Recently started going here because of the reddit reviews. Incredibly good quality sushi and at reasonable pricing. Great selection of drinks. The staff is warm and the ambiance is very cozy. One of our favorite spots in the western suburbs.

Fillers - Feedback for the RestaurantI'll get right to the point. I ordered 4 simple sushi rolls (Spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon, Spicy Scallop, and a Philadelphia roll). These types of simple rolls usually only have a couple ingredients: the fish being one of them then the rice, maybe a seaweed wrap, cucumber, and the spicy sauce. Even with the other ingredients, you usually get enough of the fish that you taste it.I always order these first because they are so simple if they don't do these right then nothing else will be done correctly. There was almost no fish at all. It was filled with so much rice and cucumber and the fish was barely there. I've included many pictures to show this.I know that times are tough and prices have gone up, and I do my best to support local / small businesses, but don't sacrifice the quality. I pay around the same amount at other places for the same rolls and get much more fish. This looks like they are cutting corners to save money. Even the miso soup was really watered down.Honestly, I would rather pay an extra dollar per roll for them to be made normally, with the right amount of fish. Don't try to save money at your customers expense. This put a bad taste in my mouth and now I'll probably never return.

Stopped by this little gem in Carol Stream for lunch and it was such a pleasant surprise! Cute little place, staff was so friendly and sushi was fresh! We got the sashimi lunch special and it came with miso soup, a little house salad, a California roll, 4 pieces of chef selection sushi and about 6 pieces of sashimi and a small bowl of rice. It was perfect and hit the spot. Sashimi was on the thin side but for $14 lunch special and you get all this food, not a bad deal at all.

My husband and I invited my brother to meet for dinner at this hidden gem in Carol Stream. After reading exceptional reviews we decided to meet up to try a few dishes. I definitely would recommend this restaurant for dining in or takeout. The server was very attentive and did not make you feel rushed since the menu is extensive we were still able to take our time. The small establishment had a relaxing atmosphere yet we were able to have conversation without straining to hear each other. I especially enjoyed the jazz music playing lightly in the background. We will definitely be back since there is so much to choose from!

Kinta Sushi has one of those unassuming store fronts since it's tucked away in a small strip mall next to a convenient store and Chinese buffet, but they're actually pretty legit. We came in on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty, so it seems to be more of a take out spot.The portions are fairly generous at the price point and we've always had a good experience. All the servers are always hustling and make sure drinks are always topped off and the food comes out quickly.As someone with a more Americanized palate who doesn't typically eat more traditional sashimi/nigiri, I usually stick to the deep-fried specialty rolls. The King Kong and Miami rolls are my personal favorites. The other rolls our group usually recommends are the Cry Cry, Love Love, and Atlantic rolls.Overall, Kinta is a super reliable, local sushi spot. They are a small business with hard-working employees so I'd recommend to give them a shot.
