburgh style and Caesar with extra anchovies. Everything was delicious, the bartenders were attentive and kind. The location is beautiful decorated with a garden of flowers at the walkway. This is my second time being here but not my last. I also had the Busta Rhymes cocktail.
