Kiwami Sushi Bar & Sake House

A relatively small sushi restaurant. We arrived on a weekday and was seated immediately. Restaurant became fairly busy after 6PM. We ordered: Kiwami Nigiri Special - The nigiri was more mushy than soft.Ultimate Roll w/ snow crab- Both my friends aren't big sushi fans yet they really enjoyed this roll. Definitely a favorite for the night. 7th Heaven Roll & Seattle Tempura Roll - Both rolls were creamy and beautifully arranged together. We liked the 7th Heaven more in comparison to the Seattle Tempura roll. Philadelphia Roll - The cream cheese was a lot sweeter and heavier than I expected. I wasn't a fan w/ this roll. Shrimp Tempura Roll- This roll was good, but difficult to eat as it was very crumbly... or I'm just that terrible w/ chopsticks. The staff is very friendly, but the food overall is okay. I would come here if I'm already in the area.

decent sushi and the prices are reasonable! my experience here was truly great because of our amazing waitress! the restaurant is nice as well:)

This place was a very positive experience comparable to others I've visited thus far.*As long as you have the available funds this place is the best spot!*Beautiful atmosphere by the water front, a bar area that oversees the kitchen and cute tables on the sides.It's a very small business but it's worth the bang for your buck.*I wish I knew the waitresses names but they worked last Saturday, September 17th. Both did an amazing job and checked up pretty frequent to ensure the service was 100%, which was if not above that.* $80 along with the grapefruit drink, I regret not taking a picture of it.*Would recommend here for sure! The food was on point, the flavors meshed very well together.*EDIT: Emma is her name!!

This place lived up to expectations with a diverse selection of skillfully made rolls, tempura, and sashimi. The Sunshine Roll (California Roll with seared salmon, spicy mayo, and sweet sauce) and the spicy tuna roll were particularly satisfying. What sets it apart is the budget-friendly aspect.

A small place but worth the visit. Wide range of options in the menu but wished to see a few more rolls without crab. Sushi overall was solid and tasty! Service was good as well being both speedy and friendly. Loved the presentation of all the rolls as well. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I felt some of the prices are a bit high, 4 rolls and 2 miso soups came out to $73 after tip. Not a crazy bill but two of the rolls were the basic spicy salmon and spicy tuna.

4 stars from me and 1 from my little one who loved it!! Takoyaki 4/5 personally requested by my little one and it's was yummy! Creamy in the inside and crunchy on the outside, but beware it is piping hot!! Truffle Scallop 5/5 So refreshing and I loved the the cracked pepper on top Godzilla roll 5/5 such a fun roll! Tasting and umami and perfectly done I can't believe I've passed this place without even thinking of going in but she was in the mood for sushi and we saw it and decided why the heck not!! So glad we did the place is so cute! And the service was on point, our server was patient with us looking at their impressive menu Will be back!

Great stop for a quick lunch!! They have a decent variety of specialty rolls ~ I appreciated the fact that only a few of them contained tempura and seemed to be more traditional! I feel like new sushi places these days are adding tempura to every single roll...We loved the "Kirkland Roll" which has a cucumber outside! Made it super crunchy and the sesame sauce it came with was a perfect pairing. The "Scallop Truffle Roll" was very heavy on the truffle flavor and had some sort of citrus on top. We couldn't remember from the menu if it was lemon or lime, but you can't taste the scallops at all, so we did not prefer that one. I would definitely recommend their Bento Combo specials!! Our friends ordered them and it had a TON of food. Definitely something I want to order if I ever go back!

This spot has a great atmosphere and friendly staff, but overall not worth it simply based on the food. We ordered their special which was King Salmon. We opted to get it as nigiri. While the cuts of fish were large, it definitely didn't seem fresh. The salmon had a fishy taste (not normal) and was pretty mushy, instead of buttery and soft. Next we had two rolls. Mine was incorrect as it was supposed to come with spicy crab inside, but instead it had the regular crab mix. It also had spicy mayo on top, which normally I'm ok with, but they ended up putting an extravagant amount on. The only thing I could taste was the mayo even after scraping it off. It pretty much just tasted like watered down kewpie. My husband wasn't impressed with his roll either saying it also missed the mark on flavor and freshness. We wanted to like this spot as we frequently go to downtown Kirkland, but unfortunately it wasn't worth the price. For 2 miso soups, an order of edamame, two orders of nigiri and two rolls - the total was $100 after tip.

Came here on a Monday evening around 7:30pm. We had a hard time deciding what to order due to their variety of offerings!I enjoyed their Orion beer. The food was decent and well-priced. Their staff was very attentive and friendly - waited for us to finish our meal even though they closed at 8:15 PM. The environment was nice and clean. It was kind of small, and the tables were pretty close to each other.Felt bad that they confirmed their business had been impacted by the construction in front of them. Hopefully their business will get better after the construction is complete.

Excellent service and Japanese rolls. Accommodated food allergies! Would recommend them to other visitors to Kirkland, BC
