Great addition to this stretch of Madison! I had visited another location last year, so I knew about their high quality curated selection of meal kits, snacks and grab and go items. I had a meeting in the area and needed a quick bite on the go. I opted for a container of tuna salad and a baguette. Tuna salad is definitely NOT something I usually buy, but I didn't want a salad or sandwich with meat (or mozzarella), I had already had Greek salad at lunch and as much as I love Shokupan (milk bread), I wasn't feeling PB&J. Hello you delicious little tuna salad! It was worth the risk, and I ate the whole container in one sitting. I don't know who makes their baguette, but it was fantastic. The counter staff were really sweet, and the store is adorable (parking too!). If you need a quick bite or want to try a meal kit, K&M is worth a visit to one of their existing or soon to be opened locations.

This new location is incredible! It's stunning, well organized, and everything a market should be. They have a small lot and plenty of surrounding street parking. It's in such a great spot and feels like such a great addition to the neighborhood. I love their meal kits, it's so fun to bring home a pack of ingredients and follow and easy recipe, makes me feel like a chef! I also love how curated everything is- they only carry the best of the best and a ton of it is local. The employees were kind and helpful too! I love coming here!

After a previous attempt the day before, I finally was able to visit on 3/24/24 last Sunday. Those Montlake/520 closures and road construction on Madison sure can test ones patience! The Kitchen & Market - Madison Valley location is located between Bar Cantinetta and Cafe Flora. It has a limited parking lot and adjacent street parking.I briefly toured the retail shop glancing at all the displays, but exercising restraint. This is truly a high quality, grab and go, treat yourself (+family & friends) neighborhood bodega. I wanted to also compare this site with my visit & experience at the Pike Place Market location.I stopped by the showcase table to sample and savor the meatball, parmesan crisp, and chocolate chip cookie samples provided by a very personable individual. I ended up buying a tub of their pomodoro sauce (same sauce used with meatball sample) and a roast beef sandwich. The latter was savored down by Lake Washington at the Madison Park Beach. Delicious sandwich, would have been perfection if one bread slice was not soggy due to the contents. But the wrapper helped and had napkins in my car. Pomodoro sauce was used with premium al dente radiatore pasta. This yielded a flavorful dish for dinner.I like the concept for pret a porter/meal kit ideas. Price point not for every budget though, however, one is paying for high quality and well curated items.Current sites are located at Seattle's Pike Place Market, Mercer Island (will return after fire damage renovation), Bellevue/Medina, and this new Seattle/Madison Valley site. Future locations will be in Yarrow Bay/Kirkland and Seattle/Eastlake.Minus one star due to soggy bread, challenging parking situation, and ignored twice waiting to pay at the register.Note: Card payment at the register area, no cash accepted.

The market is now open and it's such a vibe. Meal kits, local goodies and staples galore! What an improvement to the neighborhood. My first (and not last) basket had some house made ciabatta, a curried coconut lentil soup, crostini, my fav wildwonder passionfruit drink and some barista oat milk. Prices were reasonable especially with the goods being so high quality. Next time I go in I'm getting that lavender grapefruit juice and pimento cheese dip with Mamas Lils -- still dreaming about them. Bonus points for the warm greeting and cool prizes on opening day -- you can tell the team works hard to keep the bar high.

Didn't like the experience - expensive food and not worth the money it costs to get it.

Great addition to the neighborhood of good eats! Across/West of Cafe Flora. Above and beyond customer service (friendly, patient, knowledgeable). Lots of meal prep kits, prepared high quality sauces, soups, dips, marinated meats, in house bakery mixes, sauces, and so much more! I can see myself purchasing gifts for cooks in my life, and also grabbing a kit for the new mom or someone recovering from surgery or illness. I've been a fan of blue apron but hate the membership commitment, and the added prep. This establishment is gorgeous and the Nordstrom of grab and go! Everything looks enticing, clean, shiny, and great use space. We came here to pick up a kit for apple galette (which turned out absolutely mouth watering delicious), and left with lavender grapefruit juice (so good I've rationed it), their Vietnamese salad (crunch, fresh, flavorful, enough for two lunches), and their yummy hummus. I thought the price point is reasonable for their offerings. I would like to see more organic meats/produce, but I'd also expect an increase in price which might deter some folx.I'll be back soon! Welcome to the neighborhood!

As a former employee, I recently visited the Medina location to stock up on some of my favorite items, and I was truly disappointed by the experience this past Saturday. When my mom and I entered the store, we were the only customers there, yet we received no greeting throughout our visit. The store appeared understocked and disheveled, with many products unavailable and empty shelves. At checkout, an employee took about 5 extra minutes to look up a product in the computer system, showing no urgency despite a line forming. She said nothing to us during the entire interaction, didn't apologize for the wait, and didn't bag our items while ringing them up, instead shoving them back to us on the counter. Finally, I had to point out the PLU code on the cheese for her to scan, as she began manually typing in the product name again. This experience was frustrating and a far cry from my previous time working for this establishment. During my time as an employee, I received comprehensive training that emphasized excellent customer service. My advice to the company would be to slow down and ensure that its customer service and training do not fall short.

Great food to go, very convenient. Bought a salad which seemed a little pricey but found it was very worth it when I ate it. I also got the tiramisu which was the best ever. Good addition to the neighborhood.
