Kirkland Bar & Steakhouse

Wow, a history gem!!! If you are into 5 star dining this isn't the place for you. Me and the wife had a great time chatting with the owner Herb and Barb. So much history, and plenty of stories to go with it. Wish we were able to see the place in its prime. We will for sure go back.

If you've ever wanted to go into an authentic southwestern country bar this is the place! The owners Herb and Barb quickly made us feel as if we were part of their family and truly happy to have us there! We can't wait to go back!!!

This authentic cowboy rest stop along the railroad is such a staple of Arizona history!! So so cool to see what old timers used to use as a hotel during the horse and carriage days. Pool tables, shuffle board, a juke box filled with old country, a fireplace in the center surrounded by old couches, an old but awesome hotel, the BEST wood fires steaks around and seriously the BEST Bloody Mary I've ever had- this place is a must! So much fun if you're on the Harleys or in the side by sides- we always stop here on the back way into Prescott. Herb and his wife have done a beautiful job at maintaining this piece of incredible history. Ask for the tour into the old safe room- and don't forget to ask about the ghosts :)

Wonderful Steak cooked to perfection in a Wild West kind of way.Ambiance is totally western but the food was DELISH.

After a fairly bracing ride up from Phoenix via US93 and then the cut across to Bagdad, the Triumph Ratpack found themselves at this establishment.From the outside, it looks a little beat up and worn down, but as soon as you walk in you are greeted by the ambience of the place. There is a large formal restaurant area one side of the central bar island and an informal and cozy bar area resplendent with a cast iron woodburner, sofa's and pool tables on the other. A large collection of assorted knicknacks, pictures, et al cover the walls.The service was very friendly, helpful and brisk with the food following shortly behind the order taking. The food itself (at lunchtime) is simple bar fare, burgers (served with a salad to start), pizza, etc; but it was all excellently prepared, fresh and tasty - certainly a few steps up from your local drive thru.

Stopped by this place and had a few beers. The owner is extremely friendly. Great vibe with a western flavor to it. Used to be a country two step club. I think the owner is selling it. Saw a for sale sign outside. The owner insist cooking me a steak on his hand built wood fire BBQ grill. But I was on a schedule so didn't have time. But definitely will have to try his steak when I'm back there.

We have been wanting to come here since 2003 when my parents relocated to Prescott. In 2015, when we moved to Chino Valley, we stopped in one trip and were given a tour. Finally made it with family and friends last night. What were we waiting for???? The owners are sweethearts and our wonderful waitress Michelle, second night serving, was amazing. Food was fantastic! Cannot wait to return! Thanks to all you all!

We give Herb and Barb's place a five, why? Just for the opportunity to visit this historic place as well as having a cold brew at the bar listening to Herb's stories of times past. Thank you Herb and Barb for sharing your memories.

The people that own this bar are great people the food is fantastic the history is outstanding I have never had a bad meal here yet it's out in the middle of nowhere but that makes it unique stop by and have yourself a cold beer and a hamburger or dinner you won't be sorry

Amazing place! On the historical registry! Grabbed a couple burgers from the owner and sat at the in amazement at the grandeur of the place! Just magical!
