Koi is a casual dining place with a rustic atmosphere. Server was very friendly and quick to make great recommendations that I am thoroughly enjoying. My meal tonight is edamame in garlic sauce, ginger salad and basil salmon. All topped off with a huge mango margarita! My menu items are large in proportion and tasty. Two people could easily share a meal, all priced reasonably. This my first time in and will definitely try the sushi menu on my return.I highly recommend you check out this restaurant!

it was my second time here, but this time, I tried their Thai food instead of the sushi. I had chicken satay skewers and the pad thai. both of these were pretty average in my opinion. The dishes had decent flavor, but certainly not the best I've had in Nashville. I probably would opt for a different Thai place in the future, but it's not a bad place for a quick meal.

Visited Koi due to an Offline offer and was really pleasantly surprised. They have an expansive menu (which I know is to try to ensure maybe those with a preference for fusion have options too), but it's almost too big. Either way, at the time I was doing a gluten free diet and they had several options for me which was a huge relief! All of our food was served quickly and was hot which was great for me as I am big on temperature. Everything was tasty and great portion size. We'll be back to try more of the menu. Attentive service, quiet atmosphere. Definitely check them out.

If you've ever had Sushi before, this deserves only 1-star. Sushi rice is terrible, bad quality no flavor of rice vinegar as it's the key ingredient to prepare. Like munching plain white rice. We're here for REAL Japanese Sushi not plain white rice "cake". No second chance.

The service was great. As far as ambience, it's a casual and small place. We went in for lunch. The food was just OK. One of us got a bento box with teriyaki chicken and shrimp tempura. The teriyaki sauce was very salty and it wasn't mentioned on the menu there were mushrooms in the chicken teriyaki. One person got Sushi and thought it was good but not great. Chicken lo mein was OK, not amazing. Gyoza was good, the sauce was basic. For the price, we probably won't come back as it wasn't fantastic, but it was alright.

Koi is a casual dining experience. I went to use an Offline offer. Upon walking in, I was caught off guard with how empty it was but it was peaceful and the service was great! The food was generally good but wasn't anything that knocked me off my feet. The sauce in the main dish was missing something. I'll go back but will need to try something different. The sashimi was good but you can't quite mess that up!

Everything was amazing! I've had a lot of sushi and being from south Florida this is the freshest sushi I have had since leaving. The staff was so sweet and the restaurant was really cute and clean. The volcano roll was huge! Definitely recommend.

This is disgustingly. Just picked up this salad and it's brown and wet. I so grossed out I am not sure I want to eat my sushi.

I really enjoyed the pad Thai! While the restaurant didn't get our online order so it took longer to get our food, it was very tasty! Also the portion was large! I will say, it was spicier than I expected. I'll definitely be back!

I had been visiting the uptown Nashville area for about a year for a project. We stopped by Koi several times while staying in the area and had always been quite happy with the service, ambiance, and the food. The restaurant was never super busy when we were there, but there were always at least a handful of tables occupied. They had TVs on over the bar if you were interested in watching whatever sports were on. It wasn't dark, but it wasn't bright either. Kind of "loungey."Between my sushi-loving colleague and I, we would get a few rolls and a couple orders of sashimi/nigri/handrolls and were always very happy with the size of the roll, the freshness, and ratio of fish to rice to veggies. This may not be a super fancy sushi joint that you would take a first date on, but it was our go-to for over a year while staying nearby. I'll be back for sure next time I'm in town!
