We got seated pretty quickly and enjoyed our side dishes immediately. Service was kind and timely! Everything from the tables, floor, bathroom, etc was very clean and welcoming. I ordered soft tofu soup with instine, seafood, and mushrooms. It came in its traditional hot stone bowl, still bubbling. Tofu was soft and fresh while the soup adhered to its traditional tastes. Definitely hit the spot for me!! I will gladly eat this every day.

Based on my Yelp friends' reviews, I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and I'm so glad I got to try tonight! One of my favorite thing about Korean food is banchan (side dishes) as it's so fun to sample a little bit of everything. There were 8 different kinds brought out and I would say taste was about average but I appreciated the diversity and plentifulness. I could make better but it takes a lot of time and effort to make each side dish so I always appreciate someone else doing the cooking. We ordered galbi- Korean beef short ribs, spicy pork belly, and oxtail soup to share. The portion sizes were huge! Could have easily fed 5 people. Both galbi and spicy pork belly were flavorful. I just had a bit of the soup and it was just ok as I expected a richer broth. We were all very full and still had so much leftover to take home. They do charge a 3.5 percent transaction fee for credit cards which is a pet peeve of mine but I honestly didn't mind as it was a TON of pretty good food with great prices. Service was very good although the restaurant was pretty busy, especially for a weeknight. We all said we'd be back so that's always a great sign.

The restaurant features 2 sections, one for the a la carte Korean bbq and another for a la carte dining of soups and such. Having a craving for Korean food I found this tasty establish to offer a wide variety of dishes to choose from that are also quality. The banchan, from my experience, rotate? or have never all been the same in the times I've so gone. All in all, great though I would (and have) go out of my way to come here. The staff are also incredibly attentive and friendly.

After watching so many K drama I wanted to have a nice Korean food and found this Koreatown Restaurant. The atmosphere was inviting with a lively yet comfortable vibe. The service was friendly and attentive. Since it was my first time here, the server was so helpful by explaining the menu items. The standout was the bulgogi which was perfectly seasoned and tender. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of their menu.

Boy, did I miss this place! This was one of my favorite spots when I lived in AZ. Recently, we were "forced" by American Airlines to spend two days in Phoenix, and of course, I had to hit up some of my favorite spots. The last time I visited was nearly five years ago, and I'm so glad the service and quality of food are still just as great. Our waiter was very attentive, and the portions were massive--we even had leftovers to bring home. The place is spacious, clean Nd now rhey offer grill tables as well. I The banchan, jap chae noodles, spicy pork and beef the beef bulgogi were just as delicious as I remembered!

Ok I've been here many times before. Tonight. Was. Bad. And I mean... Bad.I brought my husband and my kids. Let me start by saying Banchan was 4 items... The kimchi was fresh, not fermented at all... The cucumbers were ok, the potato was lacking flavor. Also, once we ordered they disappeared and never checked on us. So no refills on Banchan. The picked radish (wasabi mul) which usually pairs amazing with the brisket lacked flavor and actually had an odd taste. We got the combo for 2-3 people. Ordered ktown short ribs, bulgogi and brisket. The bulgogi was not marinated well. The bean paste stew lacked flavor and the vegetables were undercooked. The spicy noodle dish wasn't very flavorful either. The corn was edible. The seafood in the hot pot was edible. The server came back after we were done to "check" on us. We had to turn off the grill ourselves. I think we had more people checking on us AFTER we were done than during the actual meal. Based off this trip I probably won't be back anytime soon. I'm sad as I used to love Koreatown, recommended it to many and always had it as one of my top Korean restaurants. In times past I have come with my Korean sister and my son... Tonight my husband made a joke that maybe they "dumbed it down" because he was with me.. but tonight. Was. Bad.

Another spectacular meal at Koreatown! I've been on a Japchae kick and Koreatown's japchae definitely hit the spot for me. I love that the japchae is as big, if not bigger than my head! U can't beat the portion size here! It's fantabulous!! The texture and flavor of the japchae was outstanding! Love that they put more veggies and mushrooms in it than another Korean spot that I visited recently. Our servers were nice and upbeat with very pleasant attitudes! For as long as the restaurant has been around, it's very clean, with a relaxing vibe. Looking forward to enjoying another awesome meal here!

We had a party of 23 people celebrating a birthday, and they went above and beyond to accommodate us with the longest table ever. It was a bit tricky for those seated inside to navigate to the bathroom, but we really appreciated their efforts to make us comfortable. The food, as always, was delicious. I was so caught up in enjoying the company that I only managed to snap a picture of the soft shell crab, which was absolutely amazing! Our waiter was fantastic - super efficient from taking our orders to clearing the table for the birthday cakes. Despite the restaurant being really busy that night, they handled everything fast and accurately, which is always a good sign of a legit restaurant.Overall, we had a great time and everyone left with full bellies and big smiles. Thanks to the team for making it a memorable night!

We frequent this restaurant about once every 2 months and we always enjoy the food. We like the free appetizers, the food is usually good and servers are friendly and attentive. Wednesday the 21of February we were the first ones in at 5 PM and ordered the Seafood Hot Pot. It arrived and looked extremely appetizing. There was a generous amount of seafood i.e. crab, shrimp, baby octopus and razor clams which would have been well worth the $50. The veggies in the pot were awesome but some of the seafood was sub-par.The squid and razor clams were good but the Shrimp and Crab were not good at all. When I tasted the section of the crab with the small legs I was extremely disappointed and lost my appetite for the rest of my meal. When the server came over and asked if we were enjoying our meal, I voiced my displeasure to him and he replied " I will pass that on to the chef". My wife continued to eat a bit more then we asked to take the rest home. Overall the soup base was good, veggies great, Octopus, and Razor Clams good, Shrimp and Crab not Fresh. As a side note, when we asked the server for crab claw crackers, we were told, they did not have any. He brought us serving tongs and asked if they would work? Why serve crab claws if you don't have the proper tools to serve it?

KoreatownChoice to eat KBBQ self cook on burners or served cooked and we chose for them to cook and ate family style.Korean Fried Chicken, very good garlic flavor, could have had a little bit more crispy skinGalbi short ribs were flavorful tender and juicy, probably the best entreeBulgogi good flavor but so much liquid almost in a soupy bowl, if it was gravy I would have enjoyed it more Sweet Pork Belly was very bland, probably the most disappointing entree we had, wanted to like it, but was very plain.Oxtail Soup had two pieces of oxtail in it, the soup base was flavorful and delicious Vegetable Japchae was a good dish, nothing mind blowing but good.Had high expectations for this restaurant, a couple good dishes, but a few average disappointing dishes also
