Every single time I visit this establishment, I am pleased. Coming in the door being greeted with a beautiful smile and served the most delicious wheat pastrami sandwich on earth! I love her service and easy online payment options too. I look forward to going back very soon!

Finally got a chance to go here on Saturday afternoon. I saw a snipit of the owner on some tv station a while back talking about the business and the sandwiches "looked" so good I immediately bookmarked as a must visit. It is in a strip mall to the right of Fairplay Grocer. I went online before visiting to view the menu and "assumed" I was looking at the catering menu because there was no way a hoagie was $12.99. The place was empty so i had no problem placing my order for the original footlong that was $15.35 ( no I did not add any extras). Totally NOT impressed. I wanted to support black business. I did and will NOT be back again. TOO much bread, over Oily and NOT enough meat for the price. It wasn't like it was high quality meat. I warned you but judge for yourself. I'll stick with the Hoagie Place in Chi on Halsted.

Heard MANY GREAT praise about this deli via word of mouth! Ordered three six inch Cajun turkey breast and white turkey breast w/ everything on it!

LATE REVIEW- Never got to taste the food, but the service over the phone was poor. I called at opening time to order but was rudely told that they weren't taking orders until 2 and then, at 2, I could only order online. I've never known a business to have hours of operation but only take orders 2 hours AFTER they open. Nonetheless, the attitude and tone of the person who answered the phone was curt and unprofessional to the point that I've never tried to order again. I hear the food is good, but if customer service is your thing, this may not be the restaurant for you. Good luck!UPDATED AGAIN (bc the owner keeps changing her response): The owner removed her lengthy and snarky reply from last night to only now say that she won't stoop to my level. Interesting switch up. Nonetheless, I SAID WHAT I SAID! If a customer expressing their disappointment with your business makes them angry to you, That's your personal issue with deciphering anger and constructive criticism. Now you, have a great day making your delicious sandwiches for customers who don't mind your poor service :)UPDATE: As you can see by the owners reply, the unprofessionalism I experienced over the phone is not fabricated. And just in case she sees this as well, I will say again, whoever answered the phone was CURT AND UNPROFESSIONAL just like your response here. Calling a place and not being able to pick up your food for 3 hours is ridiculous no matter what you have going on. Perhaps a team to take orders at the moment and a team to handle online orders could help. I'm not sure what the answer is but I can assure you that had your phone handler been a bit more pleasant in her tone, I wouldn't have labeled it as such. Tone and attitude are critical when speaking over the phone. I SAID WHAT I SAID. To answer the phone and just say "we not taking orders until 2 and then you gotta order online!" Is NOT PROFESSIONAL. I left the exact words out in my initial review because it wasn't that deep but since you took it there, here we are. Now, keep making those delicious sandwiches that people who don't mind poor service and terrible attitudes keep paying for. Oh, and I hope you let your staff off to vote while you are suggesting it to everyone else. And lastly, there are certainly more groundbreaking things to focus on at this moment, BUT it looks like we both had a few spare minutes to chat here, didn't we? Amazing sub very fresh ingredients and more than a handful very pleased from quality to quantity

Not pleased with this place at all!!! I'll stick with "Home of the hoagy" or "Taurus". It's not bad, just not worth the money... to get a decent sandwich, you have to order and pay xtra for everything. The service.. the attitudes are very cocky with a forced kindness. Of course, you hear "thanks for coming" but lacks genuine customer service etiquette. I truly believe the high rating came from friends & family. Though it is worth trying, I won't be back!

It's hard to patronize a business with poor customer service. Called to place an order and the employee was clearly agitated. Called back for issues with website--no answer. The responses to the reviewers really concern me. I'd rather support one of our own, but not at the expense of maltreatment. PLEASE work on customer service, we want you to continue to do well!

I'm not much of sandwich person, but they have the best Blackened Turkey sandwich that I've ever had and it's enough for two meals. I advise you to place your order online, especially if you're using a credit card. So, if you haven't been to Kozy Korner yet, check them out

I ordered a turkey tray for 10 people, I was told the price and method of payment. I complied and the next day I picked up my Turkey tray. The Turkey sandwiches were great.

Customer service sucks! The lady I spoke to over the phone is very rude, I won't patronize here again!
