We walked in and got seated right away! Small restaurant but very cozy and I enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere! Great place to hang out and have good food!We ordered two of the Galbi LA Short Ribs and one order of the kimchi Pork belly stir fry. The ribs were tender and easy to tear off the bone, great portion. The pork belly was so good, a little saltier than I expected but I didnt mind it. Pork was juicy and had a nice bite to it! Our meal came with rice, and side dishes (potato, veggie pancake, bean sprouts, kimchi), I loved the potato side dish!Quality korean food, will definitely be back!

Probably one of the best Korean spots in the Seattle area for affordable and quality! This is located in the university district so is more catered to students, but it's definitely worth the visit over. We came at an odd eating time (4:30) on a Sunday and it was already quite full -- more than half the tables were occupied. I got the kimchi tofu soup which came with rice, an egg, and banchan. The banchan here is incredible! They have everything you can want in such good quality too. I loved the fish cakes, potato, and especially the kimchi. Good kimchi is always a sign of a good Korean restaurant :) They even have green onion pancake as a side option! My tofu soup was good but really spicy -- the portion size was good and filling, but I couldn't finish it all since there were so many side dishes and everything else. I also love how they have purple rice! The kimchi was plentiful and also the pork within. I also had a sip of my friend's doenjang jigae which was also amazing. Overall, fantastic spot for some comforting Korean food :)

Not sure why the average rating for Korean Tofu House is so low. The food won't blow you away, but it's certainly very high quality and has that "mom's cooking" feel to it.Here's what I enjoyed at Korean Tofu House:- The banchan they serve is some of the best I've had in the Seattle area. The kimchi is fresh and tasty, and the green onion pancake and braised potatoes (definitely more rare to see) were highlights for me. We were also able to get a generous refill of all these banchan.- The seafood and green onion pancake we ordered was very nice and crispy. It honestly reminded me of tempura at times. I also appreciate that they cut it into more bite-sized pieces which makes dipping it into the sauce much easier.- The korean army stew was actually spicy (much spicier than my gf's tofu soup for some reason even though we both got 4/5 spice) and had some nice big pieces of pork in it in addition to your standard spam and sausage.- I only had one or two sips of my gf's beef tofu soup, but those sips had so much flavor that my impression is that their tofu soup is better than Chodang Tofu's (my usual go-to for tofu soup). Maybe I'll get tofu soup next time. All in all, I'm a big fan of Korean Tofu House and can't wait to come back the next time I'm in the University district.

We have 5 parties. They tried to squeeze us in a 4 seats table for 5 of us! We ordered 4 tofu soups. The korean lady told us that we have to order 1 order per person. We told the lady that we are not hungry. Just for a snack. I can't even finish my seafood tofu soup. By the way, the Shrimp is NOT FRESH!. The tofu soup is just not great. The Korean lady told us that they would not refill our BAN CHAN because we ordered 4 items not 5. FYI, they gave us a lil of Ban Chan. Less than 1 person intake. Only 4 pieces of potatoes. Service is SUCK! Not recommended!

This place makes me really happy. The only thing that makes me happier than writing this review is the thought of returning to this restaurant to enjoy another fine meal!THE ROSES: Korean Tofu House is a wonderfully informal, homey restaurant. The service is efficient and friendly. The portions are generous without being ridiculously large, and the prices are reasonable. The best thing is the food itself. If you like Korean cuisine, you'll love KTH. The food is fresh, and the flavors are bold and assertive - they grab your taste buds by the lapels and don't let go! If you like spice food, ask for a '3' or even '4' spiciness level - otherwise stick with 1 or 2. Some dishes, like the Army Stew, don't give you a choice. This dish is delicious, but only order it if you truly love spicey food.KTH makes its kimchi in-house, and it is truly a delight. All the traditional side dishes that are served with an entree are prepared with care. Nothing is a 'throwaway dish' here.THE THORNS: With this kind of food, I'd really love an ice-cold Korean beer or some souchou to wash it down. Sadly, KTH apparently doesn't have a liquor license, so if you don't do take-out, you'll just have to satisfy your thirst with their generous collection of non-alcoholic beverages.THE VERDICT: Great food and a nice value, the Korean Tofu House hits all the right notes with a solid kitchen and a homey, friendly vibe. Heartily recommend!

Pretty average Korean food place. Food was okay, but not good for the price and subpar service. Would not come here again personally. Note: If you are sensitive to spicy food, be careful of what you order.

I came to Korean Tofu House by recommendation on a Sunday night. I was quickly seated. I decided on the number 22, Spicy BBQ Pork. The dish was super flavorful and delicious. The space is absolutely zero frills. There is also no air conditioning, which wasn't a great combination with the spicy dish, causing me to sweat quite a bit lol. However, I'd do it all the same again. It was a delicious hole in the wall experience.

Came in for lunch/dinner because we were enticed by the signs for cold noodles plastered on the door. Simple Korean restaurant that also does counter service for to go orders. I ordered spicy cold noodles which is available during the warmer months only. The menu says April-October, but they were already serving it (as of March 24) which was nice. The spicy cold noodles was a nice combo of sweet and spicy. There were only 2 little baby pieces of beef so was a bit disappointed about that, but the overall dish was still good nonetheless. The spicy noodles also come with a bowl of icy soup on the side so you can dilute the spiciness as you wish. I appreciated that and the soup was really good too. The noodles were also nice and chewy which I love. The banchan provided was also good, their kimchi is on the spicier side, but oh so good. Braised Potatoes were okay, and I liked the green onion pancake bites that they gave as well. Service was a bit nonexistent. People came to take our order, give banchan, water, our dishes, and that was it. No one came by to maybe refill our banchan :cOverall, pretty good food. Its location in the u district makes it really convenient and I appreciate the fact that they provide counter service for separate to go orders but it'd be nice if their service was more attentive.

Beloved favorite of basically every UW alum. Service is terrible. Minimum ONE order PER person or no refills on banchan. Pay at register when you're done. Soondubu is too spicy. Rice cake & dumpling soup is too salty. Japchae is good but super soupy. If not for the pajeon (Korean pancake- both the side dish & the seafood pancake on the menu), prob worth going elsewhere.
