Coffee: 4.5/5Pastries: 3/5Vibe: 2.5/5Service:5/5I recently visited Kirkland Bakery and had a pleasant experience. The mocha I tried was excellent, easily one of the better coffees I've tasted in the greater Seattle area. My friend also felt it was among the top coffees around. The pastries were a highlight of our visit. I particularly recommend the Danish cheese fruit - it was delicious. The staff were friendly, contributing to the overall nice vibe of the place. While the decor might seem a bit old, it doesn't take away from the bakery's appeal. They offer a good variety of treats, from pastries and cakes to sandwiches and crepes. I heard their croissants are very tasty, but unfortunately, they were sold out when I visited, which I think speaks to their popularity. An interesting observation was a group of girls at a nearby table enjoying a whole cake, exclaiming, "It's so good!" Their enjoyment was quite evident and added to our positive experience.Overall, Kirkland Bakery is a nice spot to visit if you're in the area and looking for some good coffee and pastries.

Came here on Sunday morning and it wasn't crowded at all. The place is nice and clean and open and a good place for coffee. The person taking my order was very helpful and suggesting some good pastries. It seems like they are mainly focusing on croissants and variations of it with different fillings and toppings.I got:Cinnamon roll - really tasty even at room temp. You get the strong cinnamon taste and it wasn't too sweetTurkey and herb croissant - yummy, a good lunch as it was filling and hearty. Guava and cheese strudel - standard. I do like that it wasn't overly sweet. Definitely will be back to try their other things to see if it's consistent. Prices are pretty standard as well as their offerings are on the larger side

Scrolling through Yelp for bakeries I discovered a place I had never heard of before, the Kirkland bakery. Apparently renamed from the French bakery at the same location they have all the great baked goods like croissants, pastries, sandwiches and delicious coffee. Staff is friendly and there is always a group of regulars in after a bike ride or a long walk. Good excuse to consume some carbs.

The Kirkland Bakery is in the old space where the French bakery used to be across from the Heathman. I came in just before closing and ordered an individual quiche Lorraine and hot tea to go. Both ladies who helped me were super nice. It took quite some time to get my quiche, but it was absolutely delicious!

This place is great, but the prices went up a lot. It's now ~$6.00 for a croissant/basic pastry. Service is fine and kitchen prepared meals are tasty. Wish the prices were more reasonable.

Went on a Sunday morning. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with the scent of freshly baked croissant....so that's a great start! I just wanted an almond croissant and an americano. The others with me both got croissant sandwiches, with egg and avocado and bacon or ham. Our food was excellent. The almond croissant was a real treat. Flaky and a little chewy (just enough) and light and flavorful- without an excessive amount of almond filling. It was a delicious flaky croissant. The sandwiches looked great and judging by the fact they were both devoured, I'll take that as a sign they tasted great too. The ambience is a little strange. It's a big place and judging from the size of the kitchen, a true bakery, where they are making everything on site. The baker/chef who made the sandwiches, was also making crepes and commanded the kitchen with ease. He was fun to watch as he was really good at what he was doing and doing it with a smile. The seating area is the weird part. For such a big place there is not a lot of seating. It could maybe be set up a bit different to get more bistro tables in there. I loved the giant menu chalkboard wall. It made it easy to read while waiting in line so that we were ready to order when we got to the front. The prices were average and I felt well priced for everything being made in house, and good portions. The staff seemed pleasant enough. I mentioned the cook. The register person was fine and the coffee people didn't engage really. Nothing to write home about on that front, but nothing negative either. My only suggestion would be a better seating arrangement, more selection as everything was a flaky pastry (croissant or danish) and two choices of muffins. It would be great to see a really good baguette available as well as maybe an English scone or a cinnamon roll or something. They do make crepes, so that is nice. And lastly, the coffee was just ok. Not sure what they use, but seeing as most of their items have a bit of a French vibe, I feel like it should be a good European or French coffee. It was a bit weak and no crème on top of the espresso at all. But that's it! I will be back and have already recommended it to a friend.

I really enjoy their breakfasts. They also have a great assortment of pastries. It's popular so there can be a line and parking on the street can be challenging.

Great little cafe! Conveniently located across the library, it has a few tables inside and outside too. The collection of sweet and savory pastries are great. They also have lunch options, sandwiches, crepes etcCoffee is good too, although I wish it wasn't over $5 just for a latte! They always seem to be out of Thai iced tea which is disappointing. Front desk staff are cordial enough. Could be more friendly.

Love this neighborhood bakery in the heart of downtown Kirkland. On my first visit I had a chocolate croissant and raspberry croissant, both were flaky and flavorful and generous sized. On my second visit my wife and I decided to try some of their breakfast croissants, and they were savory and filling, and matched perfectly with the drip coffee and mocha we ordered. I think our favorite pastry was the fresh fruit cream cheese croissant, that was melt-in-your-mouth delicious! Also took home a blueberry muffin that I enjoyed the following day. And service is so friendly here, she treats everyone like a personal friend!Street parking can be hit or miss in the area depending on the hour, but normally you can find a spot within a block of where you're going.
