The ambience of the place was very nice and our server was great! The food however, was not that great. Not much flavor in anything and the soup was very lemony. I only tried the vegetarian menu items, not sure if the meat entrees ate better. All in all, isn't a place I would recommend in Wallingford.

Kostas Opa, a beloved staple anchoring Fremont, closed over 10 years ago, breaking my heart. Imagine my delight that it has reopened on 45th in Wallingford!! I'm in heaven! The Moussaka is just as tender, fluffy, and flavorful as I remember. The flaming Saganaki is still served with the traditional shout of "Opa!" Avgolomeno soup has just the right balance of lemon, the Tzatziki is incredibly creamy, pita bread is grilled. The deliciously sweet Greek Coffee also packs a wonderfully energizing amount of caffeine. Aaaaah. And top it all off with sweet, charming, cheerful, prompt servers, Greek music on the speakers, and tons of delightful Greek decor. The lunch menu contains a bit more American food, including very reasonably priced burgers and Grilled Cheese sandwiches. The dinner menu is all Greek, and Retsina is available! Soooo happy! I'm going to be here a lot. If you like home-cooked Greek food, you'll want to do the same.

My wife got a takeout mediterranean salad and loved it. Great flavor, fresh, and didn't take long for them to prepare given that she didn't order ahead. Good service and fairly priced. We'd like to try more of the menu.

Great little Greek restaurant in Wallingford run by the same people who ran Costas Opa in Fremont back in the day. I ordered the avgolemono with dolmades and loved it. My friend had the lamb and said it was great. The hit though was the very garlicky skordalia. OMG!!! Finished it all over with a very piney retsina. They've just opened so I'm missing a couple of my favorites that I hope will appear down the road. Calamari and char-broiled octopus.

Honestly the best Greek food I've had since I stayed in Crete for several months 25 years ago and a friend's mother would make us absolutely delicious home cooked meals. I had the Happy Greek and it was all great, but the moussaka and dolmades are fantastic. And the galaktoboureko! Wow. Can't wait to try more menu items, I think it's hard to go wrong.

Went here with some friends before a show, and it was really good. We had the Avgelemono soup, chicken souvlaki, Happy Greek plate, and Greek coffees all around, and they were all very good, and authentic!The service was also good!

i am so thrilled that Kostas Opa is open again and this time it's right down the street!! The owners recipe (can't remember his name) for the Avgelemono soup is hands down the best I've ever had!! I get it every time. Everything my husband and I have tried is delicious. I love this place and I hope it can stick around for good.

Great! The food is delicious, ambiance is really nice, and attentive and friendly service. Dolmades, avgolomeno soup, lentil soup, moussaka, and gyros were all top notch. If you're more into the American diner things, their fries were excellent too.

Excellent food, large portions, reasonably priced. The pastitsio was our favorite - the mousaka, spicy prawns and falafel were delicious. Try the flaming cheese appetizer for a fun start to dinner. The place is decorated beautifully but the atmosphere was flat. Head over and show them some love!If you are really lucky Kosta may have Galaktoboureko ready for you!
